My/Our Holiday Opinion:
Hi, we are just back from a Family Holiday in Palma Nova. We stayed in the Acorn Nova Apartments( Mainly Irish Residents) which we booked with Budget Travel in Ireland. The apartments are basic but very well kept and there is cleaning most days. The balcony was very small which meant the outdoor furniture provided was very close to the low Balcony wall. With a three year old, we kept the door leading to it locked all the time as it is too easy for a child to access the height of the wall...
The Air conditioning system was very efffective in the Apartments which is a nice after a day in the heat. The apartments seem to cater quite well for anyone with a handicap and disability but some of the wheelchair ramps are quite steep.
Reception staff in the apartments are very good.
There is also a very efficient laundry service available through reception.
There was good entertainment in the apartments and the kids club staff were great.
The pool area is too small to cope with the amount of visitors considering the size of the apartment block. There are signs at the pool area to note no reserving sun loungers and no floats allowed in the pool area which totally seems to be ignored. Therefore if you do not reserve your sunbed early in the morning with a towel or pair of shoes, you will not get one. I mentioned this to the Rep early on in the Holiday but nothing changed. The pool area is quite rough despite being supervised by a Life Guard and our daughter aged 7 was dived on by an older child with a float. I know supervision is down to Parents too but some dont bother. We used the beach which we found a much safer and more relaxing area for all to enjoy. It is a pity though that the Aptartments management can not keep the pool areas safer and stop the reserving of sunbeds.
We tried a lot of Restaurants. There is a Restaurant called the Florida nearby the apartments which we found quite good and a nice Indian restaurant in Maguluf near the beach end of the town..not too sure of the name though.
Son Matias promenade is a nice walk and has great views. There are plenty of shops but all sell much of the same stuff and nothing spectacular.
Maguluf is beside Palma Nova and is more aimed towards the Clubbers. It's quiet during the day though but it stinks quite a bit in areas, footpaths this end of the town need to be cleaned and there is no shortage of vomit on the ground so watch your step..
There are two water parks Western and Aqualand. We went to Western as they have a few good live shows and there seemed to be more for the younger kids to do. Its a good day out.Golf Fantasia is a good spot too but more suitable for kids over the 5 age bracket.
Marineland is worth a visit for the great Dolphin and Sea Lion show. However all the aquariums there are bombarded with visitors after the shows so unlike us, it would be a good idea to get the exact time of the Dolphin shows and try visit the aquariums etc before it.
Michael.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
Just got back yesterday from the Agua Beach Hotel, We were really pleased with it. After reading the reviews on here it makes me think that people expect 5* hotels at 3* prices.
We found the hotel was extremely clean and tidy, the furnishings were not out-dated, i thought it was decorated tastfully and with guests comfort in mind.
The hotel rooms are spacious for 2 with air conditioning and/or central heating with large balconies. We overlooked the mini-golf though and they had the hedge trimmers/lawn mowers out at 9am every morning so if your a light sleeper i would request a room at the front of the hotel (opposite beach)
If you have children, i would suggest you keep the balcony door locked as they are not that safe for kids.
Maids cleans every day and will change towels if left on floor, i do agree they are too early (between 8am - 10am) so if you do not want to be disturbed then put the sign on the door.
Breakfast is between 8-10 but most people will leave it to the last minute so if you go down after 9.30 you may miss out as people are queueing and the curtain goes down at 10am sharp! Good selection for breakfast, the usual fried things, continental breakfast, fruit, cereals and toast served with tea/coffee/juice/hot chocolate.
Dinner is between 6.30 til 9pm - the food is okay but there isn't a massive selection and no different childrens options. We only ate tea twice and went out the rest of the time because i enjoy meals out abroad and for me that is part of my holiday experience. We were also warned that someone got there handbag stolen whilst we were there from the restuarant so please do not leave your bags unattended!!!!!!!
We had a lovely meal at the Bahia Park and the Chinese upstairs near McDonalds, we got free cute little rings too which was nice.
The hotel is in a excellent location, the beach is only a few steps away, the pool is very small and the sunloungers are pushed too close together so its a bit intrusive. We prefered the beach and paid $9 for two comfortable loungers and brolly. We went on the hovercrafts on the beach and paid $17 for 30 mins, it was the worst experience of my life - i couldnt steer the thing and will be sticking to pedaloes in future!!
Palma Nova is lovely, Magaluf is like a zoo at peak season at night, stay clear of the main strip if you have kids, there are plenty of sights you wouldnt want them to see! If you enjoying going out, it has some wicked bars and clubs to suit all tastes, we went to BCM which i love, went to Popcorn party which was a bit lame...try the foam party instead, it looks ace!

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
Just spent a week in the Agua Beach Hotel Palma Nova. Although a bit disappointed with the resort, extremely commercialised, the hotel was in the perfect position for the beach. The hotel is very clean throughout and the room spotless although the decor is dated and tired. Maid came every morning although a bit early for us at about 8.30. All the hotel staff were polite and helpful.
Only downside was the pool which is very small and the seating area around it almost non existent but with the beach just 1 minute away not a problem.
Had a fabulous meal in the restaurant directly opposite the hotel called Ciro's. Had a really bad meal and service in the Palma Nova Hotel which is just down the road, it looks really good but is definately one to avoid.

This was our second holiday in Palma Nova. We previously stayed all inclusive but we decided on half board this time round. I read some reviews of this hotel and was a bit worried about the food but we found it ok. Not a huge selection but if you want five-star luxury you should stay in Palma. The staff were brilliant and especially helpful when on arrival we found our room wasn't yet ready due to problems with the previous guests. We had an excellent view, right over the beach but the entertainments not great unless you're a more mature customer. Didn't mind too much as we preferred the local bars anyway, especially Cheeks and Banana Joes. Would recommend Pirates,Golf Fantasia and Marineland for things to do but don't bother with House of Katmandu, it's a complete waste of money. Would also recommend the Delfin Playa de Luxor for eating out.

