We have just got back from the Hotel Palma Nova and after reading the reviews prior to going was pleasantly suprised.
The resort itself is great and only 20 mins walk to Magaluf.
The Hotel was clean and the rooms were adequate. We were there a fortnight and the food was great, plenty of choice for all. The drinks were strong and so if not a big drinker ask for small spirits.
The only downside was we had to get up early to get a sun lounger and brolly and with us taking a baby with us this was relevant as the weather was really hot!!
Would recommed and will hopefully going back there in the next couple of years

Clean and tidy,rooms cleaned daily,clean towels. Food is very good and if you find it repetitive its because your having 3 cooked meals a day.Staff friendly and entertainment good. No problem with drinks ,perfect.Only down point is sunbeds you must get up early or do what I did throw the towels in a pile if the beds were not being used. Resort a stones' throw away aswell as the beach absolutely lovely .
Probably one of the best holidays my family has had.

Just returned from the Palma Nova Hotel.
Accomodation was great we had 3 rooms booked and got them all next toe ach other. The only day we did not get clean towels was Sunday. But our rooms were cleaned every day.
meals were good a bit repetative but did not have a bad meal all 2 weeks we were there. Snacks are not supposed to be taken out the restaurant but eceryone did it and no one asked you not to. The onlt compaint i would say is their are no hot snacks at night. the drink is okay but very strong just ask for a small drink and they will cut down the alcohal.
Pool Area was great the people we met there were all nice everyone joined in and spoke to each other. The first week you had to be up early to get a sun bed but the second week you could get one at 11am as the hotel was not to busy.
Location is 5 minute from the beach and centre. We went to the stadium bar it was expensive for drinks 8 euros for a vodka but it was a good night.
overall i thought this was a very good hotel and i would certanlt go back next year.

booked this holiday on reccommendation of travel republic as my request was for a holiday near the beach with no hills and good for the children
we had a people carrier to the resort from the airport which i would highly reccommend as the journey only takes 25 minutes this way.1st impressions were very good and the hotel seemed clean and friendly..im afraid to say this is where the impressions stopped,
we had booked 1/2 board and the food was very repetitive and barely warm enought to eat,one one morning the beans looked and tasted as though they had been re-warmed in tap water.we did not have a change of bedding or towels for the first four days and then after complaining three times we got them changed.
we arrived at the hotel on the monday and on the wednesday there was an incident with some people two rooms away which resulted in a pool of blood outside their room door which led all the way down the corridors and down 3 flights of stairs and into the lobby..this was not cleaned up for 3 days.the young child we took dropped a few of his chips on the restaurant floor on the tuesday evening and the same chips were still in exactly the same place on the friday.
the entertainment for both the children and adults is either none existant or very very poor effort.we did find the entertainment we were promised but it was a short walk away at the neighbouring marina torrenova(very highly reccommended)the guys and girls there work their butts off to make you feel welcome.i will have to add also that we had a bottle of aftershave stolen from our room and when i asked the manager what was going on he told me he was too embarrassed to ask the cleaner in charge of our room because she had worked there for so many years.we were also made aware of money going missing from other peoples rooms so something here is not quite as it should be.and no one will do anything to stop it happening,we had our camera go missing on the thursday which we knew for sure we had left in a specific place in our room,we did eventually find it and it had been wrapped up in the dirty bedding which had been removed from the bed by the cleaners and was ready for placing in the laundry bin(something else we nearly lost).
we took an elderly lady on holiday with us and this was her 1st time abroad and the reason why i wanted a place where it was flat,this is completely the opposite to what we got because the hotel is on a very very steep hill and there are more than 100 steep steps to the nearest beach.the rooms do come with free airconditioning but to be honest its completely useless and not even cold!the mini bar in the hotel is currently out of use due to there bieng a hole in the ceiling the size of a freezer.
we had a late afternoon flight home and asked to keep the room on for a few hrs more to get showered before our departure,this is not possible as they dont have a policy of letting you keep a room for any longer than 12 noon even if it aint spoken for.
to sum this holiday up i believe this hotel is a cheaper option for the 17-30 yrs olds than staying in magaluf which is only a 10 minute walk away,this is very evident due to the amount of used cndoms littering the path directly outside the hotel(disgusting for the adults to see let alone the children).one more thing to mention is the daily overwhelming stench of sewerage and rotting dustbin waste that you can smell as soon as you leave the hotel front doors
we will certainly never ever return to this hotel and never ever again trust travel republic to find us a holiday to suit or needs.

well me and my family just got back on the 7th of july o7 where shall i start well the hotel is beautiful with lovely grounds and 2 pools the main pool is big not like it says in some of the read ups its shallow one end (2ft)then the other end about (12ft)and then there,s the infant pool which they can get in and out them selfs which was ideal,
well we were lucky we was given a family room which had 2 bathrooms which was a bonus the room was massive so if they give u your key card with the room number 115,215,315,415,515,615,715 then u hit the jackpot with sea views,
breakfast was the same every morning(cereals,toast,fry ups,dinners where a bit varied but not much,a lot of pork,hake,chips and more chips,teatime was about the same but u could always find some thing to eat as they had a lot of salads on offer as well,the late night snacks where sandwiches out of a fridge behind the bar cheese or ham or ham or cheese and they taste revolting so if your kids fancy a burger,hotdog or fries there will be a long wait coz all u get is hard sandwiches and if u are like my wife and daughter and dont have butter you will have to starve or do wot i did walk to mc donalds most nights, there is only 1 bar open at a time so there wil be some que,s
the night time entertainment was garbige the adult entertainment for the adults lasts about 1hr oh by the way if your kid fancy,s a free ice cream tell them to get out the pool dry off put their cloths back on and go into the restraunt and sit in there and eat it then come back out and get back in the pool i know its a joke do wot i did sneak them out it saves buying them from the pool bar well after all that we still had an excellent time like i say the hotels spotless but the staff are over worked so u cant blame them the night time entertainment is inside the hotel as there is a 1100pm ban on loud music out side but we heard this was all due to the hotel being under new managment and making cut backs
but like i said me and my family still had a lovely time and we would go back again if they altered a few things (late snacks as it cost me a fortune at maccy dees )

