The day we arrived there, we discovered the hotel had over booked so we had to lug our cases down a fairly steep hill to a hotel they put us up in down the road.
however when we got back to the hawaii it was a great place, with great people and great food. There was always someone on the main desk watching the hotel so it was very secure.

The pool was really nice and clean- theres a kids club for families 2!
magaluf was great- definately go to the wild foam parties at BCM- theyre not 1 to miss!
also, theres a reverse bunjee u have to go on after a few beers to give you the courage to do it.
im going back this year and can't wait....

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

The hotel Hawaii has an envious location right on the seafront.  The views are absolutely fantastic (make sure when you pay for a seaview, you request the lower floors) we were on the 2nd floor.  You may think itll be noisy during the night but you are tucked away from all the discos and pubs.  The odd drunken lads will go by because everyone thinks that they can get around the hotel but realise its a dead end.

The one thing I would strongly suggest is to get a safety deposit box straight away.  Our room was broken in to and we were robbed within 4 hours of arriving at the hotel.  Only cash was taken,no valuables at all.  You will soon realise that around the pool anyone can enter the vacinity.  Keep all your belongings with you!!!!!

The kids aren't very well catered for.  The buffett was very repetative.  Hardly any change, but edible.

It a shame about the security and the food because we really enjoyed our stay and the room was very spacious and well cleaned.

Overall, the hotel staff are very friendly, receptionists offer sweets to the kids and the restaurant staff are always smiling.

The hotel is on a hill, so dont worry about burning off some excess calories!!!

What a fantastic time we have just had at the Hawiii Hotel, After reading the review I was a bit worried about going.  We went May half term week and had the best holiday we have ever been on.  

The food was great and I am extremely fussy so if I was full then so will you be, there was something plain at every meal.  The entertainment staff were fantastic especially Dennis who was so funny and made our holiday.  The hotel is directly on the beach and so close to the resort centre, it was fab.  I must add the pool bar staff were a bit miserable.  On several occasions I asked for diet coke as our daughter is dibaetic this is a must for her, and they gave me normal coke, luckily we had a meter to test this.  

I would definately recommended this hotel and we will be going back.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

Hello. This hotel is more like full board with free drink, you have to pay for ice creams ect by the pool. The hotel is up a steep bank (not to bad) and has got 20 or so steps up to the hotel. the rooms are just rooms with bath shower ect, they have air con and good balcony doors,2 lifts and 8 floors, if you want a good view you need to be on floor 4 up.

The food is the same with pork,beef,hake, & chckin. and chips for the kids with 1 chose.the pool is down 20 or so steps from the hotel cross a private road and 20 or so more steps, the pool is ok but the tiles around the pool are missing or comeing up so take care on your 1st day, sun beds are no problem there were 6 of us and we always got 6 together even at 9o clock. 

PLEASE NOTE due to the bank and the steps if you need help in walking it will be hard work.Night life is 3 mins walk away (The strip) it goes on till 6am, (with the balconey doors shut you can not hear any sound at all) so if you fancy a early night you have got no problem in sleeping. Have fun.

Hotel central for either Magaluf or Palma Nova. Up steep hill not suitable for elderly or disabled. Requested a room with sea view allocated room at rear & on kitchen roof with view of neighbouring flats. Rooms badly in need of refurbishment. Staff polite & obliging. On site entertainment poor. 

Food very basic and little choice. Many younger guests resulting in disturbances and shouting & swearing,day & night with no regard for other guests. Corridors uncarpeted which adds to the noise. Most doors appear to have been kicked in & badly repaired. Would not stay at this hotel again but would return to the resorts. Both Palma Nova & Magaluf have very good beaches and plenty of shops and bars/restaurants to suit all ages.

I have been to Magalluf 4 times now and have always stayed at the hotel hawaii but this hotel was a very good substitute.

It is situated right in the heart of all the night life and has nice views from most balcolnies. The food is ok you can always find something to your taste and the all inclusive drinks save you loads even if you do just have a few and then go up the strip! I havent got a bad word to say about the hotel and we had a really good holiday. 

One thing i would like to warn someone who is thinking of booking a holiday here is watch out for a company called Toscana tours who run an excursion company. The price of these trips are quite cheap and it is tempting to book them but what they dont tell you is that they take you in to the middle of nowhere for over two hours and you have no choice than to sit listening to sales patter about bedding and matresses! hardly what you want on holiday! what a waste of sunshine! The trip after it was nice but rather hurried due to the time wasted at the blanket factory, Anyway you have been warned! Avoid Toscana tours and pay the full price its worth it in the long run! Have a good time in Magalluf I always do its great!

hi we went for 2 weeks and loved are stay when we first arrived the reception was very ruud. we went to are rooms they were very basic but we was not to bothered as you only sleep in it the rooms were clean and tidy but needed updating.we were on the 6 floore facing the sling shot which was amazing to watch.

in the day there were so much activities the entertainers sonya and george were excellant my best activity was water polo or you could call it water fightig no rules anything goes which made it moer fun except for the scratches lol we met ten other couples so there was a very big crowd of us the entertainment was inside so we dint reallly watch it we all sat out side playin drinking games and getting hammered the two young bar men were great giving us leathfull shots everytime we went to the bar which shut at 12 am but wen it was last orders we stocked up ldz on booze once the booze was drank we headed down to the main strip the clubs were absolutely  awsome because there was a big crowd we got so much booze free one time we got 24 shots of aftershock for free we always got to bed at 6.30 am so we felt like crap in the morning but after a very good english breakfast we were fine

the food was very nice but similer I WOULD TELL YOU TO BOOK THIS RESORT AS IT IS AMAZING AND VERY SUITED FOR P HEADS IF YOU DONT YOU WILL MISS OUT

save some spending money for western water park its such a good day out i went down the beast which is sooooooooooooo hi there was also the pirates show , we went to the uncut version which was also amazing u get free sangrea all nite long n the show was full of swearing and very good acrobats its a must see

the only bad thing is people put there towels down on the sunbeds at 5am

just got back from magaluf and it was fantastic!!  was our first girly holiday and we had no problems at all.

saw quite a few families staying at our hotel, but i think maga's more for younger people who want to be out clubbing all night and sleeping off hangovers on the beach!

we organised most of our nights out through our fantastic rep, jamie, and heatwave at the start of the week so we had stuff planned every night!  and even if you decide to organise stuff yourself there's plenty of places to go at night.  but i reckon you'll have more of a laugh going out with the reps cos you go to the best places and get great deals!  got free bars for a couple of hours most nights and enjoyed lots of drinking games.  would reccommend BCM's - it's absolutely massive, carwash and boomerangs was alrite on the popcorn party night.  