This hotel is in desperate need of updating, its decor is in the 1920"s style and for all i know it may be original.
The rooms are a good size but again need updating especially the bathrooms. The food was poor, and often cold or under-cooked or over-cooked.The reception area and adjoining rooms stink of cigarettes.
I would never reccomend this hotel to anyone.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
We booked this holiday last minute. After reading the reviews I felt a little anxious as to what we were letting ourselves in for.
When we arrived at the hotel, superb location (across the road from the beach). Reception staff friendly and booking in was straight forward. We were fortunate enough to have a "Superior" room (slightly larger than normal hotel room). This was situated in a separate part of the hotel grounds, we had to take the glass elevator situated by the pool to the top then across the sun terrace & gardens (very pleasant) then take another lift down to our room. We did however, find another entrance/exit down one flight of stairs out into the main street.
Our room was basic but very clean (as with most accommodation abroad). We were able to leave the sofa bed out and still have plenty of room to move with a spacious balcony. We had the standard bathroom and also a small kitchenette (with fridge) which came in very handy. The only problem we had with the fridge was that every time we took the card out (with key) which operated the electric & air conditioning the fridge switched off. We mentioned this on reception the same day and it was rectified the same day by them giving us an extra card. Slight concerns that we were above the shops and facing a Karaoke Bar but once the balcony door was shut there was no noise at all and also the air conditioning didn't work until the door was shut.
Reading the reviews about food, people tend to say the same things about there being chips every night, now come on, we're british and everyone thinks that the British like Chips so they cater well for us, however, I don't recall chips every night. There were chips and another potato alternative or no chips at all while we were staying there. No there isn't the choice of food you would get if you were staying in a 5* Hotel with 9 floors, but this was a smallish hotel and therefore catered for that amount of people. It is not really what I would class as a family hotel with young children either, so again the food may not appeal. We didn't have any problem with the food, there was enough choice for us. Breakfast, there was everything you could ask for.
Again, not being a hotel for families with young children, the pool wasn't child friendly, as the shallow end was quite deep for myself and my 4 year old (who can't swim) wasn't very confident about going in. I didn't find it very cold either, perhaps because we had spent the day on the beach and finished off in the pool. Unfortunately we had rain one day and the pool has a retractable roof which was pulled over on this day and my husband and daughter went down to the pool until the rain stopped (one advantage).
Entertainment - If you like seeing the same man singing every night, great, if you want Childrens disco's - no. Entertainment was directed more to couples and slightly older guests (without sounding ageist). There was however, Karaoke and Bingo on two nights which my daughter enjoyed.
To sum it up, Palma Nova is a lovely place, very clean and plenty to do and the water parks are in easy reach via a free bus. This hotel is very clean, I found the staff very friendly and the dining room staff made a fuss of the children. I would recommend it, I don't know that I would stay there again while the children are young as they need a bit more entertainment.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
Stayed at this hotel in june & totaly enjoyed. Weather was gorgeous.
The beach is literaly across the road and is stunning. The pool is also really nice, it was empty most of the time so i had it 2 myself! I found all the food at the hotel really nice & it was always hot. There is a lovely seating area outside where you can enjoy a few cocktails b4 strolling 2 the bars. Upstairs from the hotel there is a lovely italian restaurant (part of the hotel) i had a cracking meal there & dessert was yum, it was no extra cost as it was instead of an evening meal in the hotel restaurant, you can book which nights you want at reception. Magaluf is just a 10 mins stroll away & there are some lovely shops along the way. A nice place 2 eat also is Natalie's which is a few doors away from the hotel.
It was my second time in Palma Nova so went 2 c the Pirates show, it is deff well worth it its brilliant, lovely meal & plenty of sangria included! i bought my ticket localy for about 41 euros, taxi there was 5 euros but walked back through magaluf. Spent most nights in the STADIUM BAR which is just across the road from the hotel, had a brill night every night with fantastic artists, ABBA, 4 TOPS, ROBBIE WILLIAMS. The drinks are a bit expensive but its happy hour 7-9 & 12- 2 when its b1get1free. All staff there are lovely 2. The Eastenders bar in Magaluf is nice 2 they also have nice food.
My only fault with hotel is that they did not have late room checkout, you had 2 b out at 10am, i wasnt going until 11pm. But apart from that a thoroughly brill time. Hope this has been of some help to you x

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
We stayed in the Agua beach for a week and thought it was ok and the food was very good with plenty of choice. What lets the hotel down id their tiny lift!!! I could not get my wheelchair into it without having to get out and fold it up and then squeeze into the lift, get to the floor i needed and then get out, unfold chair and get back in. This i had to do several times a day every day and became the whole let down of our holiday. Anyone wheelchair bound would have no chance of getting in it. We had a sea view room which was lovely with a balcony. Air con which wasnt that good and no fride in the room or a kettle. You can hire a fridge for 50 euros which i thought a rip off.
Palma Nova was a lovely resort with plenty of shops etc and evening market stalls. Lovely flat promenade to walk along suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Its quieter than magaluff although it does have 2 nightclubs but they do not get rowdy. Magaluff is a 20 min walk away and didnt appeal to us.The beach is gorgeous and clean, sea is lovely and clear but its 9 euros to hire 2 sunbeds and a brolly for a day.
The germans put their towels on the sunbeds by 7am each day so you dont have a chance of getting one and their isnt that many to begin with. Not good. The germans will always push in front at meal times as well, what is wrong with these people???!!!
We went to marineland and paid extra to sit with the dolphins at dolphin school where you can get them to do some trics and stroke them and have your pic taken next to a dolphin, well worth the money and the show is excellent.
I would go back to Palma Nova but not this hotel.

Meals.
First of all this is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and we personnally couldnt believe the difference between the two stays the first time we were here the food was of a much better quality. This time however we were appalled at the food. we were in the hotel for 14 nights and at least 10 out of 14 nights we were offered either pork or beef the majority of the time it was recycled one night you would get pork chops the next night it would appear in breadcrumb. The worst case of recycled food was garden peas one night we were offered them as one of the veg the next night they were offered as part of a cold pea salad.also i hope you like chips as this is all you get.
Rooms.
The room sizes at this hotel are altogether quite good with the option of sea views at a supplement which i would recommend as we had one this time and the view was excellent. The only problem we had with our room was that it appeared to have slight damp on one of the walls which was dealt with as soon as they became aware of the problem.
Entertainment.
All i can say is the entertainment in this hotel is a joke there idea of live music is the same bloke 5 times a week singing at his keyboard there is absolutely nothing for children to do whatsoever even though the brochure says different.the pool facility is again below average as the water in the pool is freezing but as i said before there is nothing else for kids to do in the hotel if you do use the pool be aware that if you need the toilet you have to completely dry yourself to go as you are not allowed in the hotel wet, but toilets are not provided outside.
This hotel should be advertised in the brochure as suitable for over 40's as this is mainly the age that stay there.
The good things about this hotel is the majority of the staff, i have to say that the bar/restaurant staff are great, happy to talk to you and make you feel welcome.
The staff at reception except for two are again extremely friendly. And it is just across the road from the beach.
Resort
Palma nova itself is a good place to take kids as there is always something to do and places to eat which is good as the food at the hotel is so poor.
Marineland is about a twenty minute walk or 5 mins in a taxi. then in the other direction are the two water parks which again are easilly reached by foot or taxi.
If you do decide to go to majorca i would definately recommend the pirates show no matter where on the island you stay this show is by far the best show i have ever seen in my life well worth the money.
If you decide to eat out which im sure you will i would recommend two places just up the road from the agua beach is a small place called Natalies the food here is great, and also if you keep walking you will find a place called Kompas the food and staff here are both exceptional and the prices are really good value too

Just returned from this fantastic hotel, we booked a late deal allocation on arrival, we were very pleased with the choice.
The hotel is straight over the road from the beach, and good central position for shops and bars. The staff were great with us no complaints, lovely with our small daughter. The rooms were basic but very clean, maid came everyday. There was a nice pool and a great roof top area with a garden.
You can walk to Magaluf in about 10 mins from this hotel so you get the best of both resorts. We went a few times to the bar called the Stadium just over the road from the hotel, great for a night out, a huge place all air conditioned, with great entertainment every night. We had to cut our holiday short because of a family member at home that was seriously ill, and the hotel staff were great they helped us arrange everything to get home. Told us they would keep our rooms for us incase we could get back.
10/10 would go back tomorrow.