Just returned from Palma Nova Hotel & had a great time. Was a bit concerned after reading the reviews before we went but had nothing to worry about. Arrived rooms were spotless & spacious even though we had three beds in room, Was on the second floor & had a long balcony so not sure if this was due to being on a corner as we also had another door off the room with a smaller balcony.
Food was fine you would always find something to eat, but must admit not that great of choice to cater for toddlers. Also the snacks were a bit of a let down but again you would always find something to snack on, we quite often had cheese toastie as there is a toastie machine in the dining room. Also all food has to be eaten in the dining room, people were getting into trouble for taking it out too the pool. Which I think is a shame for people with little ones like us that have no patience to eat in a dining room & would have been handier so feed my daughter at the poolside.
You get your money worth with your drinks. The alcohol ones were really strong which resulted in quite a few hangovers but I think that was just to pure over indulgence. Was handy being able to get soft drink for my little girl any time. The entertainment staff were brilliant, & extremely good with kids and always trying to get adults to participate in activities. They work really long hours & were good fun. The bar staff some were friendly but most of the time seemed like a hassle to them, but again I suppose it is the long hours every day. Roberto was the friendliest. There are two swimming pools a large one next too the bar & up about six steps a reasonable size childs pool which is great as little ones can climb in & out themselves & puddle about without dragging you into the pool every five minutes. We never had a problem with sunloungers either but it was the first two weeks in June so possible a bit quiter than high season. We went to Golf Fantasia about three times, just next door, great fun, really nice when lit up at night.
Beach is just a two minute walk depending on how fast you walk, ha ha. Great places to eat are Saffron an indian restaurant, just turn left at Pizza Magic just past the Golf. THey also do take aways. Also The Venetian Palace is great for food too & staff very friendly, it is just next door to Pizza Nova.
A booking to this hotel is recommended as I would return to this hotel. So if you have booked have a fantastic time cos we did.

Just returned from Palma Nova hotel on an all inclusive basis, hotel is very clean and so are the rooms, clean towels daily, room was ample size for the 2 of us, plenty of hot water too,no kettle though or hairdryer.
Food was a little repetative with alot of pork, hake and veal but i always managed to find something to eat, would not recommend to fussy eaters though as there was only one night where there was carved meat by the chef, rest of the time it was usually in sauces or breadcrumbs. not alot of choice of puddings either.Pool area was fairly big with plenty of sunbeds but then it was only the start of the season. Was suprised that the snacks were only sandwiches though and there was no free icecream.
Entertainment isn't that good and the safety deposit boxes are very expensive ?24 for a week ! + ?10 deposit
There are only 2 lifts which are fairly slow so a bit of a pain waiting for them.
The beach is only about a 5min walk from the hotel and there are some nice bars along the seafront.Palma Nova is a lovely place with calm sea and white sandy beaches.
I would return to this hotel but don't think I would go in high season,

Had a brilliant holiday, from hotel to resort to beach. hotel staff very helpful and friendly.florida restaurant a few doors away great food lovely staff strip full of bars and nightlife to suit all ages.great atmosphere about the place 4th time there would go back again and again.

sightseeing trips palma nova -magaluf has it all,enjoy!!!!

I found the hotel very clean and room was good, cleaners in every day of my weeks stay. food was excellent with choices every day. as for the all inclusive drinks, be careful measures are very large served in pint glasses. met lots of friendly people here which made my stay brilliant as i went alone. the stadium bar in the town was very good has tribute bands, but drink at 5 euro i thought were dear but between 12- 2-00 am its buy on get one free... enjoyed it so much am going for a week in april 2007 .

fter reading other reviews on here we were a little worried about going !! The start was alittle shaky as we got stung for £60 excess baggage charge at the airport!!
Going in a group of 18 was always a bit daunting but the first impressions of the hotel when we arrived there at 7pm was great. Checkin in was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. All the rooms were really clean with the expection of 1. It was clean but had a bit of damp smell but we were moved straight away with no complaints. The rooms were of a fair size slept 3 comfortably with no probs..The only downside was that there was no tea or coffe making facilites and after using the all inclusive bar all night you needed a good cuppa in the morning !!
The hotel was clean and well looked after, never a mess, there was always cleaners going around picking things up. The pool was spotless even if a little cold. A lot of people have said that the staff were not very friendly, they do give that impression but if you try and talk to them and engage them in conversation they are great. Food was excellent, different things every night. The snacks in between couldn't be faulted. the drinks at the bar excellent, you got 1/2pt of spriits !! Even when the all inclusive time ran out the bar prices were really cheap.
If you do go out try Hennessey's on the sea fornt for some excellent cocktails. If you venture into Magaluf give the 3 Lions bar a go..very friendly staff and great deals on drinks too (even if the bar man is a scouser!!)
The entertainment staff were great, they put on some great shows and were really friendly.
The only downsides to the holiday were that the airtours rep was never there even though she was supposed to based at the hotel. The week we were there was the last week of the season for the hotel and they started sgutting every thing up on the Friday lunch time which was a bit poor as the kids had no use of the facilties. They also started to run out of different foods too.........
All in all it was a good hotel, not sure what it would be like in the top of the season though as i imagine it would get a bit crowded. Well worth a visit out of season though

My family consisted of myself (Sue), son,(Arron) daugter in law (Fiona) friend debbie and 3 grandchildren (Shane Lisa and Gavin) we had a fantastic 2 weeks, food was good with a good choice, hotel is brilliant,we found all the staff and reps very friendly, entertainment staff Christina Rui and Paloma) were excellent, although it was very hot in the entertainment area. As with all hotels we do think that a safety deposit box should come as standard security and not to be paid for on top of your holiday. Resort is really nice beach is only 5 mins from the hotel which overlooks the Fantasia golf course (well worth a visit) with lovely restaraunts and nice bars, Magaluf is a short walk away and has some really nice restaraunts as well as entertainment.
A holiday with something for everyone, this was my 3rd Visit to Palma Nova and would definately go back again.

When we first arrived we were shocked to be put into a room with two single beds and two camp beds crammmed together. You could not swing a cat in theses rooms. walls are paper thin, we were kept awake most of the night by adjoining rooms. Then when we did get to sleep at 3am we were awoken by people returning from night clubs.
the food was cr*p very repetative. Much about the same thing every day. Infact we got that sick, we ate out, or had takeaway most of the time. It was very disappointing as it did cost us a alot of money. There was no selection for children, my son lived pasta until we decided enough is enough. Snacks were exactly the same three times a day. Burgers that were not eaten for snacks seemed to end up on the menu in the evening. The icecream for kids was basic little tubs with the nicer ones costing 2 euros 60.
if you like sharing your dinner with flys this is the hotel to go to.
Staff are very miserasble and unfriendly espeacially paqui whose face would crack if she smiled.
the pool was closed cos someone decided to use it as a toilet on two occasions.
what more can i say the resort was nice Palma Nova was great. The water parks are really good.Pizza Nova does a lovely take away, and Natalie's on the front does a great sunday dinner with a proper cup of tea.
Back to the Hotel i would not recomend this hotel to anyone it is very noisy with kids running around vandalising and swearing while parents are getting drunk. Rooms are very very small, basic is an understatement. The pools are too small for the capacity for this hotel, and there are not enough sun beds for everyone. Most beds were taken by 7:30am.
This is the first time my family and i have done all inclusive and will definately be the last.