we didn't see pirates uncut which everyone was going on about and saying how amazing it is cos we ran out of money but we'll def see it next time.  and watch out - some of the PRs can be creeps but some of them are alrite and offer some decent deals, you get used to them after a while and can be quite funny sometimes.

not a lot to do during the day but we weren't too fussed as we just sunbathed either on the beach or by the pool.  there are waterparks nearby though, but we were running out of money!

we were staying at honolulu as all inclusive guests so we didn't have to worry about starving or having no alcohol.  the food was good, but a bit repetitive.  the barmen were the best and made amazing cocktails!!  the hotel was clean as the maids visit your rooms everyday if you get out of bed in time, unlike us!!  also, the hill really isn't as bad as everyone says, it's a bit of a mission but not too bad!

we had an amazing time in magaluf, we met tonnes of people and we're planning on going back next year!  but bring plenty of spending money even if your all inclusive and be prepared to get wasted every night!!

I was worried about staying in this hotel due to bad reports I had read on the internet before we went on holiday.  I have to say to anyone who is booked to stay in this hotel, don't believe all you read.  Yes, the hotel is on a short steep incline, but it is not as bad as I had imagined.  

The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly.  The food in the restaurant was excellent, the variety and the quality and quantity of food available was very, very good, the best we have ever experienced in any Spanish hotel.  You would need to be very fussy to not find anything suitable to eat.  The one drawback was the lack of sunbeds, and the time you had to get up in the morning to reserve a bed, before 7 o'clock.  I found that ridiculous, but you felt you had no other choice, other than to join the other people doing the same thing.  What annoyed me was the people who reserved beds and then didn't arrive down to their beds until 3 or 4 o'clock.   

It would be nice if a little bit of money could be spent on refurbishment of the hotel rooms to make them more modern, but overall, it was a good holiday, and we would certainly go back.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

LOCATION

Its right what every one has been sayin, yes it is up quite a big hill to the hotel!! But come on you need that hill after eating all that lovely food (haha) no one wants to go back putting on too much weight do they!! The hill can be a killer in the 1st few days but you get used 2 it after a few days. We got dropped off at the top of the hill but theres still quite a few stairs to climb up but a lad carried mine up for me, bless him!! 

FOOD

The food is really good but can be cold if you go down for your meals too late. There is a good variety but if you are there for two weeks meals do seem to repeat in the second week. There is always a variety of different meats. Theres always fish served (usually hake). You can help yourself to as much soft drinks as you want. The restaurant is open all the time well until after your evening meal. The restaurant shuts at 9 and then there is sandwhiches in the bar until 12 which you can help yourself to.

NIGHT LIFE

Theres only one word for this .... AMAZING!! Magaluf wakes up at about 12am when everyone starts going out and sleeps through the day. We had a drink in the hotel and then went out about half 11-12ish and it was just getting lively!! Was fab!!

THE HOTEL ITSELF

The hotels in a good location and is very clean. The maids come into your room every day and change your bedding every couple of days and your towels every day. The hotel is quite basic but is very clean. The pool is always very busy and hard to get a sunbed but people get up and put their towels on their sunbeds early in the morning eventhough they aren't meant to. When i was at the hotel there was lots of families there and also lots off groups of young lads and young lasses so it seemed to suit everyone.

ENTERTAINMENT

The kids entertainers are lovely and are just about always in the hotel from about 10am until 12am!! Theres always different activities on for the children and water polo on every day for all ages ... usually the adults playing it not the kids. The night entertainment is quite good always something different on every night. The quiz, Mr Honolulu and boys V girls were my fave!! But there is something on to suit every one! I would say this is the best hotel for entertainment i have ever been to.

ALL INCLUSIVE

When you first arrive at the hotel you get bands which you can't take off for the 2 weeks you are there. Blue for under 18 year olds and cream for the adults. I was 17 and got given a blue band eventhough we paid adult prices but other people who came on different days (when different people were on reception) got adult bands eventhough they were 15 and 16 so we weren't happy with that but we found bands which people had taken off when they left and took them to reception and said they'd fallen off and they replaced them with new cream bands ... so it didn't really matter that we were given blue bands at the beginning of the holiday.

HOLIDAY OVERALL

We had such an amazing time we have already been looking to book up for next year ... to the same destination and also the same hotel. If we hadn't of been all inclusive this year i don't think we would have ate just drank therefore it was good for us. This hotel is great value for money. The location of the hotel itself is amazing right in the middle of 2 beaches ... palma nova and magaluf!! The shops aren't that far away neither!! It was such an amazing holiday!! If anyone has half the good time we had it they will still love it!! Cant wait until next year!! Hope everyone has a lovely time x

First of the hill its massive and quite steep, dont under estimate it, also you have to drag your suitcases up the stairs with no help at all! I suggested them installing a ramp but they properly wont.

The room was very basic and the air con was by the door! Which was dirty and did nothing at all, bathroom was nice shower was a bit tempramental went hot then cold, not nice when you have sun burn! Room was at the back of the hotel infront of the most noisest hotel (apart from ours) who played music and shouted at all times of the day. I know how to have a good time but you have to give it a rest after a while! Most people had no respect for anyone, just ask the couple in the room next to us!

I recommend BCM to the ones who love to party 25 euros and its a free bar which is well worth the money! Different music in both rooms and they normally have a DJ on every night!

Only went to the beach once, it seemed nice but as me and my friend don't like beachs we didnt go again.

Food was ok, my friend is a veggie and the veggie option was good everytime. Look out for 'Smiler' the waitress in there she never smiled the whole time we where there.

The pool was cold but nice especially as it was hot, but i am sure it carries more germs then the animals over there!

I do recommend this hotel, but just go with open minds reading the reviews everyone has mixed views. I dont recommed it for familes in peak season the things i heard and saw on top of the ledge below us explains a lot!

The hotel is not only built on a hill but has 30 steps up to the entrance,staff were very scarce and unhelpful especially the restaurant clearer-ups as that was all they did,not nice trying to eat when they are scraping slops into a bin at the side of your table,food was attrocious it got that cold that  they supply a microwave on the servery to heat up reheats that had been left from earlier sittings,if you are not all-inclusive you only get water to drink with your meal.

The rooms were worst than basic,don't expect clean bedding during your stay,if your lucky the towels get changed every other day,beds very old, very uncomfortable,furniture very old.