We arrived at the Agua Beach on 24 May. Having seen the hotel the year before (when we stayed up the hill at the Mimosa Park - no intention of returning there by the way!) we knew exactly where we'd be staying - right on the front, a literal stone's throw from the fabulous beach.
We found no real problems with the hotel, although chose to eat out more often than stay in - no major criticism of the restaurant; we're just a bit too fussy for our own good. Another reviewer mentions a broken door - our balcony door handle was broken too: it was replaced the morning after I reported it!!
The hotel seems to cater for older guests with very few children around for our daughter to make friends with. That said, we were happy to avoid the hassle associated with the 18-30 set. Entertainment is provided most nights with the cash bingo/karaoke nights proving particularly popular.
Bar staff were friendly and there were always enough waiters on duty to take care of us all (even on busy nights).
The pool (which has a retractable roof for the occasional bad weather) was remarkably under-used, although we must remember we were there early season.
Palmanova itself is a lovely resort. The beaches are great and the choice of bars/cafes/restaurants along the front is great - here are a few we liked:
A particular favourite of ours is the cafe Loro Verde which is on the beach front towards the Son Matias/Santa Lucia hotels - the staff are very friendly and really make the kids welcome;
The Willow (not far from Golf Fantasia) is a nice home from home with great food and a marvellous pint of cold Guinness (not cheap mind, but gorgeous!!)
We just had to make the trip back up the hill to Palms Bar (a regular haunt last year) - I went there to watch Liverpool play the Champions League final and it was great to be remembered from last year and enjoyed the game with 'old mates' - they do draught Fosters there for e2.50 too if you don't like the local brews;
I also must mention The Hideaway - a small cafe up a shopping arcade near McDonalds. This is run by a lovely English couple who do a marvellous 3 course meal (with lots of choices on each course) for e11.50 including a bottle of wine each!!! - the food and friendly service is well worth a visit, even if you ignore the great value for money.
We're off to Ibiza next time but will definitely return to Palmanova and would not rule out the Agua Beach.

This is the second time we have been to palma nova with first choice, and it will be the last. The hotel is very basic and worth only 1*, our deal with first choice was a 199 pound per person allocation on arrival in palma nova deal. When we arrived in palma airport we were rushed to our hotel in no time. When we arrived everthing seemed fine to me met a non- english speaking recepionist who tried his best to check us in, because our room was not ready. AQbout 35mins later we were checked in.
Our room was small and very musty and had damp mattresses. The room also had a broken tap, broke fridge door. Worst of all the rooms main doors lock was broken!!! We went to reception the next morning and tried to speak to our rep, she told us she would talk to the hotel manager, but never. The food was farely good, the choice was limited, but everthing was fresh.
Palma Nova is the best resort on the island with lots to do, although some places were closed for winter. 8hours before we left we got offered a new room, it was too late but we accepted a free room extensuin in a larger room, that room was better, but not by much. On the hole it was a cheap week in majorca, so it was acceptable for what we paid, but dont anyone pay the prices to book a summer holiday here as its not worth more than we paid. We have booked a very cheap 5* hotel in ibiza for may through Archers direct so that should be better.

Accomodation
Standard room was very basic.
It was very dirty and smelly. The bedding was unchanged for the whole of our stay (1 Week).
Food
The choice was chips, chips and more chips. Very few other choices with minimal fresh veg. I would have eaten out every night but having paid half bored stuck it out. I now wish I hadn't
Staff
Some Senior staff were just downright rude.
The general staff I would rate as ok but not overly polite.
Entertainment
Not to my taste. An organist in the "Sing a-long with Max" style.
Resort
The beach was niced and clean. The staff in the shops were all friendly and polite. Plenty of good places to have lunch and get a drink.
Would not recomend this hotel and would not go back there. I cannot express my feelings of disgust for this hotel strongly enough.

We have holidayed in this hotel for many years and keep coming back. The rooms are clean and the linen is changed often contrary to other reports. We have also holidayed in many other areas of the world but the friendlines of Manuel and his staff is paramount to our staying here. Yes I agree it is not child friendly but hey go to Santa Ponsa or Magaluf. We have been meeting the same couples from all over at the same time every year and we all agree this is the place for us. The food is basic but wholesome - nevere left the table hungry yet. The beach is to die for - clean and no ball players kicking sand in your face.
I have to say that for me - I get value for money and a good holiday. See you in Sept Manuel. Adios amigo. Hasta pronto.

Resort a bit tacky but easy to avoid worst areas. Beaches excellent and very clean.
Hotel bedroom, although in an annexe and not exactly handy for hotel facilities, was spacious, modern and clean with a balcony and sea view. Also well double glazed therefore quiet.
The food and service in the hotel was a disgrace. Food choice poor and cold, chips every night and meat and veg.mostly frozen. One morning the previous night's puddng appeared at breakfast as yoghurt. The worst item had to be fried chopped port for breakfast!! On most evenings we ended the meal with the dirty dished of all three courses still on the table. Some guests resorted to clearing their own tables!!
Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

I found this hotel very pleasant, with friendly, helpful staff. The bedrooms were quite small, but clean, but the bed was extemely uncomfortable,as im not one to complain i slept in my childs bed.
We had an exellent view of the beach which i paid an extra £1 pppn. I would say this hotel was for over 50's or quiet couples,as all the entertainment was for that age group. There is no childrens pool or clubs here.
we found the pool to be very quiet and always half empty, most of it was in the shade. The beach right on the door step was lovely, and cleaned every night.
I thought the food at this hotel was VERY NICE never cold and always lots of choice, especially breakfast and deserts, very good for a three star. The restaurant was very well run and oganised.
The area surrounding agua beach is very quiet with not much to do,so if you like a livelier holiday go to magaluf.
Over all it was a pleasant relaxing break in the sun. HOLIDAY OVERALL- 6/10 HOTEL- 7/10. FOOD-8/10 CHILDRENS FACILITIES-0/10