This hotel is very clean, and the air-conditioning in the rooms is really good. However, the room is the smallest I have ever stayed in, three beds squashed together I was in the middle of my husband and daughter, and had to shuffle down the bed to get out, no room either side of beds.
Hotel really busy, did not get a sunbed all week as I was on holiday and refused to get up at the crack of dawn to book beds. However, on last day got up at 8am and managed to reserve the last 2 available beds until the afternoon when we left. Husband and daughter had very sore eyes after being in the pool, too much chlorine, oh and by the way no lilos, etc allowed in pool.
We were eaten alive by mosquitos together with a lot of others at the hotel, I had 36 bites in all! My husband blamed the Golf Fantasia as fresh water ponds and mosquitos everywhere, close to hotel. Don't know if this was right, but still suffering now.
Food good, lots of variation, although not enough tables to accommodate everyone, most days had to clear a table myself and set it again with cutlery.
Went on beach every day 9 euros for 2 sunbeds and umbrella for day. Very nice beach, watch out for people selling fruit, etc, avoid at all cost!
Plenty of shops, restaurants, bars to keep everyone happy. Plenty of entertainment in hotel, although we prefer going out in the evening.
All in all good holiday, but would not stay at this hotel again, prefer somewhere bit more up-market.

First of all the bad points.
1. not enough sun beds, if you are not up for 7 oclock forget it and if you dont stay with your beds and towels the pool keeper will take them off and put them on the outdoor stage. you need to stay with them until 8.30am.
2. The hotel staff dont no how to smile they all need a course in customer service they are not pleasant at all.

In brilliant posistion, food great, rooms clean and tidy everyday, air con good. Food all day if you want it, drinks good and plentyfull, pool side always clean, they clean it every day.Beaches loveley and clean, its only a 2 min walk to beach.
The Stadium is a good night its just over the road. Lots of nice pubs. Entertainment in hotel is ok but its inside and its very hot so didnt bother with that much, after evening meal it was nice to sit by the pool bar for an hour or so then go into the town. Had a great time so go and enjoy see for yourselfs would deff go back, just wished staff would be a bit more friendly.
Our boys had a great time and loved it they are already saying they want to go back next year.

we arrived at the hotel at 12.30pm and ower room wasn't ready but didn't have to wait too long room was ok 3 beds and a settee that went into a bed not a lot of wardrobe space for 4 of us but i took a storage stacker that made things easier hotel is very nice and clean. Food was nice and plenty of choice but 2nd week was the same so got a bit fed up by the 10th day kids loved the food and snacks that were avaible so can't moan at that as long as they were happy so were we.
hotel is only a couple of min from a great crazy golf course 54 holes (give yourself a good few hours) you can go and come back as many times in the same day though thought that was goodtickets cheaper in the hotel for the crazy golf.
entertament in the hotel was 100% the staff were fantastic with the kids and grwn ups they worked really hard.
I found the hotel bar by the pool very dangerous people got out of the pool straight to the bar so floor got really wet therefore was very slippy sore a few accidents while we were there that resulted in people having stitches so be careful in the pool side bar apart from that the staff behind the bar were really good and so were the measures everything in plastic pint size glasses hehe.
The sun beds went very fast you have to be up at the crack of dawn and put your towels on but don't leave them as the pool attendant will take any towels off beds that no-one is with and put them on the stage if you stay till after 8am your ok my husband was up at 6am every morning along with about 6 other men and they stayed till 8am and they were fine but they sore a lot of towels that were left moved off the beds.
This hotel is full of familys of all ages and we had a fantastic time and meant some great people we will be booking for next year as soon as we get chance and for anyone who needs to now if your traveling with a diabetic like i was (my son) there is diet coke for them he was really pleased with that overall holiday great.

arriving after an early morning flight,we were immediatelydisappointed when allocated a room on the 4th floor, that would have had trouble sleeping 3 never mind myself,wife and 2 x 14 year old boys.we complained immediately that this room was unacceptable (2 single beds,a sofa bed and a camp bed)bedside tables crammed under the dressing table.
reception informed us that there were no other rooms available,my wife contacted the 24hr helpline,but was given the runaround.the rep was absolutely hopeless,more intent on selling trips to new arrivals,but eventually offered us a move to the hotel honolulu (an inferior hotel in my opinion) at a cost to us of 625 euros ! we declined this and eventually the camp bed was replaced with a single bed.
the hotel itself is clean,the pool area gets extremely busy, wasnt til our last day that the hotel staff decided to stop people booking their sunbeds in the middle of the night(and we thought the germans were bad).the pool was closed on several occasions during our stay(would appear that some people would rather use the pool as a toilet).
the food was very good,if not repetitave.the bar staff very grumpy and hardly ever smiled,allowing only 3 drinks per person(most people travel as a group of 4)
all in all not the best holiday we have had,palma nova is a very nice resort and we would return to it, but not to this hotel.we heard of many complaints of the overcrowding while we were there,so beware and ask about the size of your room when you book !!!!

We have just been to the Palma Nova hotel in Palma Nova, the hotel is situated about 2 minutes walk from the beach and is next door to the Fantasia crazy golf (54 holes!!)
We had some delays (typical) and arrived at the hotel at 4 am after one of our partys cases was left in manchester (a big thank you to Thomas Cook for not putting the case on the plane!) then we get to our room and its like a matchbox... tiny.
We had two beds together and then a sofa bed which took up all of the room. To get on the balcony we had to close up the sofa bed to open the door.
Food:- Breakfast 8am - 10am Lunch 1pm - 3pm and Dinner 6:30pm - 9pm. The first couple of days we thought it was great, lots of variety but then it seemd to be the same every day. There is a lack of choice for the kids there only seemed to be chips, burgers, sausage and spag-bol, even the little one said she is sick of chips and burgers!!(these are the "snacks" available all day) there is no indication on how long the food has been sitting there, they just change them when they run low. A lot of people from the hotel were eating out because of the lack of variety and low quality food.
Drinks were not bad, local spirits coca-cola etc, but i thought it was a realy poor pint of san miguel. they do serve other beers but you have to pay for them, same with the ice creams - to get a "proper" one you have to pay.
Pool area - gets packed quickly, very overcrowded and i think the british are getting as bad as the germans for leaving the towels on the beds! there is a life guard there, and he wont allow lilo's to be used in the pool. A lot of people, including the lifeguard, had complained about the poor quality water leaving people with a rash, we avoided the pool like the plague! although it might be better if its a bit quieter.
the hotel is in the quieter part of palma nova but decent bars are close by. We went to The Stadium bar, which has an act on everynight such as Elvis and Abba etc, and there are a few coctail bars close by. And a taxi to magaluf area is 5 euros if you want it lively.
The beach is great, clean and clear water. Hire of 2 sun loungers and an umbrella costs 9 euros. But there is a lack of activites close to the hotel beach. Watch out for the gypsies too, they'll try to sell you cold water, beer and fruit on the beach, they sold some older people two small bottles of water for an unbelievable 25 euros!!
Water parks are close by (magaluf) there are 2 big parks - aqualand and western park - situated next door to each other. we booked through a ticket outlet and it cost us 18 euros per adult and 1 free child.
overall crap food, great location, clean hotel