The airtours rep is very unhelpful as well claiming nobody complained to her about the hotel,but when we asked other guests most all had complained.
I would not stay at this hotel again even for free

If you are looking for a family holiday do not go to this hotel.  This hotel is 18-30's. I am a single parent with an 8 year old daugter and we looking forward to a family break.  Turned out to be My Holiday From Hell.

This hotel is not in Palma it is right next to Magaluf and it is very busy and loud
There were sexual activies on the balconies and in the pool.  Drinking at the pool started from 10am and goes on all day then they get in the pool drunk.  My daughter was shouted at for splashing young girls sat round the edge of the pool drinking and smoking.

The air conditioning is not cool enough in the rooms.  There are cochroaches in the rooms also. Everything kept breaking down, lifts everyday at some point.  The electric in the room, only 2 points worked and one was in the bathroom.  They dont rush to fix anything.
Found the staff rude and not very helpful.
Our rep was a complete waste of time.
There are large machines on each floor that sells bottled water and these were knocked over in the night, also kicked in and alarms set of.
Rooms were wrecked and doors were kicked in.  I did not get much sleep for the 2 weeks i was there, in fear that my door would be kicked in.

The only good point was that the food was ok and you could get away from the hotel by going to the beach.
The beaches are really nice and there are lots of places to eat and bars for a quiet drink.

We stayed here for a fortnight, the towels were changed EVERYDAY, plus the bed sheets, the rooms were needing a lick of paint but the main thing was, they were CLEAN.I could,nt fault the main meals, there was something different everynight and always something for the kids to eat. 

Entertainment, the least said the better, was more for the children.The hotel was on a HILL (but there is a phone box half way up incase you need to phone an ambulance)(LOL).I would go back to this Hotel only if it was on the flat.

The hotel is close to bars, shops and beach.
Hotel not recommended for the elderly or infirm due to being up a steep hill then a steep staircase of up to 30 steps (although there is a small disabled platform lift that doesn't look safe).
The bed rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment it appears that they have not been touched since my last visit around 17 years ago.
The cleanliness of the bed rooms also needs to be improved with dust on the dressing table surface.  Not to mention the dried vomit stained balcony wall (left by previous visitors). Also the broken casters on the beds and rickety head board falling off the wall.
May be we were allocated the worst room in the hotel (who knows) just keep away from the dreaded room 110.
Regarding the television do not spend £20 euros deposit for the remote cause you can operate the TV manually any way for what use it is a the only English speaking channels are BBC World and CNN (American news).
The air conditioning was not up to much either with the outlet being dirty.

The corridor is uncarpeted meaning that the sound echo's especially during the night with the slamming of the doors. Shouting and foot steps.

Any way on a brighter side
Most of the staff  were friendly
The bar queues (if at all) were fast moving, Beer brand was San Miguel and soft drinks were Original Coca cola and Fanta.

No major complaints about the food (standard all inclusive)

Great news 
New Spanish rulings Smoking is only limited to certain areas leaving most of the hotel Smoke Free this should apply to all hotels.

The evening entertainment was great with a wide variety of shows incl Parrot's Plate spinning also the Grease Show with most the cast being holiday makers and I give them praise for what they put into it.
With bingo and top prises of more than 200 euros.

The entertainment team work hard every day and night.

The only let down of the hotel was the standard of the bed rooms.

No customer satisfaction questionnaires from either the hotel or Direct Holidays.

But all in all an enjoyable holiday

We Have just got back from 2 weeks at the hotel honolulu,It was our first time all inclusive,we were very impressed,the food was varied and they catered for everyone,plenty of english food,staff were very friendly,rooms were basic but clean,clean towels every day.we were on the 8th floor,but there were lifts,so no problem,although a little clausdraphobic if more than 4 people,we were at the back of the hotel so we heard nothing,the entertainment was for kids,but that did not bother us because we met some lovely people,we spent all our evenings on the terrace,which was very entertaining with the slingshot, which is right next to the hotel,

We was not very impressed with our arrival at the hotel,the coach dropped us off at the bottom of the second hill,we were told by our rep that the coach could not get up to the hotel because the road was to narrow,this was a lie,every other coach dropped off there guests right outside the hotel,We pulled our suitcases up 2 hills plus there were 24 steps up to the hotel,We are very grateful to the young couple  from Liverpool, the young lad carried our cases up the steps.[Thank You.]

They did have some pr*ts in the hotel,some idiot dropped a pear of the balcony just missing the people that was sitting underneath,it was frightening because if it had have hit anyone it could have really injured them,it was obviously from one of the higher balconies.we never had any bother personally.

We hope to return to the Honolulu next year,Anyone staying there get a taxi,we went back to the airport in a taxi,20 minutes,pick you up on time,right outside your hotel,carry your bags,and it only cost 28 euros,which is about £21,well worth it,coach transfer 1-30minutes plus.

What a fantastic holiday.Me an my boyfriend went the first week of June. After reading all the reviews I was dreading the holiday. But being in that frame of mind when we actually got there it was better than I hoped it would be. The rooms were basic but very clean, our bathroom was nice an clean, was quite posh really! There were towels an soap provided, there was a bath/shower an even a bidet!!

The view was brilliant from our balcony, the slingshot was located in front of the hotel which was fun to watch an also the pool an beach was in view.

about the food, I thought it was really nice. You got so much choice, the had the usual chips an that for the kids everyday but they also had all sorts of veg, meat, they had loads of salad, different soups, bread rolls, they do a lovely piela, an loads of choices of deserts which included ice cream.
For breakfast you could choose from a good old english breakfast, toast, croissants, cereals, fruit, basically there was a choice for everyone, we only ate out once an that was on our last night.

They put on entertainment day an night, an bingo which was a good laugh. The hotel is more for families but still ideal for young ones, the strip is 5 min walk, the same as beach too, its in the perfect location.

If your going, I hope you have as gooder time as I did!

My friend and i aged 25 really looked forward to an all inclusive holiday in Magauluf.  We thought the hotel would offer great food and a fair choice of alcholic drinks.  It was early June the hotel was full of families,which wasnt the problem, but we've been to maguluf in peak season which was 100% times better its worth while paying the extra to go in July/August, June is far to quiet for our age group and the hotel is diffinately was not our cup of tea.  The food was poor, it was a buffet self service and the same food that was available for lunch was the same at dinner time.   Basically, all we ate was chips, bread and butter. In fact, i would say school dinners in britain are far better.  Now i understand why the Spanish people have such great figures. 