We have spent a week at this hotel following a week cruising on the Island Escape. There was simply no comparison. e were travelling with another family and this hotel was one of the very few on offer with rooms to accommodate a family of 2 adults and 2 children.
The hotel room itself was clean and spacious and the staff were mostly OK being helpful and polite. The room unfortunately overlooked the main road and a karaoke bar and amusement an arcade! I had read other reviews on this hotel and more recent entries allayed my initial fears, however we thought the food was appalling. Chips were the only choice 5/7 evenings with sloppy mash or roast making a guest appearance on the two other days. There was little by way of real fresh veg. Breakfast was also very poor and extremely greasy.
The pool is a good size but has limited space for sun loungers and is for the most part in shade through the day - we headed for the beach over the road.
The resort is a mini Magaluf with a mulitude of bars and eateries and most are good value. The beach is fairly clean and the sea better in a morning as by the afternoon there was a strange scum and some rubbish washing up on the beach!
Golf Fantasia was great and good value.
We would not choose this resort again as it's just not our taste and we would certainly never choose the Agua Beach Hotel.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
The room we stayed in was nice it was quite big and overlooked the beach but there was no mat in the bath and it was really slippy we asked for one and they refused.
The one lift was brokenn so we had to use the one by the pool which was made out of glass and felt really unsafe it closed on my dad a few times and cut his arm.
And the food was terrible we ate out for the whole of the holiday cuz it was basically the same everyday, yesterdays leftovers and was really greasy and undercooked.
The staff in the resturant were really rude and showed no manners at all.
I really wouldnt reccomend this hotel to anyone unless you manage to get a good deal and can afford to eat out for all of your holiday and tae your own bathmat!

Me and Claire were only pointed to this website a few weeks before we left and some of the reports about Agua beach were quite unsettling.
However when we arrived at the Hotel after an hour wait due to the late arrival of holiday reps, we found the desk staff to be very helpful and funny, upon getting to our room we were very pleased at the level of cleanliness and over all appearance of our accomodation. Tea and Coffee facilities were topped up every day and the maids really cleaned the rooms and didnt just tickle the mirror with a duster!
The first night the food was great and only really fell in standard toward the end of the week when things from the previous night would make an appearance on the "cold" food selection. There are plenty of cheap cafes, make sure you choose one with people already eating because you may find like we did that 3 euros for a cheeseburger doesnt seem that good when it resembles a cookie in size!
This hotel is aimed more at the older holiday maker, evident in a travelling Age Concern group on our trip. They were mainly ok, but there was the odd one who could be more than a little ignorant when the mood took them.
Golf Fantasia around the corner is so much fun and 54 holes of crazy golf for 8 euros is great value, again though beware of groups of pensioners, as they can take ages. I would definately go back to Agua Beach and would recommend it to anyone. a very good 3 star hotel.

I was really impressed with the Agua Beach Hotel! It was was really nice, the rooms were clean (the maids came in everyday).
Being a very fussy eater I was worried about the food, but I loved it! They had a good choice and I'd often went up for seconds!
We didnt use the pool as we only had to cross the road to the beach, which was aslo really nice! Although the majority age group of the hotel was 40+ it didnt bother us as we just wanted a relaxing holiday, plus magaluf was only a 10 minute walk if we fancied some action. The only thing that let the hotel down was the entertainment, or lack of should I say, other than that I cant fault it. I had a great time and recommend the Hotel to people who want a relaxing holiday. Laura

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
We were a little concerned at previous reports published on this site, prior to departure. Largely speaking, we encountered no such problems. We found the resort to be very good. Clean & tidy, full of good bars, restaurants & shops & most importantly, trouble free. There was a mix of young & old of all nationalities and we never heard a word spoken out of turn. We had the services of First Choice rep, "Bex" throughout and found her to be excellent. Trips & Tours organised by First Choice were excellent and included the "must do" Northern Express, Son Amar? & shopping in Palma.
The hotel is not The Dorchester but in terms of Irish/British 3 star hotels, it must rate amongst the best.It is, again, clean & tidy, has all the amenities one would expect and the staff, particularly the manager, Manuel, are very courteous and attentive.
The food, it has to be said, is not gourmet but it is a little unfair to describe it as "school dinners." It is well cooked & well presented but could be more exciting & varied. However, eating out is cheap and will break the monotony a little. There are many good restaurants although Restaurante Tabu was very disappointing. There is a nice French restaurant nearby.
All in all, a very good holiday and we have booked again for May 2004, same hotel, same room, for which we paid a small surcharge but which had a fantastic view over the adjacent beach & beyond.

After reading the reviews of this hotel
AFTER we had booked our holiday made us slighty worried about what it would be like also being a young couple on our first holiday together.
When we arrived the room was clean to an ok standard however the bathroom not as spotless as it should have been. The rooms were also very dated as we were staying on the old side of the hotel not on the newly built half.Hotel staff mostly friendly and rep was excellent. Pool nice but pool area always busy with never a spare sunlounger, we went to the gorgeous nearby beaches most of the week. Food at hotel horrible it was like school dinners again!!What we got at the hotel was a rip-off for the price we paid.
Palma Nova and nearby Magaluf had excellent nightlife and things to do for any age group, restaurants really good to with so many to choose from, but food cheap drinks not.
I would reccomend Golf Fantasia for a nice evening its best at night and Pizza magic also Pacha pub in Magaluf for wicked cocktails and great atmosphere. Go to magaluf for the best clubbing and bars ever!Especially the foam and popcorn party nights at BCM with free drinks all night!

This year was our second visit to this hotel and we have booked to go back in September 03 taking our 19 year old son and my mother. The hotel is suitable for all ages although the entertainment is mainly catered for more mature users or families.
The service recieved from the maids to the the management was/is excellent, extremely friendy and very helful.
The location of the hotel is perfectly sited across the road from the beach and the sea, boasting wonderful views if you are in a seaview room. (We pay a supplement to ensure we get this service).
The Pool is small but suitable for the size of the hotel and offers plenty of shade for those who need it. If you need anything bigger you have the med across the road!
Access for the disabled is good.
The food is very good offering a choice of four dishes each night and an excellent starter and salad bar. Obviously the food may not suit all.
The accomodation is clean and airy with a daily maid service and daily towel change if required.
Whilst there a new phase to the hotel opened. The manager was very happy to show us round the day before it opened. Absolutely beautiful is my opinion. the rooms are bigger, have a small kitchenette and a fridge. They also have a large balacony. If you require accomodation for more than two then you will have a room with TWO double rooms. (Not a bed settee in the same room).
We WILL be going back in July 2004.