We arrived no problem booked our flight BMI great service, booked our accomodation from via website last December 2005 no problem. My parents we flying out the day before with my sister and brother-in-law.It was for special birthday's for my parents. No one in the family knew that we were going to "SUPRISE,SUPRISE" them. On arrival to the hotel we booked and paid for last year THE PALMA NOVA PALACE 4 STAR We were greeted by the unhappy staff with the Hotel is overbooked you will go to our sister Hotel the Palma Nova! What we was'nt told was it normal practice just down grade.
Not very helpful the staff. When we walked wheeling the cases to the next hotel the greeting was'nt much better there. My family was'nt in this hotel they managed to get into the one we thought we had paid for. The Palma Nova is no way a 3 star noisey you could hear every step along the corridor, every door opening and shutting, every guests vioce shouting and chatting as they go. The pool and gardens was ok.Most of the time we went to the other hotel to spend time with the family. When speaking to other people we found out the this is a regular thing "Book and pay for a 4 Star then when you arrive be down graded to a 3 Star" If you have booked your holiday already please be warned as you could end up out of pocket the same as us!

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
On arrival we were lucky our room was ready so we checked in easily other people had to wait as the rooms were not ready. Staff not very friendly but not too bothered about that.
Room small but clean, view terrible as all we could see was a skip and apartments which looked as thought they were rather dirty.
We left our cases and decided to have a look around. The hotel advertised 3 bars, only one of them in use. The pool bar not open as the weather was not too good. The Manhattan bar closed, everyone had to use the bar in the room beside the restaurant. You did get a queue at times but not too bad.
Our first meal was lunch could not fault it just what you would expect from spain, lots of salad, chips, but plenty of variation as well, in the week that we stayed we had lamb chops, veal,pork, carvary which included beef as well as chicken, pasta, and of course the paella. In the restaurant you could get red and white wine or water, if you wanted to have a soft drink of a beer you had to go out to the bar.
The staff were a lot older than you usually get but they were quite pleasant but if you went in half way through the alloted time they were not too happy to see you and if you went in just before closing they showed you to your seat and seemed appeared to stand around making you feel awful.
The entertainment was the typical spanish night out for the British, childrens disco with the same music every night, then bingo and then the act. Ususally the entertainment team from the hotel, they try but not very good.
The hotel is in a great position at the end of Palma Nova as we call it in bay 3. Palma Nova has 3 bays all connected by the prom. Great to walk along on a sunny day.
In the evening go to The Stadium, every type of entertainment you could think of.
All in all the hotel in good value for money but if we go again and we get the same standard of room I would ask to change. One of the best All Inclusive we have stayed in in the Spanish islands.
Go with an open mind and you will enjoy, espeically if the weather is good and all of the bars are open.

This is my personnel opinion.
I read these reviews before I went and I thought at the time what have I done I've booked a holiday from hell. Not True!.
This is the second all inclusive holiday I have been on in Majorca this year and this one has to be the best for everything, I would defiantly go back to this hotel.
The hotel has been recently renovated, The rooms are not as small as some are saying, They are about same size of room as you would get at any other Hotel in Spain. Granted it could get a bit tight if there is a family of four sharing, But all you have to do is contact the hotel before you go to arrange a family room if you think this is going to cause you a problem or depending on the ages of your children book two rooms. It's your Tour Operator It Is at Fault Not the Hotels fault for these over crowding problems, Try and get it sorted before you go, As for noise you can hear a bit of noise, But if that bad all you need do is Phone or go to reception they will deal with it, As they did when we were there.
Getting back to the hotel,
It is very clean,The room maids are very friendly and are hard workers, Rooms are cleaned everyday and towels are changed daily, The reception staff a very polite and are very helpful, There is only two lifts which only holds six people at a time in each lift, So when it come to checking in and out day, It can be a bit of a pain so you have to be patient.
Dinning Room.
This is coming from a person who is a very fussy eater, The food was fanatic, Food quality was first class, At breakfast time, It's the biggest choice of food I have ever seen from any other hotel I have been in for breakfast food choices, Same goes for all the other meal sitting, You could have had a full meal at snack time, That is the first time I saw this for snacks, For some one to say they had to eat out a lot I am just wondering if they were at the same hotel, We had to skip meal's because we were eating for the sake of eating, I have to laugh at some people, They complain about the food at this hotel, But when you go around the resort and look in some of the restaurants what do you see the complainers eating burger and chip's or steak and chip's, It Just the same food they are eating as what they where complain about in the hotel. For you would not go hungry in this hotel, The restaurant staff are very friendly and very hard working.
The Bar,
The bar staff are very friendly and very efficient, The beer is San Miguel on draft and it is served pint plastic tumbler, And it not watered down like some other all inclusive hotels, Soft drinks are on draft it's your Coke-a-cola, Fanta, Seven up. The sprits are a good local quality, You have to ask for the bar staff to calm down when they pouring you out a Nip.
The Pool.
The pool area is not that big, But when we where there it was not that busies, But there is plenty of sun bathing area's to go to, You have balcony right above the bar where you can go to with plenty of subbeds.
The Entertainment.
It was not my cup of tea, But the other 150 to 200 other guest that packed into the entertainment lounge every night must have thought it was good so I am not going to slate some thing I did not go to see. But the wife got to play her Bingo every night and she was happy with that, Some night they were playing for 289 euro for a full house.
The Resort of Palma Nova.
There are lots of things within walking distance to go to, You have the Aqua park's at Magaluf four kilometres walk from the Hotel.
Same with the Pirates Show at the end of Magaluf it's about three and half kilometres walk from the hotel, This show is a must see it's worth every penny, Then you have Marineland for which you can jump on a free bus which you can catch not far from this hotel, And it will also take you to the aqua park as well.
Marlneland is a place I would recommend not to go too, As I did not find it value for money it is not a very big place it cost 38 euro for two adults, It's about the same size as a football pitch and that's no lies, Wee just missed the dolphin and sea lion show's when wee got in, And would had to wait three and half hour to see the next one, Wee managed to see the patriot show which lasted ten minutes, It took us longer to get a cup of tea, All the staff seam to be interested in is taking a souvenir photos with the sea lions and charge you daft prices for not good quality photographs, In my opinion the place is a right rip off, NOT VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY.
Then you have Son A'Mar this is another dinner show you must see, Good value for money, As you are there for about five hours, The three course meal is first class, And the entertainment is first class as well, This show is more for adults, And not for young children.
Then you have Palma it's self for which is only 25 to 45 minutes journey on the local buses all depending which bus you take, Beware of pick pockets when you visit Palma, It is a very beautiful place to spend a day or two with lot's of things see and do, You have to take a walk around the Marina at Palma to see how the other half live.
Summary.
Remember this is a family hotel so If you do not want to be bothered with children running around do not go, But if that doe's not bother you this hotel is highly recommended, Also bear in mind this hotel must have at least 7000 guest over the season and you are reading one of only about thirty reviews on this hotel, so were are the other 6970 opinions, That's just this year.