There was a small amount of alcholic drinks available such local gin, whiskey, san migel and one type of wine which was rotten and cocktails.  Other drinks were available which you had to pay for. The entertainment was also poor.  No way would i go back to this hotel and certainly wouldn't pay £1,000 odds for a holiday here.  Its actually put me off going all inclusive anywhere again, and speaking to people around the pool side everyone was of the same mind.

Just returned yesterday from Magaluf for my stag weekend.
We have no problems what so-ever with the hotel. Lots of hen and stag parties at the hotel, so was very lively. The drinks were flowing constantly and the food was great. We took up the whole 9th floow (as there were only 3 rooms on it)It is right opposite the Magaluf sling show which is only 12.50 Euros at this time of year. Easy access to Magaluf or Palma Nova. Check out Eastenders pub, the food is great and their Vodka Jelly is lethal. Lots of bar opffers on at this time of year so do a little bit of haggling with the pr's for a better deal.

Me and my brother Stevie went to this hotel on 26/03/05 for a week it was one of the best all inclusive hotels I have stayed at 

we arrived at 12 oclock at night and were allocated a room that was unsuitable to say the least we were told as it was so late could we keep it until the morning it would be changed the next day we saw the airtours rep Tony who promptly arranged a transfer to a room overlooking the pool.

The rooms were kept spottlesly clean as was the rest of the hotel We went for breakfast it was excellent as were all the meals plenty of choice for everybody including vegies and children next try was the bar again excellent unless you want small measures that is the bar staff dont know how to bend their arms and just keep pouring and you are not limited to 2 drinks per person as in most AI hotels the snacks at night are usually sandwiches and pitza but this is ok as you are well filled up after dinner the entertainment during the day is very good with the compair Debbie trying to involve everbody in the games pool mini golf archery darts there was also an adults bar that doubled as a tv room where you could see sky tv and have a quiet drink the entertainment in the main bar was ok but it catered mainly for kids I think this was probably because it was easter.

We met some nice people on this holiday Sam the certificate man Dendo.Colin,and Tony from Hartlepool me and stevie realy enjoyed our holiday and we would definatelly go back to this hotel Just a note to finish I like a previos holidamaker have a heart condition and have no problem with the hill I was up und down about 4-5 times a day with no ill efects.

we have just come back from hotel honolulu, and we will not go again, my husband is still very ill,and we think it was the heating system, it made us both dry and we had a sore throat as soon as we turned it on so be carefull, 

the food was very good, entertainment first night really good but went downhill from there, the entertainment staff (if you want to call him that) was very annoying and silly ive seen children act more normal we all wanted to throttle him, he was brought over from the dominican rebublic to liven the place up but i for one wish they hadnt bothered.

the rooms were clean and staff were great(cleaning staff) and the hill well we found out why they called it cardiac hill, it is very steep and there are also 24 steps after the hill so my husband who has a heart condition was stuck, we had to carry our suitcases up these stairs and if we had been told just how steep they were we would never have gone, they are a killer, and so by the way is the water in the pool, freezing cold and never once did i see it cleaned it never smelt of chlorine at all and wasnt filtered so be careful, a lot of ear, nose, and throat infections around, 

we are so disapointed in our holiday we need a holiday to get over it. oh and we never got any sleep its full of lager louts and no one cares how much noise they make day or night,not like tenerife they have controlled police around making sure people dont have to listen to it alll night and through the early hours it was indeed a nightmare.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

We booked this holiday on the internet (Ebay) at very short notice so of course we knew it would be "allocated on arrival", although we did contact Thomson and ask if we could be placed in a quiet area and hotel. We wanted a nice restful holiday.  NOT in this hotel.  It seems to be the favourite location for "Alcholholics are us",the ignorant brigade, and the sewer mouth club.  We have seldom seen so many low lifes in one place.  They were in the bar from 9a.m. until closing, a.m. the following day, and then seemed to spend the rest of the time shouting obsenities up and down the corridors outside the rooms.

The food was edible and that was ALL. The chef??? had absoloutely no idea, raw bacon, burgers, beans with everything. The hill and the steps up to the hotel were very steep, and NOT suitable for any one above 60.  Thomson have again given the impression that they don't care about their clients but only about their clients money. The towns of Palma Nova and Magaluf are definitely unsuitable for any one with a brain or above the age of 25.  Thomsons you MUST try harder, Oh and tell Brittania Airlines we are not sardines.

I booked this holiday for a good week away with my friends to go clubbing.  The best part of the hotel is where it is situated, if you are wanting to get a hotel in the middle of the action it is good.

Now down to the bad points, the food is AWFULL!!!! I have been on over 12 all inclusive holidays and this one is by far the worst.  There is no variety at all and the food wasn't even hot.  Every night i found it difficult to eat anything apart from chips, I was quite surprised that this hotel was a 3 star. The poolside is quite shabby and the bar staff are creepy, really sleezy! 

The rooms are not the best but are ok, but you have to hunt to find a plug socket. 

I do not advise you to go to this hotel, but Magaluf is great and i would recommend going there if you enjoy going clubbing.

what we thought:-
POOL:- small, cold, dangerous for kids near a road.
STAFF:-rude, not great service unless you have kids.
ROOMS:- good size and double beds! not so good if your near sling shot.not enough plug sockets.
HOTEL LOCATION:-on a steep hill, then you have about 20 steps to get you up to hotel, 1 lift but is always broke.
LOCATION TO SHOPE ETC:- exellent as you right in the middle of everything, beach 5 mins.
BEACH:- fantastic best beaches anywhere.
FOOD:- not the worst, but food does get cold quick.only wine with meals no beer.
ENTERTAINMENT:- kids ok, adults cr*p.
NIGHT OUT:- adults pirate show, book out of hotel get cheaper tickets, only 20 mins away.
OVER ALL:- wouldnt go back ever!

we have just come back from an amazing 11 nights stay. And we loved every minute of it and didnt want to come back home.
the weather was fab.

the hotel is in a great location (despite the hill that u get)there is everything that u want at the hotel lots of things to do.

The hotel staff were brill, they couldnt do enough for you and they was amazing with the kiddies, especially the ones thats in the dining area.

Very good entertainment always somthing on, but to be honest when we was there they didnt do disco for kiddies everynight but they did other things to keep themselves amused,just watch out for martin one of the entertainers he likes to rip people to bits about their age when doing bigo but its in a funny kind of way, you have to take it with a pinch of salt. And then you get vinnie doing the stupid noises when you questions wrong by doing quiz's and things things like that.

For all you DRINKERS out there if you like your beer then this is the place for you, they give you very good drinks (large amounts) my feller went to bar and asked for a whiskey instead of a shot he got half pint glass full!!!!