Having read the previous reviews we were a little apprehensive, however all our fears were gone within minutes of arrival. We arrived at the hotel at midnight and were told that they had left us a cold buffet out, even though the restaurant closed at 9pm. The hotel was excellent. Rooms were of a good standard, and all staff were friendly. I must agree the hotel does have more than its fair share of "mature" guests, however there were also a fair few under 40's rhere too. Food was excellent and varied. I also cannot really comment on the hotel entertainment as we didnt really use it, however there was either live music, or Kareoke most nights.
There are a few reports of how excellent the Stadium bar across the road is. Please don't be fooled by them. They advertise entertainment every night (1/2 hour if you're lucky starting at 11:30pm), and happy hour from 7:30 til 9pm. Happy hour is allegedly buy one get one free, however their prices are ridiculous. 2 pints of local beer = 7.5 euro's. If you want a couple of cheap nights out try cheeks, or banana joes about 10 mins walk toward magalluf they charge 1.80 or 1.90 euro's a pint and have disco's and karaoke every night until 3 or 4 am. If you want a quiet drink and a good snack try Palma Nova Gardens (side street opposite McDonalds, beer is 1.30 euro's a pint, food is cheap and excellent

Having read previous reviews on this hotel just before going on holiday, I wondered what we had let ourselves in for (good place to lose weight, etc). But we thought the hotel was good for a 3*. The rooms were large and well furnished, with well equiped bathrooms. The maid service was excellent.
The restauant was also well furnished. The choice of food was excellent, the staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. We did not use the hotel entertainment so I can't comment on that but there seemed to be things going on every evening.
The pool is shut in between buildings - so perhaps not ideal for people who like to spend the day sitting round a pool. But the beach is just across the road and is excellent.
I think Palma Nova is a good, if busy resort and is being continually upgraded. Palma Nova also has good bus links to Palma and other resorts.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
Just got back from a week at the Agua Beach (June 2007).
The Aqua Beach was our Cruise and Stay hotel for the second week of our holiday after cruising the Med.
Cleanliness in the whole hotel leave's a lot to be sorted out, on arrival there was cigarette ash all up the stair carpet and a tooth pick on the edge of one of the stairs, on leaving a week later the toothpick was still there, and the cigarette ash had grown.
The bed sheets were never changed all the time we were there.
On entering the food area we were amazed to see a micro-wave on the wall for clients use to heat up their food!!
Quality of food was very poor and descriptions such as 'turkey',' beef' or 'pork' were not enough to describe the way they had been cooked, what joint it was and what it was swimming in.
The food and service in the hotel was a disgrace. Food choice poor and cold, chips every night. On most evenings we ended the meal with the dirty dishes of all three courses still on the table. Some guests even resorted to clearing their own tables!!
The food was poor, and often cold or under-cooked or over-cooked. Breakfast although we were half board we decided to eat out the last 3 nights rather than punish ourselves anymore, my wife even started feeling sick just on entering the restaurant by the end of the week.
We did dine in tonnios once where the food was of a good standard only trouble it was the same menu every night so once you had been through the menu that was it.
This hotel should be advertised in the brochure as suitable for over 60's as this is mainly the age that stay there. Even though there is only one lift that accommodates two people.
Swimming pool just big enough for two Lillo's, and not very clean either, there was a bottle top in one corner of the pool that was there for the full week, and the pool was covered in dead insects.
Entertainment was Karaoke , Guitar player and some sixties singer, fine, for the first couple of nights, but not every night with no variation of content, There isn't any daytime entertainment for the kiddies.
This hotel is in desperate need of updating.
It amazes us how it is still open for business, wish we had found this web site before we booked.
We would not recommend this hotel and would not go back there. I cannot express my feelings of disgust for this hotel strongly enough.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
We booked this hotel on the advice of the holiday hypermarket manager who pointed out it was one of the hotels used for cruise and stay holidays.
I normally come back from holiday either full of praise for my accomodation or with a list of things which might have been better. On reflection my week at the Aqua Beach left me unsure as to what I really thought about it and how much of the poor parts of the experience were due to the hotel closing for the end of the season as we left.
The public areas in the hotel were clean, generally tidy but uninspiring. The rooms were a good size, well serviced by the maids, they had rooms cleaned as soon as you left for breakfast, and for once the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were also of a good size but had the walls clad with a tacky plastic cladding instead of them being tiled.
The food was variable, sometimes good sometimes poor although some dishes, meatballs, were repeated three times in the week. The bar was ok and the prices comparable with the surrounding bars.
The staff were very good although the same could not be said for the management who were waiting to lock up when the last guests had left and continually paced the building and made those waiting for transport to feel uncomfortable.
One of the major downsides to this hotel is the evening entertainment. My feeling is if you can't do it well don't bother. In the week we were there the karaoke was on three nights and the tribute guitarist for another three. Karaoke we could just about live with but the guitarist, where do I start! The same set each time, even down to the "ad libbed" jokes, basic musical proficiency on only a few of the songs and he murdered "Hotel California" in which he cunningly changed the lyrics to 'welcome to the hotel aqua beach'. Luckily I don't imagine any of the Eagles were on holiday in Palma Nova this year.
The hotel pool is small, scruffy and to be avoided since it only gets sun on 10% of it for a couple of hours a day at this time of year.
The hotel is in an excellent position and the resort and its beaches are generally clean and in October quiet. There are bars around the hotel and it is an easy walk to Magaluf and more lively nightlife.
Overall this was an ok holiday as mentioned earlier the hotel wasn't great but not that bad however not one i'd go back to.
One final thought, it had been a few years since I had visited Mallorca and I had forgotten the huge distance from the plane to the baggage collection and from check in to plane on the homeward journey. Just as well it has moving walkways.

Having stayed at the Palma Nola Palace on an all inclusive basis exactly 12 months earlier we decided to be nearer to the beach and the bright lights of Magaluf. we both knew the hotel but had never actually been inside! What a surprise when we did! Antiquated and in need of refurbishment is an understatement! When we booked half board we were informed that the price of the hotel had risen by £200 each because of school holidays, even though we don't have kids with us anymore! We decided at that price that it would be first class accomodation with sea views. No chance! on arrival we were told that we did not have a sea view but it could be arranged at extra cost!!! Cheeky ********s
The room was at the side facing the fantasia golf park and the back of a restaraunt next door! I did try to see the sea but nearly fell off the balcony doning so!
The rooms were dark all day and never saw the sun. The walls were covered with flattened mosquitoes, some the previous occupants had missed as i found out on the first night and a trip to the chemist the following day! No facilities in the rooms, we had to hire a hairdryer. No tea and coffee making facilities, a very poor standard of room. Even the maid took no notice of the do not disturb sgns and just walked in when she pleased.
The food as the majority of reviews have already said, was appalling, but enough of that.
it was lucky that family who were staying in the resort with us where in a decent hotel THE SON MATIAS. A Proper HOTEL....! i would recommend it to anyone! the son matias that is, not the AQUA BEACH. Ps we are not victor meldrews, just deserve value for money..

Been to Palma Nova before but never to Aqua Beach and afraid won't be staying there again . Don,t get me wrong as the hotel itself is clean and the rooms are well serviced ; but as for the food !!!!!
We went half-board and the first couple of days was OK but after that the food just went downhill quickly .I recall one guest telling the manager that "I wouldn't feed this to my dog" That says it all .
Beach is conveniently close but the hotel pool is smallish and is surrounded by sunbeds packed in so close to one another that you are practically lying on top of the person next to you .Restuarants are good and reasonable priced and I would recommend Abracadabra pizza place . Stadium bar has tribute acts and a "happy hour", but beware of getting stung ;it is buy one get one free , yet a pint of lager and a breezer still cost me 11 euros . Having said all that there is still plenty to do ,but a week is long enough .