Well there are alot of things i could say but i would be here all day so i will say just afew of my points. well the food was rubish and the same every day or two days.Children who wanted ice creams and other things from the pool bar had to pay for them every other inclusive hotel got them free apart from ours,also we was very dissapointed when we went out for the day and they do not alow people packed lunches so we had to pay alot for food where as alot of hotels do packed lunches.
Wr are a family of four and our room was very very cramped and our beds we very very unconftable we had 1 camper bed and 1 sofa bed and 2 single beds wich all was very unconftable.We also found the staff very very misserable nd one certain bar maids english was not very good and i had to repeat myself a number of times before she understood me.Out hotel has 7 floors and over 1000 guests but only 2 lifts and out of 11 days 1 lift was out of action for atleast 7 days therefore we found taking the stairs to the fifth floor most of the time.
Also i had a friend f mine take her children to Palma Nova the same age as my two children and she said the entertainment was great but we only had entertainment for the ages of 3-10 in our hitel wich was very dissapointing I could go on but dont want to so we will most definatly not be goin back to that hotel nor our family and friends but we may go back to palma nova.

traveled with my travel fast cheking in plenty leg room on plane.hotel room nice we was at the front of hotel good view over mountains.food very good plenty of choice cavery every night but somtimes not the right veg to go with it.drinks very good never had a bad pint all drink are served in pint glasses including shorts.
cant fault the hotel but if you have no kids with you theres nowhere to go to get away from them runing round. some kids around 11-14 were drunk vandalising hotel property parents never watched what thay where up to. theres a bar called manatten for adults but it was never open. never got a sunbed round pool only 180 for 600 people got up one morning at 7-30 all sunbeds taken so we went to beach every day. very noisy round pool
we will not be going back.

Bad start 4hr delay finally arrived at hotel greeted by unfriendly staff giving keys to our room which was 332 it was a room for 2 but had 4 single beds squashed in there air con hardly worked very disapointing as pool view and air con were reqested over a year ago we had neither over looking spanish living flats hotel was over filled everyone i spoke to said the same
pool area to small not enough sun loungers you couldnt even sit around the pool unless you got up at 6 to get a sunbed or seat lucky beach around corner very nice spent most of time there which is defeating the object when you are inculisive main meals ok snacks same every day chips burger ham cheese no crisps or lollys for kids only drinks poor show good points beach beautiful 2 mins away plenty of shops and food places weather stunning 10 walk to magalaf western water park very good worth a visit to the pirate show bit expensive but very enjoyable

Lovely clean hotel,good food and very family orientated!Only a 2 minute walk to the beach and to the golf fantansia-well worth a visit!
Entertainment was not wonderful but not a problem as went into magaluf in the evenings.
Highlight of the week was a visit to the pirates show-fantastic evening for both adults and children!
Excellent mytravel flights on time and bigger than average seats for the larger traveller!
Only problem this hotel has is the lifts-not enough of them and they keep breaking down.That is our only complaint -we would visit this hotel again and loved the resort of Palma Nova.

Firstly it was a really nice place the resort itself it amazing the beach is beauitiful and there are plenty of water sports for you to do while you are down there.
the hotel wasnt the grestest place i have stayed but it was clean and thats the most important thing the maids cleaned my room everyday making the beds and giving fresh towls.
the food was cr*p i hate to say it but that was the only thing that let the place down...its chips chips and yes more chips!there was the odd time that they did have nice food, but i ate out quite a few times if u like chinese i recommend the one thats on the strip of the town on the front of the beach side its the frist place you come to also natilies its gorgegous you get a proper english breakfast there for less than 6 euros.
the enterainment was ok its ok for younger children but i have to say that the 3 people that run it do it ALL they work very hard though the day and night and they are really friendly people.
overall its a nice place to go in the resort as palma nova is amazing and magaluf is a 10 min walk with loads of bars everywhere for the older people that want to go out.
dont let me put you off we did have a great time justthe food that wasnt the best!

We have just come back from the Hotel Palma Nova having spent a truly brilliant week there.
To be honest we werent too impressed with the food for the first few days, but it did get better as the week went on, and by the time we were half way in we had absolutely no complaints. The rooms were basic, but clean ( the hotel is due for refurbishment next year and that includes air con in all rooms)
There were 2 bars open when we were there, the poolside bar is open from 10am til midnight, and the inside bar is open from 6pm to midnight. The entertainment staff Per, Will and Emilie are excellent and work really hard and very long hours. Entertainment is provided between 11am and 4pm, then from 8.30pm to midnight. Daytime actiivities for adults were things like Archery, Rifle and Pistol shooting, Javelots, Crazy Golf, Darts, Pool, Water Polo etc. for kids they had skittles, shuffle board, pool, pony rides, T-shirt painting, Water Polo and all sorts of other things to keep them amused.
In the evenings there was a kids mini disco from 8:30 til 9pm, then they had a house of bingo (good cash prizes) tickets costing 1.5 euros each or 9 euros for 6 tickets, a line was paying about, 40 euro's and a house about 200 euros. At 10pm the main entertainment came on and varied for local acts (tribute artists, parrot show, comedians etc)and some nights it was a quiz or a competition. If you get a chance to see Per, Will and Emilie do the Cabaret night you will not be dissapointed, they were truly excellent. Had it not been for the fact that we have already booked our holiday for next year, we would be going back.
We are now eagerly awaiting the summer 2007 brochures to go onsale and we will be going back, but probably for a fortnight next time instead of 1 week. We were so sorry to have to go home after a week here, and we made some good friends while we were there. There were comments about the female barmaid Pacqui never smiling, if you try hard enough you can get her to smile, but its not easy!! If you can get on the top floor (7) between 708 and 715 you will also get a brilliant view.
These rooms overlook the pool and you can also see right out to sea as well. If you are a smoker then please be aware that the inside of the hotle (excpet your room and balcony, inluding the bar area where they do the evening entertainment, is non smoking, and you will have to go outside. Being a smoker myself, it didnt really bother me, it was nice to go back to my room at the end of the night without my eyes stinging.