The food at the hotel was great i can safely say that i went up for 2nds every time it was lovely.

The human sling shot was very amusing to watch at night when you get all the drunks going on it and having the living daylighs taken out of them,if people say that its keeps you awake at night then dont believe them, you cant hear it. well we didint anyway, and neither did the kids and they are light sleepers.

just beware of the pool as it sooooooooo cold, so we went to beach everyday which was great, the best beach that we found was the one behind the santa lucia it was alot less crowded and there was plenty of beds for everyone. And go on the banana boat at that beach he loves throwing you all off many of times.

i can safely say that i will be going back there next year for definate.

if you do go then enjoy yourselves as much as what we did.

The Hotel Honolulu is in an excellent location - although the short but steep hill to it is a bit of a trek when you are coming in from a night out clubbing. This followed by the 16 or so steps up to the front doors of the hotel is daunting - and then to find that the two lifts (very very small - max occupcy of 4 people) have a long queue, so end up walking up to the 8th floor (where our rooms were) was mad!!

The hotel itself is clean and tidy and the maid service is good, clean towels every day.

The view from our balconies on the 8th floor was fantastic.

The food was not to our taste - and we lived most of the week on bread rolls and chips, but to be fair we went all inclusive for the alcohol and there was plenty of that. Try the cocktails that Jesus serves in the bar (we worked our way thru plenty of the s*x on the beach ones).

The bar gets very busy in the evenings (we used to start off in the hotel bar til about 12 before going down to the strip). You need to be in there for 7 to get a table really.

We didn't have a problem getting loungers by the pool - although the sun moves round in late afternoon - this is the time to move to the outside terrace part of the bar which is a real sun trap.

The bars and clubs are excellent in the resort. So cheap compared to places like Tenerife. The best ones I can recommend are bananas and boomerangs - sister nightclubs on opposite sides of the strip - pay for one and get your hand stamped so you can go back and forth between the two all night without paying again.

BCM First Floor - get there at about 12 and pay 16euros for entry - this sounds expensive but it is then a free bar (the only drinks you pay for are budweiser and smirnoff ice which are a euro each). You can then gain free entry to the huge BCM club at the top of the strip and with a ticket they give you at the bar, get loads of cool free stuff which varies night to night dependant on theme. We got cowboy hats, beach umbrellas, t-shirts, tribal style jewellery, ruck sacks - is great.

Food is not something we really bothered with much on this holiday! Had burger king a couple of times - which was the standard thing.
If we missed breakfast at the hotel (which happened frequently), we headed just down the hill to Eastenders where a breakfast (with English sausages, bacon etc) set us back 3 euros each.

All in all I would go back to the Honolulu again - as I think it is a great base for a clubbing/pubbing holiday in Magaluf - maybe not so great for families as is noisy.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

Went on holiday here from 22nd May to 29th May 2004.  After reading the reviews before I was a bit worried but I think the people that are moaning must have gone to a different place.  

The hotel was clean, the staff were pleasant (a few with a good sense of humour) the adult and kids entertainers worked hard and were spot on.The evening entertainment was fine and the variety and standard of food was excellent and with meal times and snacks you could practiacally all day.  Even at snack times you could get burgers, hot dogs, chips, salad etc.  

We walked to Pirates (an absolute must for anyone going to Majorca) and there are numerous water parks to choose from.  We went to western water park (about a 35 minute walk) and had an absolute ball.  We stayed from 10.15 a.m to 4.15 p.m. and didn't stop the whole time. There were shows for the kids to watch and you are spoilt for choice with different slides etc.  If you don't want to go out and about there are various activities throughout the day for kids and adults at the hotel (certificates for winners and the kids get a medal when they have won five certificates). 

The pool certainly isn't oversized but it's big enough to keep the kid's entertained.  If you don't want to sit by the pool or it is too busy then the beach is only five minutes away and it is one of the cleanest beaches i have seen.  I would certainly visit this hotel again.  The only thing I would point out is that if you have children that are light sleepers then in peak season you may be able to hear the noise from the bars in certain rooms but my children were that exhausted from all that there was to do during the day they slept through anything.  

Hope anyone going here enjoys it as much as we did.

Our week at the Honolulu was great. 

The all inclusive food was fab and so was food from the resort. The staff were super friendly and were there 24/7. The rooms were cleaned every day and were done very well. Entertaiment was ok if you like  spanish dancing or parrot shows.(goos for kids though!). Pool area was very clean but pool was sooooooo cold but the sea is only 5 minuites away. The only problen with its location was that it was on a slight hill but you can cope of a night but of a day its a bit tiring. 

All round this was one of the best of the many holidays I have ever had.

spent 2 weeks in the honalulu from the 3rd april till 17th april 2004 really enjoyed my holiday the food was great and alot to choose from, put on about 6lbs by the time i got home lol, The hill was a killer for the older members of my family then 28 stairs to get to the front door but apart from that  it was good, The entertainment could have been better, 

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice, the drinks were very good and the bar staff were all very nice, my son really enjoyed hiself meeting new friends and joining in the kids activitys got 9 certificates and 2 medals hope to go back there soon

Stayed at the this all inclusive hotel for Two weeks the accommodation was good the food was excellant a wide variety to choose from the hotel also had food theme nights,mexician Italian ect.

Rooms very clean maid service everday.

The view from the room is probably the best I have seen overlooking the Bay.

The pool was cold probably the coldest I have ever been in.

The entertainment was basic.So spent a couple of nights out went to a place called Jive Bunnies just around the corner from the hotel it is a must to go.The music was good my era 70s, 80s and 90s there is a playstation for the Kids to play on that is free Darts, Pool that costs 1 euro.

Beware there is a hill to climb to get to the hotel and steps to go down to the pool area.If you go in peak season they will not be enough sunbeds to go around and ther is a Human sling shot about 50 yards from the Hotel which will be open until 4 o'clock so if you are a light sleeper be warned.

We had picked the wrong time to go as the Waterparks were closed god knows why we went for the Easter break you would of thought everthing would of been open.

We would  go back probably a week later to go to the waterparks.

A little bit worried ready the reviews before we went.Totally unfounded, the main problem is the hill be warned you will come back fitter than you went. 

Food generally good, we found lunch had a better selection than dinner. Best idea is have lunch & go out a few evenings -: lotus chinesse and Crusoe's bothe excellent. Can't understand where the grunpty staff comments came from, the maids were very polite as where waitresse and bar staff, be warned the measures are large and strong. Lovely pool but bery cold & the poolside toilets where clened almost hourly. Would say it would suit a family on abudget best. Go on enjoy

Hotel Honolulu wasnt what we expected after reading the reviews, for what we paid we thought it was perfect you couldnt complain.  The staff were very nice, the food was good there was always something you could eat, the drink was good.  There was lots on other at the hotel if you didnt want to go to the restaurant there were snacks you could buy at a subsidised rate and if you like drinks like red bull and named brands like budweiser they were quite cheap.  