Having just returned from 1 week Stay at the Aqua Sol with my wife and five year old I thought it only to fair to update having read previous reports.
Yes there are to many steps at this Apart hotel and yes we did ask to move rooms having found a large cockroach and ants in our first allocated room and finally yes it is a little overpriced at the bar however, the rooms are reasonably well furnished the AC is a bonus but, make sure you are not allocted a ground floor room as they can be well below road level hence the arrival of small nasties. My advice would be to ask for a pool view second or third floor.Bar food is good and most waiters are pleasant. Night entertainment is excellent caters for everyone, reps were ok didn't really need them having been to majorca before.
Dont bother with the market trip sunglasses and belts need i say anymore. Finally accomodation is well situated 2 mins walk into palma Nova 5 mins to Magaluf. Palma Nova could do with a bit of money spending on it not a lot of good eating places however we got by. Magaluf speaks for itself Go Karting good but expensive Aqualand again a good day out. Would re visit anytime for a cheap week by the way we flew with Futura poor standard compared with Thompsons in flight meal consisted of cold pasta going and two small rolls on return.Stuck in the eighties it appeared like a happy meal.
Overall good we enjoyed it.

Stayed at Aquasol 23rd June - 7th July this year.3rd time in Majorca and 3rd time at Aquasol.Cant beat the place for location.Turn left at reception and Palma Nova beach is 2 minutes walk.Turn right and Torrenova/Magaluf is 5 minutes walk(or Taxi for 3 or 4 Euro)Asked for pool view and got exactly that.Top Floor so had about fifty steps to it BUT you only carry your cases up once and down once. Poolside snack bar was quite nice and Bar prices probaly OK compared to other hotels.Try not to use shop at reception. No prices on anything.Go out of reception, turn left and walk over scrubland to the big supermarket(Next to O'Neills)
Apartment was fine for us with 2 kids(Kids slept on sofa beds we had bedroom)Air Conditioning was great(You need a remote control from reception)Maids changed towels and cleaned every 2/3 days and sheets were changed 3 times during our fortnight.
EATING OUT and BARS.
Kompass was quite good,Portifino and Godfathers in Torrenova,Port Royal at Palma Nova Marina also nice.Stadium Bar a rip off for drinks.20 Euro for 2 soft drinks,Bacardi & mixer and 2 bottles beer!.
Last thing, turn right as you come out of reception and head to magaluf. You will pass Rossinis(Nice Italian),then a Spanish Restaurant,Then, between the Tatooists and the Indian Restaurant(great location) "WEE MAGEE'S"Scottish Pub.A great Breakfast here(Try the BIG YIN)and good craic.Tell Ricky/Susan I was asking for them.
A great Holiday here and wouldn't hesitate recommending to others.Has entertainment each night and even a kids club as well for the wee ones. Some stag parties and hen dos but they were mostly quiet.Any problems/noise quickly dealt with

Just come back went 12th May til 26th May 2007 and what an excellent holiday. entertainment staff were really friendly. good shows every nite no need to leave hotel. water volleyball, killer pool and quizes throughout the day as well. Hypnotist was excellent, my parnter was hypnotised and it was all good clean fun. plenty of sunbeds to go round. pool side food good value for money. didnt use restaurant as preferred to use local ones. found Kompos ( turn left to at end of road past banana joes) it was great value for money 6 of us ate for around 25 euros. staff were friendly. we went there quiet a lot. dont go to rumbasol got ripped off for prices.
went the first 3 days trying to find cigarettes as they dont sell them in supermarkets and after walking to magaluff which is only a 10 min walk away found a tobacconist near kompos.
Appartment was clean and beds stripped every other day and fresh towels.
only negative things were you have one key card which operates the lights and opens the door and with 8 of us including 2 17yr olds who wanted the night life we had to leave patio doors open (luckily we were next to the pool on ground floor). we were not allowed a second key. hotel shop very very expensive bread and cheese was 6 euros they have no prices on food so you dont know how much things are until you have to pay for them. also shop at end of road try to avoid as that was just as expensive. supermarket is across the scrubland outside the hotel you will reach a pub called oneils there are steps to the left of it the supermarket is there.
the beach is a lovely and clean its 9 euros for 2 beds with shade so if there is a lot of you just take towels and lie on sand.
BCM is a great nite out for teenagers/young adult party goers and only a 10 min walk.
cant fault holiday and will definately return again.

This was a reasonably cheap holiday, so I wasnt expecting too much, but I was still really dissapointed with the Aquasol. First problem was actually getting into the hotel with a pushchair! Big problem up the steps. Reception staff were really nice but they were all I compliment.
The rooms were really tacky, not even good enough for a 2 star, and this is rated a 3*. We went in May and there were still ants everywhere in the room including in the fridge. Nice!!!!!!!
After the 4th day I asked if anyone was coming to clean the room or change my towels, I was told they come 3 times a week, which didnt happen. Nobody cleaned my room in the whole week. I had to raid the cleaners cupboard for clean sheets and towels and make the beds myself.
Bar staff were rood and entertainment was really tacky, Butlins would be better. I would never reccommend this accommodation to anybody, I was so glad to get home.
On a more posotive note Palma Nova is lovely, great beaches, great people and some fabulous restaurants. I would return to palma nova but not to the aquasol.

Wasn't sure what to expect after reading reviews before we left. Pleasantly surprised by these apartments had no compliants whatsoever! Fair enough climbing 3 flights of stairs whilst dragging along a 26kg suitcase is a bit of a pain but after that the stairs aren't too much of a problem in fact you don't really notice them if you are reasonably fit! The apartments were clean with all the facilites you would require. Only a 2 minute walk to the beach and all the bars and restaurants, although if you want something livelier, Magaluf is only a 5-10 minute walk away which is ideal.
We will definately be making a return trip!

If enjoying yourself with or without a group of freinds is your thing I would recomend Majorca to you. Earlier this year myself and eight freinds (50somethings) did our anual boys outing to AquaSol Apps. not for the fist time may I add as we have used this location before as it is very central to most things you require. This year however we came across a small problem on the last night after returnimg from an evening out we found one of the ground floor Apps. we had, had been burgeled, the safe depossit box in the room which had all 9 passports and spare cash mainlu UK pounds. On investigating the situation it was found that the room door had been opened with a pass key (this was electronicly checked by the hotel MANAGER) and safe emptied then locked and the safe door bashed in.After police statements etc.the following day and £1500 less in our pockets we licked our wounds and headed for home.
After a exellent time in Majoca once again I do not want to put any one off the AquaSol Apps. but do not stay on the ground floor and be warry of the small print you never read in your insurance docs. PS.our passports and flight tickets were left next to the safe, strange!! .Hope you all enjoy your next trip to Majorca.