We booked through direct holidays.on arrival around lunch time we had to wait for our room as it was not ready, we had a drink round the pool bar, which was very good and staff very friendly,room keys where issued around an hour later,the rooms are average but clean.the food is very good,this was a family holiday we took our 2 daughers one of 8yrs and one of 18 months,the first few days where excellent,there is plenty of shops,bars,and a fantastic mini golf course within a few minutes walk.
then the gangs of singles started to arrive. We are a young family and fairly open minded,it became a holiday nightmare from this point,as you can imagine free beer all day then major noise at midnight when they all go out clubbin then major noise in the morning around 6am when they came back.one morning the baby pool was full of sand and fire extinguisers,stolen from the hotel and place there as a joke,several mornings every sunbed and chair where thrown in the pool. Lots of swearing and shouting from the singles.the direct holidays reps where fantastic and did there very best to sort it..,
overall the hotel and staff are very good and can i just say the kids entertainers are the best,,, after reading other reviews on this hotel i think we just fell for a bad couple of weeks.......

Over all we had a brilliant holiday and will definatly be returning to this hotel.The rooms were basic, but always clean. The food was superb and always delicious. There was no fault with the entertainment at night it was always interesting and hilarious. The beach was only a two minute walk from the hotel. On the next beach their was various water activities available, we went on the banana boat which only costs 6 euros per person. Night life was good down town especially the pub Banana Joes.Hotel staff are very friendly and polite.Bars in hotel were open for allinclusive from 10am till 12pm then on till 1am if you wanted to purchase more. There were two pools which were both good decent sizes which were open untill 7pm.

Just came back from the Hotel Palma Nova Aug 2005, probably like a lot of people read the reviews and was a little bit worried. How wrong they were,
O.K. the room was basic but we have been abroad a few times and knew what to expect, after all your only there to sleep and wash. The Hotel itself was excellent, the staff were friendly and polite, the location was excellent, 2 mins from the beach and palma nova itself. The food was fabulous with a wide variety of British and Local cuisine to choose from at every mealtime. The entertainment laid on by the hotel entertainers was brilliant, especially if you wanted to join in daytime and evening with outside artists coming in, especially if you have children, and with palma nova with it's wide variety of bars and shops just around the corner your choice is unbelievable.
All in all we had a brilliant 2 weeks and would recomend this hotel to anyone and we shall be returning here in the future.

Just returned from our holiday at the Hotel Palma Nova all inclusive . this was a return visit to the hotel for us having been there 3 years previous and not much has changed.
hotel as usual was good and eventaully got a family room. we had been told by the tour operator that we had a family room when we got there they had put 4 beds in a twin room...no space.. complained in the morning too knackered at night as we had a 4 hour delay so it was 4 am before we got to the hotel! brillany english bloke on reception very helpfull arranged for us to swap to a familty room did cost us 40 euro but what the hell space to move and 2 bathrooms!
food was ok. nothing fantastic but very edible all you needed to drink . entertainment was ok. pool was brillant not overcrowded plenty of sunbeds.
overall a very good holiday- weve been home less than 24 hours and weve booked for 2 weeks next year along with friends.

The common parts of the hotel such as lobby, restraunt and pool are very well maintained and clean.
The room is clean but very, very basic, no AC, no TV, just beds, drawers and wardrobe.
You can hire fans and TV's etc from the hotel but if you are going for 2 weeks it is cheaper to pay 25euros to buy a fan instead of 18 per week to hire.
The location is good if you want to be close to the beach. Only a 5 minute walk to beachfront bars and restraunts.
Mini golf just outside the hotel is good for a laugh.
Slight bit of road noise if you are in the front of the hotel but nothing a fews beers on a night can't solve.
If you have been all inclusive before, the food is what you would expect.
Buffet style with various options not Jamie Oliver but completley adequete to keep you going.
The main disadvantage is that there is no poolside burger bar so you have to dry off to go to the main restraunt to grab a bite to eat.
Most of the staff are about as happy as a person on death row, with a few exceptions. Some of the waiters did make an effort with the children.
The 3 entertainers were excellent and worked flat out during our one week stay providing entertainment for kids and adults by the pool during the day and minidisco and shows on a night.
Overall, a good holiday with no cockroaches plenty of sun and plenty of beer.
Don't bother taking your lilo they are not allowed in the pool.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
On arrival the check in staff were very efficient despite the large number of people who were checking at 2am. They were very friendly.
The reps Lindsey and Matt were excellent, they were very freindly and helpfull and knew everything that we needed to know, from about shows and excursions to knowing about medical centres and pharmacies in the resort.
The food in the hotel was outstanding with a wide range of choice on the buffet. Yes there was chip but if the are kids in the hotelwhat do you expect. However as well as the chips there was a selection of local dishes.
The entertaniment staff were excellent putting on a wide range of activities and evening entertainment for all ages. They were very enthusiastic getting all involved.
The hotel was kept very clean the rooms being cleaned and tidied every day. All areas of the hotel were at a high standard of cleanliness.
The hotel is in the centre of the resort with only a short walk to the beach and all other entertainment.
The only problem with this hotel is that we couldn't spend longer there but will be returning next year. It is well worth the money.
The only grudge about the holiday is that there was a long walk between getting off the plane and collecting your cases, but you can't have everything.

Just returned from Palma Nova Hotel. Well don't fear after reading all those negative remarks it was a brilliant destination and the hotel was clean and nice.
As for the rooms they are cramped if you have a family of four, so be warned! There are 7 family rooms in the entire hotel. These are not advertised. I read about these on this site we stayed in 615 this has a sea view and you can see Ibiza and most water sports. Anything below sixth floor does not get the sea view. Family rooms are 115 to 715. When I booked in Robert who is English was on reception I asked him for a family room he said they were all booked up, I said that was a pity and it didn't matter (reverse psychology) he then looked up the book and said there was one available the next morning. He assumed that we had been before, as he said, "no need for me to show you around"!
Rooms are not air-conditioned. It costs 30 euros per week to rent. Better to buy one from the Sony shop up from the front of the hotel. You will get one for the same price and save money if you are staying for 2 weeks. You can then sale it off for 15 euros to next grateful holidaymaker.
Cleaners very good fresh towels ever day! As for the food we can't complain there was a wide variety each day, there has to be chips because of kids. Red and white wine and water available with lunch and dinner and at snack times. No problem with ice it is all packaged! Don't worry about missing breakfast because there is a church next to the hotel that sounds its bell at 8.50!!
There is a baby pool and main pool there was enough sun beds when we were there for the first two weeks of July, you sometimes people had to search for a place to put it. There is a roof terrace that not many know about-which overlooks the pool. We always had a two sun beds and umbrella after breakfast. The poolside bar is handy serving no more than 3 drinks per person, in each order. This is the rule throughout hotel. The majority of the staff is nice. Pecqui (Female) does not smile, but don't take offence.
Entertainment is run by Per, he is from Sweden very pleasant and good with kids as is Wil and Emilie. Activities for kids and adults run throughout the day from 11 to 4 there are set time for these activities which range from shooting archery mini golf and water polo. Fantasia golf is across from the hotel. You can play 56 holes great fun. Buy tickets at hotel reception and you will save money. The beach is not far in walking distance and is beautiful. White sands no stones! Pedalos are available there as are sun beds but be warned the guy charges you for the umbrella regardless if you use it or not! Cost 5 euros total. There is a number of Karaoke bars up the beach front the stadium has happy hour from 12 midnight buy one get one free! Magaluf is very very busy! You can walk there in 20 mins beware every step there is a tout but great for the nightlife. There is a sling shot there with video included if you are not frightened of heights. Taxi to Magaluf 5/6 euros (July 05).
Palma market is not worth the trip you can buy the same stuff at the shops at the beach front for the same price. Bus to Palma is 2.50 each adult or kid and 15/20 euros taxi. Palma Cathedral is a nice sight seeing place and sight seeing bus tours are available.
Be careful at bus stops in Palma professional pick pockets who get on bus with you and then change their mind as they leave with your wallet/purse. Also in Palma the three shell game played with three potatoes (Find the pea) Theses people have 3/4 people working with them pretending to bet. (Watch them for a while and you will see) Don't go to Son Amar not worth money 200 euros for family of 4 suppose to be akin to London Show!! Go to Pirates same money and well well worth it!!! Don't go for expensive seats! Small enough place everyone is close. Aqua land is not as good as Western Water Park. At Western the slides are great my kids 13 and 14 loved it I thought they were brilliant, dare you to go down yellow slide!! There is also a water show! This one show within the park is worth the price of emission. The highest dive I have ever seen into three metres of water! I am still stunned! Taxi to Western 6/7 euros same to Aqua land. Paracending also available and banana boat at 6 euro per person.
Enjoy your holiday. Try and get family room or at least pool facing room not road!