The pool was good but people do start putting towels out at 8 in the morning.  There are vending machines off water, chocholate and crisps for when you get in of a night and there was a shop open during the day.  There were no cockroaches and the hotel was clean.  The steps werent that bad but there is a short but step hill to the hotel, you get used to it.  The rooms were good the decoration was a bit dodgy but fine we had adjoining rooms which was handy and the views were gorgeous we could see palma nova beach and magaluf beach and part of the main strip.  The location is excellent.  

I would recommend this hotel if your looking to go to magaluf on a clubbing holiday definately.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

We went to magaluf for a stag week in Aug 05.  Having been there before we knew exactly what to expext and we weren't dissappointed, the town is lively, clubs ar great and the beach is one of the best around.

We were met at the airport by an 18-30's rep who looked like she had been dragged through a bush backward.  We were then put through the who 18-30's talk about how we can have great fun with them if we spent 260 euro's.  There told us that if we didn't go with them then we would be throwing our money away... total rubbish.  Once you are out on the strip you get drinks thrown at you for free and it only cost 10 euro's to get into 5 different clubs all night!!

The apartment was poor.  It was small cramped and needed updating.  The shower decided how hot it wanted to be and the rooms were in serious need of air con. 

Overall Magaluf is a great party town, the beach is great and there is no excuse not to have a good time. Just would not recommend Inns apartments!!!!

Stayed at The Inn apartments July 2005, The Fair.(Wos full of English, who r so loud! )
Accomodation: Wos terrible, rooms had no air-con, and wos absolutely roasting!
The toilet wos tiny.
The pool wos tiny.

Nightlife: The Nightlife wos defo the best! brilliant!
Would defo reccomend BCM, Bananas, Mulligns. BCM is a must! :)

Would defo go back to Magaluf in a minute, but never on Club 18-30, n defo not to The Inn!

Went on the 18-30`s holiday and thought their ecursions were a complete waste of money. They catch you while your unpacking and offer you their "great deals" b4 you get 2 c 4 yourselfs whats actually on offer. Magaluf is a great place lively great beaches and amazing nightlife. the appartments was ideally situated just round the corner from all the action without the noise.
they`re are loadz of genuine good offers available 2 every1! on drinks regardless of what ur told. this is a gr8 place but try 2 avoid the excursions and do your own thing.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

we went to magaluf in june 2004 on our long awaited girls holiday. Magaluf is brilliant with music to suit every taste, our reps were brilliant and the nights out where even better we paid 150 euros for four nights out with them which we thought was a bit expensive but was well worth every penny. 

The hotel was basic but rooms where allways clean only got one hot shower each night with four girls getting ready every night was manic. pirates was the best night out because we were so drunk having contests on who could drink the jug of sangria fast enough. best place to eat was robinson crusoes on the front does the best steak ever. advise anyone to go for a great holiday. if going with 18-30 def go on the boose cruise a great day out but give the coach home a miss too much drink and sea doesn't mix well.

We booked a last minute deal on alpharooms for only £5 a night each!! To be honest we weren't expecting much but the apartment itself was fine. Fab location just opposite from poco loco's! We wern't expecting much to be open either! Don't listen to the PR's outside, one girl told us there was ony two other bars open so we went in. We later discovered quite a few bars were open and even funky monkey night club! Peter Crouch was also there when we were, even though i had to admitt i didn't know who he was! Had a wkd time! Although nowhere near as much open the places that are are still buzzin and are still open til 6 in the morn! Would definately go back to the kensington apartments again! Cheap and cheerful accommodation in the centre of Magaluf! What more do you want!?

When we first arrived at the apartments we were suprised by the accomodation, the holiday hadn't cost us very much so we were nervous about the apartment. The apartment was basic but clean. Great for a few hours sleep and to get ready in (we weren't intending to stay in it much so it was gr8!! When we went out to the balcony we were a bit shocked to see the the entrance to BMC was sooo close. On the first night it was noisy however for the rest of the holiday if we hadn't been to BCM it provided us with lots of entertainment!!

The beach was gr8! Fave beach bar was Daquiri Palace selling frozen cocktails.
Fave places to go out at night were the square behind BCM especially Bobbys Tavern & Coyote Ugly, Bora Bora & of course BCM had a gr8 night when Trevor Nelson was there!!

Best places to eat out are definately in Palma Nova (5 euros taxi)theres a really nice Italian & Mexican just off the beach, in Magaluf the best are Bora Bora, Robinson Crusoe's (v.cool).

I think with any holiday its what you make of it & who you are with, we didn't have any dodgy experiences so all in all it was a fantastic holiday. Couldn't have asked for anymore. Definately go back again, even to apartments. Try not to stay above 3rd floor though as lifts are v.small & not very good!!!

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

We went to Magalluf for a hen do and it was the perfect destination for this, lots of cheesy bars and lots of other hen and stag do's around.

We stayed in the Magaluf Playa. We were really worried about the accomodation as we'd read sucbad reviews and when we arrived we worried even more. There were a group of 8 or so blokes on a stag do outside the reception area who were shouting to get our attention, we were stood in reception for ages waiting for the key to our room and then they charged us a large deposit. We then had to squeeze 2 at a time in to te dogiest lift ever with our suitcases.

Once we got our rooms they were nowhere near as bad as we'd thought they were going to be. They were basic but clean enough and were only meant as abase to sleep in for a few hours a night anyway. Our balconys looked straight out on to BCM and although it was obviously noisy itwas quite buzzy and exciting being right in the centre of the activity. We started to get ready to go out straight away and unfortunately the tap came off of our bath and water was spurting everywhere, however we went down to reception and this was resolved straight away. We had 2 rooms four in each room and they were next door to each other which was good.

There are loads of really nice places to eat on the seafront, we went to Robinson Crusoes and Bora Bora, they were fantastic.

The beach was lovely and the weather was amazing.

Th reps are annoying when you are out at night, but you soon learn to walk straight past them as other wise you'd never get further than the bar outside your hotel! They all offer free drinks e.g. shots, cocktails and bottles ofbubbly - but you normally end up having to buy a round first to get the freebies, so only go in if the place looks good or you'll gt stuck there ages.