Arrived and had 2 wait half hour for our apartment so wasnt that bad.only had 2 climb three flights of stairs. its really not as bad everyone makes out!i mean you only have 2 climb it with your suitcases twice!but if u have walking problems these apartments arent advisable. but anyone else complaining is just lazy if u ask me!
had a gorgeous apartment looking ova the pool, no street noise. 2 b honest the road the hotel is on isnt noisy anyway! had air con which was rli lovely as it was so so hot. all rooms were fine, clean. maid didnt come as often as i think they should. we only stayed for a week and they only came bout 2-3 times. rli needed the towels changed mre often than this as we only had 3.
nva stayed for the eve entertianment but it always looked packed and really good with lots of differnt shows on every nite and bingo!!
the beaches are stunning and only a 3 minute walk from the hotel. hire out a pedalo they r soooo much fun and really relaxing well i got my boyfriend to do all the pedalling so thats prob y!
one thing u must do if u go is go 2 the PIRATES nite, it may seem expensive, think bout 50 euros per person, bt it includes ur meal and drink.(and anyway if u think how much you pay to go to a show in London theatre its really quite good price!)the show is meant 2 b one of the best in europe. a must see!!
restaurants we recommnd r:
-El mecca for breakfast-fry up for bout 4 euros
-Superanos Italian
In magaluf it is rather lively bt it depends where you go, places like BCM, Bananna Joes and Boomarang r prob mre for the younger crowds, nt suitable for children!there is some bars that r gd tho which r aimed at both young people and familes. MANO'S is an xcellent bar, have to go. the bar staff are so friendly and wil do anything to make ur nyte a good one. magaluf is defo the place 2 go for groups of young ppl. plenty 2 do, so many bars and clubs 2 go 2, the strip goes on 4eva!
BEWARE OF MOSQUITO'S, luckily for us we got there when the worst of the mosquitos were there, bt we got bitten loads and we didnt bring any bite cream. we bought it out there, big mistake the repellent spray did nothing. one nite i covered myself in it my boyfrind didnt put any on and i came out worse by the end of the nyte!i swear they were attracted to the repellent. so some advice, bring all your cream from home!it'l b cheaper 2!

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
We booked up for a alication on arrival and had 3 options we read previous reviews on the aquasol and it sounded like the worst one out of our choices. Suprise suprise we got to palma airport and got told we were staying in the aquasol.
Once we arrived we got out room key, we were in room B7 which was good copared to some of the rooms because there is blocks from a,b,c,d onwards and the higher the letter the futher away you are. The only problem was there is no lifts so we had to carry our suitcases up 7 flights of stairs. Once in our room we didn't understand what anyone was complaning about the room was clean and had everything we needed including great airconditioning which only works when the door is closed. We also had a pool view which was very nice.
At night there was no noise what so ever which we found great as every other hotel we have stayed in was noisy from 12 till 4 in the morning. The hotel entertainers yovone and andy were very good and the hotel also has entertainment for the adults such as a hypmotist, magician, transvstite, elvis impersinater and much more. We didn't use the hotel food as we were self catering so i cant say if it was good or not. Also the hotel has a 24 hour shop beside the reception which is very handy. If you like to use the internet there is only one pc which is not very good as there is always someone on it.
The reps are always at there desk at the hotel incase you have any problems and are very helpful. We booked up to go to pirates uncut which i have to say was a must see brilliant night out but you have to be 18 to get in but my 16 year old daughter got in. The beach is only 2 miniuts around the coner which is great and a good place to eat is a resturant next to the spar i cant remember what it was called something like kasos the staff are very friendly.
If i was booking to go back to spain i would defintly stay here again and give it a big 10 out of 10

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
After reading other good reviews on this site I had pretty high expectations about this hotel but I'm sad to say I was rather disappointed.
We'd already read about the stairs and thought some people were just moaning unnecessarily - believe me they weren't! On arrival 1.30pm we were told our room wasn't ready so we sat in the bar for half an hour or so. When we got our key we were told we were on the top floor of the main building. Be warned 4 long flights of stairs with 4 kids and 5 suitcases is no fun! I cannot believe that this hotel hasn't had lifts installed. The rooms were of a pretty low standard, not terribly clean. Bedding a bit tatty and bathroom grubby and basic - no bidet. The two bedrooms were really dark and not very clean - we found a used condom on the floor under one of the beds! My husband and I slept on the sofa beds in the small living area, not at all comfy.
As this was an aparthotel we decided to make use of the hotel's restaurant facilities one evening. When we got down in the restaurant there was only one other family eating the rest of the place was deserted - we should have realised there was a reason for this. The buffet was small and very limited; salad, pasta, chicken nuggets, fish in batter, broccoli in batter - not terribly appetising we ordered one drink each from a waiter who was unbelievably miserable - I've seen happier undertakers! The meal turned out to be our most expensive of the holiday costing just under 90 euros! Needless to say we didn't eat there again.
However we did find a really good deal at the Sol hotels in Magalluf and ate in the Hotel Trinidad several times costing only 57 euros each time! The buffet there was excellent and my kids ate really well on those nights. Another great place to eat is the Diana Beach Bar right on the seafront just before the Santa Lucia Hotel the food is excellent and really good value (huge portions!) and the staff are really friendly. Entertainment in the Aquasol looked to be quite good but the area was quite small and always packed out so with there being 6 of us we could never get a table unless we'd been prepared to sit there from 6.30pm as some did! The entertainment was also held in a glass covered area that in the August heat just turned into a greenhouse - when it was full the heat was stifling.
Only sat at the hotel pool once - lots of trees (mosquito heaven) and as its surrounded by the hotel buildings the area was quite opressive in the heat. Also not enough sunbeds available, would have to be down there at 7.30am with all the saddos to get any beds and with all those stairs it just wasn't worth it!
The resort itself is excellent for everyone with lovely beaches and plenty of bars and restaurants. Would definitely go back but not to the Aquasol.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
We have just returned from our stay at the Aquasol and must say we thoroughly enjoyed it. On arrival we were allocated a room o/looking the road so i asked to move. We were told the hotel was fully booked but we would be ok to move on the next changeover day which we did and were given a pool view room. The reception staff seemed very friendly the odd time we asked for something ie clean towels, extra pillows etc. The 2nd room we had was a 4th floor one and yes it was a bit of a trek up but it keeps you fit doesn't it.
The air conditioning, which there is a unit in the living room and the bedroom, was remote control and one of the best we've come across. The room itself was nice and fairly spacious but the maids only cleaned the room and made/changed the beds about twice in the 12 nights we were there.
There was professional entertainment on 6 nights out of 7 and bingo before that which my son loved and made us get back every night to play. There was also a mini disco and a kids club for the younger children every night.
The bar is quite expensive and bar staff seemed a bit sullen.
Andy and Yvonne (hello you two) organise the entertainment and every day we enjoyed killer pool or rifle shooting (shooting over 12's only) at 12.00pm, water volleyball at 13.00 and there was sometimes footie on at 14.00 but the 3rd activity was a bit hit and miss.
The pool area is very nice and quite spacious although not as big as it looks in the brochure, and there was empty sunbeds up until approx 10ish and even all day on a changeover day.
Out and about your 2 mins away from all the shops/restauraunts etc and approx a 10-15 walk to Magalluf. We ate at the Florida 4 times (turn right out of hotel and stay on that side, go past acorn nova hotel and just a bit further on ) which was nice food and very good value and we also ate at Sopranos ( same route as above but after Florida take a right when you see the sign)which was slightly dearer (but not much depending on what you chose) but again food was delicious and the place was a bit posher (nice for a special night).
The beach is approx 3 mins away and is very nice for children, nice slope into the sea and warm.
All in all we would definately stay at the Aquasol again and would recommend it as long as you don't expect a big posh place.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
On July 4th 2006 we traveled as a group of 7 girls and 5 guys all aged 17/18 to palma airport for a week of relaxing and partying in sunny mallorca.
All 7 of us girls stayed at the aquasol. We arrived at about 9.30am, checked in with no trouble at all and our rooms were ready almost straight away for us. We had two rooms between us and they were next door as we had asked. the views from the rooms were great looking out over the hotel pools. We found the rooms very clean and much larger and nicer then we had expected!
Palma Nova is a quieter area for young party people so we headed into Magaluf most nights, an easily walkable distance (about 10-15 mins) although usually we took advantage of the cheep taxis which were about 3-4euros for the journey. Magaluf is amazing with bars and clubs as far as you can see. BCM is the largest club there where you pay an entrance fee of about 23euros and that includes free drinks all night! There are loads of smaller clubs about too, which are cheeper to get into.... we would definatly recommend boomerang and poco loco! The night life dosnt really get going till about 1am and carries on through the night til about 6am!
And as a consequence of these late nights we didnt get to see much of the beach or activities during the daytime however we did hire a pedelo one day which was fun.
I would say that the aquasol is in a good location for a holiday based in Magaluf as it isnt right in the middle of everything so there is no noise at night etc so i would recommend it to families too.
We all had an absolutly fantastic holiday and if/when we return to mallorca we will definatly come back to the aquasol!