when we arrived at the hotel and booked in we were given a suite as the manager thought that their normal rooms would be to small for us. Food was good well presented and plentiful. We found all the staff friendly and polite. the pool was large and there were plenty of sunbeds to go round Entertainment left a lot to be desired but they tried there best Pirates show was great and I would recommend it to anyone. Only downside was that there was to many parties of young singles in what I would class as a family hotel
All in all we thoughrouly enjoyed our holiday .

very basic room, no mod cons! 1 electrical socket in a family room. Cleaning left a lot to be desired, the floor was like the Sahara Desert! However beds made every day and clean towels. Security of room non existant as far as balcony door is concerned. Hotel corridors very noisy well after midnight.
Food repetetive, but if you like chips you're ok! Good points - Pirate show fantastic, excellent beaches, Natalies for good English grub and an excellent coffee/bar called Tokay. A bit further away is a very good Indian Restaurant called Los Curries. Entertainment was fair, but impossible to get a seat. The staff in my opinion were not particularly friendly ( quite the opposite, most of them quite grumpy!)
The resort itself fantastic, have been to Majorca 4 times, but would not return to this hotel.

We were quite nervous after eading other reviews but thought we´d give it a shot and oy are we glad we did!!
On arrival the receptionist, Rob (even better that he is English) was great told us about the hotel and what there was on offer.
The rooms are basic but hey you only sleep in them and the food was good. Got better as the week went on.
Entertainment was varied and something for all ages the kids were looked after.
We went to the reps meeting which was good and had a Pirate come in to promote the pirates show which we went to and all i can say is excellent!!!! Well worth the cash!!
The reps, Lynsey and Matt were always there which is more than I can say about other companies and were both very friendly.
Overall the hotel is great and has great facilities and friendly staff and we will certainly be back.

arrived at the hotel with other member,s of the family there was 8 adults and 3 children, when we first arrived we where surprised how nice it was,
the bedrooms were basic but you only sleep and shower in them, pool area was great plenty of beds resturant was clean but did get fed up of the same food all the time so had to eat out some night,s not enough choice of ice creams for the children and some times they did not have the ice cream out for the children you then had to go and buy them from the pool bar. they would only open the one bar at all times.
staff were very grumpy but the entertainers miguel natlie and per were wonderfull there wasn,t enough for the children to do day and night the entertainers did the best that they could, has for booking another holiday at this hotel would be very unlikley unless they changed the staff and food at this hotel.

We have just came back from the Hotel Palma Nova and we had and excellent time.
The Hotel is brill and is way higher than the rating given. At first we were worried about the reviews made but we disagreed and we fought the Hotel was very good,safe and close to everything. The Food was very good value however the food sometimes was the same to other nights. The staff were very friendly and helpfull.
The Resort of Palma Nova was very lively and lots of shops and bars. We very much recomend the Stadium Bar which was very lively and great entertainment.
So we hope we have been helpfull.

We have just returned from Majorca having spent 7 days at the Hotel Palmanova (13th to 20th May). This is a lovely Hotel so don't worry if you have booked - Go and enjoy yourself..
The staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are kept clean, beds are changed every other day, clean towels daily, food excellent always a varied choice - no need to go hungry. Drinks available 10am to midnight. Pool and gardens kept clean and tidy.
We will definately be going back again.

After hearing others reviews of this hotel we were pleasantly surprised. We were allocated a family room on arrival by Robert on reception who was english speaking (we had to pay 40 euros but it only worked out about an extra £15 a week and was well worth it, if you get offered this you'd be daft not to take it), the room was adequately sized for a family of four with three balconys and was carpeted with a reception area and two sink basins with a excellent sea view where you could see for miles. Beds were changed every day and cleaned.We had no security issues even though we didnt hire a safety deposit box. Unlike other holidays we spent most of our two weeks in the hotel, the kids and adults were entertained and there were plenty of sunbeds for those that didnt want to participate.
Everyone in the hotel was really friendly including staff. Entertainment was run by Per, Will was the adult entertainer with Emily being the childrens entertainer, both were extremely friendly and fun considering the hours they put in!!! Infact couldnt fault the entertainment at all and there was tearful farewells from our children when we had to leave, pool area was excellent with the area being clean and well kept and at a adequate size so you could relax whilst keeping an eye on the kids, San miquel and proper Coca Cola and Fanta was available from the bar. The food was varied and although got abit repetitive towards the end of our saty, what do you expect from a 3* hotel, anyone with a problem should book in a 4 or 5 *!!! Meals included a cavery everynight, CHIPS of course ( for the kids ) and some excellent lamb chops and steak that was throughly enjoyed.
Anyone planning to go to this hotel should throughly enjoy thereselves like we did, anyone who doesn't should should dig abit deeper in there pocket and book a 4* to meet there expectations, we were planning to go to Florida next year but have changed plans now to return to this hotel.