I would definitely recommend Magaluf to young groups and Hen and Stag do's, but families would be better of staying in Palma Nova.

The Magaluf Playa is ok as long as you don't want much sleep! BCM kicks out at 6am and you can hear everyone coming out (as well as people coming and going from midnight onwards). Generally young groups stay in the magaluf playa and they are noisy all night long too.

It is a great fun place, but I don't think many people would be able to stay there longer than a week.

11 of us went to the Magaluf Playa Apartments for a hen weekend in August 2005.  

After reading the reviews I was anxious at best at what awaited us at these apartments.  I'm glad to say the apartments were clean and functional. 4 of us to a room so I was dreading the 'pull out bed on the floor' but this too has been blown out of proportion.  The mattress was on a wooden base and was comfortable and the sheets were clean.  The only down side was the lack of cupboards and drawers for your clothes when there's 4 of you sharing the apartment. The bathroom was small but how long does it take you to shower? 
I've stayed in worse apartments where I've paid treble what we paid for this weekend - £40 each person for 3 nights! 

The only downside is the pool area - lots of rowdy lads drinking beer in the pool - so just stay away from it. We used the beach the whole time, which takes 5 minutes to get to.  BCM is right next door, and it's sound proof so you don't hear any music at all. Resort was fantastic, and loads of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Remember holidays are what you make them. This apartment is primarily used for hen and stag holidays and groups of friends so if you want a nice romantic chilled out holiday, stay elsewhere, if you're going for a weekend of fun stay here.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: Well, this was my 3rd time in Magaluf.  I absolutely love it there, everyone is so friendly!  I went at the end of September 2004 so we got to enjoy all the closing parties too which was wicked.

The apartments werent that great!  Me and my friend had the bedroom - not that we did much sleeping - and our other mate had the pull out bed thing in the living room.  We noticed as soon as he pulled it out that there was a suspicious stain on the bottom sheet - it looked like sick!  The curtains were filthy too, dont know why or how i noticed that!  Our room was infested with ants - and we were on 8th floor!  The bathroom wasnt big enough to swing a cat nevermind actually try and use it.  And the shower went boiling hot and trickling then freezing cold and came out in a big gush!  Not great when ur trying to get ready to go out.

The lifts were horrific!  We ended up walking most of the time as they kept breaking down or you got stuck in them - not that good when you have drunk about a gallon of vodka and ur heads spinning!

You were allowed to do pretty much what you wanted at these apartments although we did get told to be quiet one night as we were playing "refridgerator ball" but the security guy said he would let us carry on if me and my friend slept with him - needless to say we stopped playing!

Met some wicked people when we were there tho, the guys in the next apartment were great.

Location is good too, you cant hear anything from the BCM apart from when people come out but usually by that time if ur not joining them ur usually passed out anyway.  Close to the strip so u dont have to stagger back that far which is good.  Love Boomerangs! 

All the bars are great, Lord Nelsons is a good place to start ur night off.  And the 24/7 bar - which isnt actually open 24/7 - is good too!  The pool's nice although it did have a few bugs in it, i never saw them clean it the whole week I was there but we did find 100 euro at the bottom so that was good!

All in all a fantastic holiday, good location but horrible apartments.  Will definitely go back to Magaluf but not these apartments.

Well wot can i say, Fantistic and that is the resort.  Bcm is right beside the Playa so it is easy to get back to your apartments in the wee small hours of the morning!!! the bars across from the Playa are also a great start out point before you hit the strip, which is only a two minute walk!!!

The playa was good, i had heard bad reports about it, but found none of them to be true.  The rooms are basic, and where clean, the housecleaning ladies do come round and leave you clean sheets and towels bout twice a week, i found that the only mess was the one we made. It's everything you need for a week or two week p1ss up, you can do basically anything you want and don't have anyone bothering you bout the noise or wot time you strole in at. The pool is a good size, and is cleaned daily.

Lord Nelsons bar which is attached to the complex is great, the booze is cheap, and the staff all speak english and are really friendly.  The Reps where fantistic and did do their upmost best to make our holiday enjoyable.

The beach is lovely, but do watch out for the people that try to sell you stuff cause they will rip you off big style!!

Please dont listen to the bad reports, if your not expecting to stay in the ritz then this is a good place to stay, its close to everything, i will deffently be staying there again!!!

Just Back from magaluf, and we stayed im the Magaluf Playa, all I can say is Amazing!!! We have just had the best holiday of our lifes!!! The resort is Fantastic!!! and the apartments where not bad either.

We came on this site to see what the reviews where like before we went out and the reviews where not that appealing about our accomodation, but when we got there we where very suprised to see that none of the bad reviews where true.

The apartments are clean but basic, everything you really need for a week or two week piss up. Just watch out for the lifts as they don't always work,but dont let that put you off. The pool is a good size and the staff are friendly and will do anything for you. Lord Nelsons bar, which is attached to complex is well cool, the booze is cheap, the food is great and the staff are even better!!! Tom Browns is not bad, they do a great fry up!!! The apartments are in a great location, it is literaly a 5 minute walk to the beach and the Strip (all the bars/clubs) and you won't have any problems with security guards when your rolling in at 6am cause you can come and go as you please!!! you can also play your music at a decent level.

The Reps are great this season, very friendly, are up for a good laugh and are great to go out with.

BCM is right next door,and it won't cause a problem with noice level cause it is a sound proof club!!!

I will definately be stayin there again!!!!

We had an excellent holiday. Hotel had excellent location, just 5 minute walk from the strip and the beach. Watch out for the PRs outside every bar, and dont listen to a word they say-the deals arent very good. They say come in for one free drink, but fail to mention that everyone has to buy 3 drinks each first.

Recommend BCM (but go to Millenium beach downstairs-much better and included in the price). It cost us 20 euros to get in bcm and millenium, but that includes all drinks and you get loads of free stuff like t-shirts and flashing necklaces. Foam party was excellent there(1million gallons of foam!)

Would recommend the bar Chaneys which is directly opposite the hotel. Really cheap drinks, and the dj plays whatever songs you want straight away. This was the cheapest and friendliest bar we could find. Say hello to curly the dj!

We generally went to bed at 8am and got up at 2pm as no chance of sleeping at night-bcm is too noisy. We had to pay 35 euros each as a deposit for the room, which was quite small with basically no storage space! Our balcony was huge though. Spend lots of time on your balcony and you get to meet loads of great new people. Hotel surrounded by loads of other blocks of flats, so get to wave to them too.

dont bother going to the swimming pool, looked very dirty and was always surrounded by rowdy, noisy lads who chuck anyone who walks past in the pool. found most people were very friendly, especially the Irish.
Spent a day in Palma which was pretty but not many shops were open. Also went to Western water park which was really fun.
Weather was ok, first and last days were  hottest. also rained for 2 of the days! We only had 7 days there, but having so much fun we wish we had booked 14 days.
We didnt do anything with escapdes but didnt miss anything. People who did do stuff said they wish they didnt.