ps) i forgot to mention the hundreds of thousands of steps!! anyone with walking difficulties or who cannot manage steps i wouldnt recommend the aqualsol as there is just so many!!

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
this was our first visit to majorca and maybe our last due to the awful aquesol apartments.
we were on the top floor involving 47 steps to climb everytime you came back which can take it out of you when the weather is hot.The view was a joke all we could see were the backs of other apartments which are not very pretty we felt like we were in cell block h prison.we also did not have much sleep all week due to mosquitoes invading our room i suspect we were near a breeding ground as we have never come across these on past holidays.we were thankful we only were there one week as i could not have put up with that for 2 weeks.
the beach was more like 300 metres and not 150 as advertised away as for thomas cook the reps had not got a clue what they were doing on are arrival at palma airport it took ages before they put us all on the right coaches.
The resort itself was ok we found quite good food and magalluf is a nice walk the entertainment at the aquesol was ok but mainly for children.my advise would be if you go to aquesol request not top floor and take a mosquitoe net It will be back to ibiza for our next holiday as we have never had a bad experience there yet.
overall i am sorry aquesol apartments we were very, very dissapointed we had read good reviews but we were not impressed.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
I have just returned from a two week stay at the Aquasol and on reading some of the reviews I was a bit apprehensive but may I say that I was pleasantly surprised.
We arrived at Hotel at 1.15p.m and were told that our room would be ready in half hour. Once in our room we were quite pleased. Apartment had 1 Bedroom, Kitchen with electric kettle, toaster, Oven and a kettle for the gas hob with 4 rings. Also good air conditioning. We never witnessed any sign of trouble, as one reviewer has said he had a grand stolen. One of the first things I do when I am on holiday is to hire a Safe deposit box which I always have to pay for. You wouldn't keep a grand in your own house let alone in a holiday apartment, so that is the wisest thing to do.It validates your insurance, anyway, should anything happen. Didn't eat in hotel so can't comment on food. We managed to get sunbeds around the pool the first 5 days but after that decided to go to beach so don't know if there were any sunbeds available.
The one thing I would agree with some previous reviewers is the standard of the cleaning. In the 2 weeks we were there I would say the maids came about 5 times. Not very good. The steps can be a bit of a problem if you are on the very top.We were in block M on 2nd floor so not too bad. Entertainment not too bad.We never change our money in hotels as they nearly always rip you off. We found an exchange place outside, a small travel Agency which was very good. Were not ripped off. Many good places to eat,Castaways, Miguel & Cheryl on way to Hotel Santa Lucia, Katies Restaurant on Beach, Natalies on way to Golf Fantasia, Floridas, we ate in many different ones. The Stadium was a good place for entertainment however it states entertainmnet starts at 10.30p.m, more like 11.pm.Good bars were Eastenders, Banana Joes and the ones along the beach by the Marina. We were in Mollys Bar, owned by a Yorkshire Family. Golf Fantasia is a fun thing, can take 21/2hrs.
Never did any trips just chilled on beach for 2 weeks but if on beach beware, as one reviewer said, of the men coming around trying to sell soft drinks or fruit. 2 young men were charged 10 Euros for a bottle of water. The Police were trying to stop them from doing it the 2nd week of our holiday. It is against the law.
Overall a good holiday was had. Would definitely return to Palma Nova and would stay at The Aquasol again.

Stayed here for the second time & again could not fault it. Rooms clean, pool area spotless (always plenty of beds!!) & very friendly & helpful staff.
Perfect location for the quietness of Palma Nova & the lively Magaluf!
Due to the amount of steps, would not recommend it to those with walking difficulties.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
The apartments are located just around the corner from the centre of Palma Nova and very close to the beach.
The apartments are basic but clean and well maintained. They had everything required for a self catering holiday although we didn't really use the cooking facilties. The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable.
The pool is a good size with plenty of sunloungers.
The bar area was nice and clean and the bar staff were friendly and reception staff helped with bus timetables and trips
I recommend booking your trip with the hotel as they were cheaper than the reps!
Overall I have no problem in recommending these apartments to anyone looking for resonable accommodation in an excellent location.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
Just got back of holiday, after reading the reviews we went with a open mind, The apartment was one of the best self catering ones we had been in. They had air con in both rooms which was a bonus. the only thing we can say needs improving was the shower which was very powerful but did not keep at one temp. They put on entertainment on every night which I thought was quite good as it was out of season.
I like Palma Nova but would not like to go in peak times think it would be really busy.