Palma Nova, Magaluff are great resorts especially when ya looking for a young n livley holiday, and BCM is amazing.
The same cant be said for hotel palma nova, it all depends what floor your on but the carpets get worse the higher you get up lol especially on the stairs and take notice because you wont be using the lift as it takes 10minutes for it to arrive at a floor, and if someones in it your walking anyway.
We had paid for halfboard and ate out every night after trying the luke warm chicken the first night, didnt wanna waste the hol been ill.
It didnt ruin the holiday cause we went for a good time but its well below standard for a supposid 3* hotel. Especially for majorca as ive stayed some nice places before
Hotel was quite bad but just remember you only sleep in it.
We was on the 6th floor and had to sleep with the balcony door open all the time because you couldnt breathe the rooms are well stuffy.
The my travel rep was useless (the guy we never met the women)
The flight with Futura on the way out was late and really bad.
Monarch back in was excellent.
Remember magaluf is loud and has alot of the 18-30 crew, or its the brits abroad thing which can sometimes be really bad - ie sunbeds union towels etc

This was an excellent holiday. First time we had tried all inclusive. Great for the kids, best entertainers for kids we have seen. Pool area was great, activities going on all day for the kids. Food brilliant. Would recommend and would definitely go back. Great for everyone.

We read other peoples reviews on Hotel Palma Nova and there were mixed.On arrival the hotel looked good and clean, our room was clean and tidy too it was basic but had everything we needed apart from air conditioning which in the summer would be really needed.
There is only two lifts which is very annoying as there is 7 floors and the lifts only fitted 6 people so there is a lot of waiting especially around meal times.
The food had its good days and bad days despite the reviews of other people who must be fussy eaters because there is a good variety,but our adivce is get there early for meal times as the food is left stood and also be prepared to eat out if you dont like whats on offer.
The pool is busy and a decent size but people did cut their feet on the pool bottom as tiles were coming up,we did see the tiles however being stuck back down later on in our holiday.
If you go half board like us the drinks from the bar is very expensive from the hotel.
We over heard other guests reporting stolen possesions from their rooms and there was no forced entry which suggest that it was a inside job,our advice is NEVER hand your key in at reception as we did not get asked for ID when we went to collect our key and hide important belongings that you want to leave in your room.
Places to go in palma nova is MIROS for drinks,good food and a very friendly atmosphere the lady who owns is Maria is a star! and will bend over backwards to get everything you want.For a good meal out and brilliant fast service you have to visit FLORIDA Resturant in palma nova or Florida 2 in magaluf.
For a fun night of music and drink visit Stadium Kareoke bar in palma nova which serve good cocktails,really funny bar staff and also have some very good live acts.
Never pay for the excursions from your holiday rep as they are loads cheaper at a little excursion shop on the high street,but dont bother going on the grand island tour which was everything but grand,its not a island tour but a brief trip through part of the centre of the island which stops at a leather shop which seems to be tied in as a scam and not worth the money you pay to go,so save it for drinks and good nights out.
Overall the holiday was good and we really enjoyed it,the hotel was not as bad as people make out,if you plan on spending your holiday inside the hotel and the grounds it will get boring and you will find things to moan about,but if you like to spend time exploring then this hotel is for you,pool,bar and bed its all you need.

Had a great time the beaches are great and the hotel is fine just to crash at. The golf course across the street provided hours of fun. Food at the hotel was tasty but with the same thing almost every day it did wear a little thin. Staff were pleasant and very good at their jobs. The beach was stunning and the view from the balcony was brilliant. Did not take in hotel entertainment as spent most nights in Magaluf just down the road where a taxi was just three euros.
All in all it was a good holiday and I would go back again but do not forget a fan as it was extremely hot and there was no air conditioning

We have just returned from the Palmanova Hotel and really wished we had not have gone there!
The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear and is in desperate need of refurbishment. We arrived at 11.30am and after checking in we were told our room would not be ready until about 2pm! The last thing we wanted to do was hang around waiting for the room, we had had a bad flight so really just wanted to rest for a while.
When we got to our room first thing we noticed was how hot and stuffy it was. This being due to no air con.As has been stated elsewhere you could hire a fan but none were available. Our room was on the 6th floor but not for long!! I was very surprised at the number of loud obnoxious kids who seemed to be running wild around the hotel. Do these kids not have to be in school durung term time? There were some extremely badly behaved kids who were running back and forward along the corridor at about 11pm shouting and screaming as these kids do!! A polite request to their parents asking them to be a little more quiet was met with a torrent of abuse from their parents! After that we asked to be moved to a different room which was on the 5th floor which was better.
I turn now to the subject of sunbeds at this hotel. Every morning we witnessed the spectacle of the geriatric gallop to get the sunbeds. The beds are in very poor condition with not that many working beds available. They are also kept chained up until about 8.45am when its a free for all to get a good sunbed. People have made jokes about Germans and sunbeds etc but I witnessed arguments most mornings when people found that the OAPs wanted the good beds and were prepared to stand over the sunbeds from about 8am every morning. This situation could easily be avoided by not chaining the beds up in the first place. Another moan I have was the number of people who got the beds then used them for about an hour for the whole day.
Sticking on the subject of OAPs it was very difficult to use the lifts in the hotel due to the large number of elderly people staying at the hotel and who were unable to walk up and down the stairs in the hotel. We used the stairs most times which was good for the circulation!
Onto the restaurant now... sorry to disagree with people on here but the standard and choice of food was way below what a hotel of this standard should be offering. There was a limited choice of food ( if you like chips you will love it here!!) and it was often warm never hot. However there is a microwave in the restaurant to heat the food up to what it should have been in the first place!.
The bars were on the whole efficient but the staff really do need to smile a bit more. The staff are not paid peanuts as some people think it is probably down to having to put up with the rude behaviour of some of the guests!.
If you want to go on excursions forget the reps at the hotel there is a fantastic agency called World Travel Services on the main street where you can get the same excursion for less money.
Out and about in the town we can thoroughly recommend the Stadium Showbar and karaoke. Before you cringe at the word karaoke do not let preconceptions put you off going to this bar. I hate karaoke and had avoided going anywhere near the place, however under threat of divorce I went and had a brilliant time. There was an ABBA tribute band playing the night we went and thet were absolutely fantastic. We had a really great night out!
So to sum up.... it was not a good holiday but we were lucky to get it on a last minute deal which cost £400 for both of us.
We may return to Majorca but definately not to Palmanove hotel.

I've just got back from Hotel Palmanova and after reading all this uncovered information i wasn't looking forward to it at all.
We arrived early hours of the morning, we got our keys from reception. First impression of our room was "its clean" two single beds but we pushed them together LOL. We were on the 4th floor with two balcony's one large one looking on to the swimming pool and a side balcony which was small but nice.
The food at the restaurant was fantasic lots to choose from, the breakfast was a cooked one every day or you could have toast or cereal. The meals were lovely with different foods every day. There was so much to choose from. The staff in the restaurant worked very hard. The bar staff were ok, I have even got a photo of them smiling! so if you talk to them they will talk to you. (they are probably getting paid peanuts so they might not be very happy in their job) Entertainment was good too, we had the four tops one night which was brilliant, Grease another night all i can say is "go there "for yourself and see what you think.
We had a brilliant time there. They are closing this hotel at the end of the year for refurbishment! So maybe they might be put air conditioning in for the very hot months.