Overall a fantastic holiday, would go back to magalluf playa cos it was at the centre of everything!

Having booked this week away for our first anniversary we were horrified to find out via this site that we were going to a 18-30's type holiday/apartments as our travel agent wasn't aware either?? However, we thought we'd make the most of it and were actually quite pleased in the end.  

The apartments are situated close to the beach and nightlife, but far enough not to hear the music.  The apartments themselves were basic but spacious and clean and tidy.  They have been refurbished since last year and have double glazing and the reception staff who are English are great.  

However, don't go here if you want sleep or peace and quiet, the bars and clubs stay open all night so you constantly hear the youngsters coming back at all hours very drunk and noisy.  So if you can't beat em join em that's what we did.  Gorgeous beach, excellent restaurants (Try El Mundo in Palma Nova if your celebrating, traditional spanish restaurant although a bit pricy).  Nelsons underneath is great for breakie along with Tom Browns two doors up.  Also recommend The Red Lion on the strip for a messy night.  Great for groups of lads or girls and couples if your looking for a very lively holiday.  Definately go back to Magaluf, but perhaps go to quieter apartments next time.  P.S  The Lifts are a bit dodgy, take the stairs even if on 9th floor like we were.  They broke everyday!!

Accomodation
The accomodation at Playa III was very basic but generally clean and tidy, maid service every day and towels changed every other day. I think you were expected to buy your own cleaning materials, washing up ,liquid etc but didn't really send much time in the apartment anyway so it didn't matter that we found the broom behind the kitchen door on the last day!! 

The pool was Ok but a bit packed, however with the beach 15 mins away we didn't use it much.Safety deposit boxes and a breakages charge are payable, so beware, check your room for damages before you do anything. In all the staff were friendly and helpful the reception lady can give you details of how to arrange DIY day trips. The reps can also get you discounts at theme parks etc.


Entertainment
During the day there is Go carting, Water parks, The Dolphin park thingy etc. it is also worth taking an excursion to Palma to see the market, Cathedral and Palace. However be warned no one in the main City speaks good or even moderate English!and watch out for the flower ladies in the Cathedral.

By Night There was plenty to do on the main strip and the boomerang strip the PR staff are keen to pull you into any pub or club you pass with offers etc you have to be careful about this and make sure you can say no or you could end up extremely bladdered by the end of the night or...ahem morning!!!  

Weather

A quick note, I was absolutely devastated when it began to rain as we got off the plane but don't worry because Magaluff doesn't usually have much rain at this time of year and it had cleared by midday.

In all it was an excellent holiday and i would definitely consider going again once i have seen a bit more of the world.

If you are reading this before booking your holiday: DO NOT GO TO THE MAGALUF PLAYA APARTMENTS. If you already have then I feel sorry for you. July 2004, my boyfriend and I arrived at the apartments in the early hours to find that it was full of BRITISH HOOLIGANS!
Here are just a few things that happened to us in the first couple of hours: our BALCONY led on to a roof that was FULL OF RUBBISH, used condoms, pillows, flip flops....etc, from the balcony there was a wall that you could jump down to then to the street (EASY TO BREAK IN)>
SOMEONE DECIDED TO GO TO THE TOILET FOR A NO.2 IN THE CORRIDOR. This looked like an elephant turd and it was not cleaned up the next day.
THE LIFT WAS 1/2 FULL OF RUBBISH bags, bed linen, beer bottles so you couldn't use it.

Next door neighbours had a MASSIVE FIGHT, smashing the room up.
After these first couple of hours we couldn't take any more so we went for a walk around and was OFFERED DRUGS by a holidaymaker (this is 7am in the morning).

Eventually we moved to a different hotel, no thanks to the Escapades reps- useless!

Magaluf itseslf is amazing! Checkout boomerang wen pleasure rooms are their. the hotel is right next to BCM and our room was over looking the square, we were their the same weekend as radio 1 and they were awesome, BCm foam party was mad ppl bein sick everywer but it was mint! Our appartment was simple but their was loadsa space and 2 balconies, the appartments were relaxed and you could do whateva u wanted, id recomend any1 try a cocktail from the bar by the pool they are delicous and lethal, would definitely go back next year

We knew this hotel was going to be The Ritz as it was so cheap and just somewhere to get our heads down for what was going to be a drunken girls holiday.

The apartments on one side of the hotel are tiny (which is the ones we were put in, even though we had booked 1 year in advance) but the other block in the hotel, the appartments were huge!!! 

We arrived on the first night and were told they had over booked so had to be moved to another block of appartments.  When talking to other guests they done exactly the same to many other people too.  All they offered us was free taxis there and back for that one day. One lady on reception even tried to get out of paying that but we wouldnt budge.  We were offered a free cocktail for all 12 of us but the guy who said it did a disappearing act and was never seen again.

The maids came on our 5th day but we were going home so didnt benefit from it, so we had no clean towels after the first day.

The hotel is in a a great location for the nightlife and a great place to stay if you just want to party hard and not have much sleep, which is what we did. 

All in all I would stay here if you want to be where the action is but not if you are fussy about space and comfort.  There was only one sofa in the living area, rather than 2 so one of the girls had to sleep on the dirty pull out mattress.

When we go back to Magaluf for another girly hol, we will defo stay in The Martinique rather than back at The Magaluf Playa.  The Martinique is a little out of the way but such a good atmospehere for young crowds who are there to have a laugh and party all night long.  Plus it is so much cleaner and spacious than the Playa.

Went to magaluf for a 30th birthday for 3 nights, staff were very friendly room was clean & basic but enough for us.  It was right beside BCM nightclub but was too drunk to notice any noise. Lift only meant to hold 3 people so if more get in then its bound to break down.  I wouldnt advise families or older people to stay here or anyone going for a 1-2 week holiday.  It only cost us £65 for 4 people for 3 nights so its not going to be the ritz.  We had an excellent time so if your going for stag/hen/whatever weekend then good place to go. Hello to bar staff at Lord Nelson (our local) very friendly and lovely breakfasts

When i arrived at the apartments it was around 5  in the moring and our first time away on our own.
I was firstly greeted by a random spanish person squirting me with a water gun outside the apartments i then squeezed in to a tiny lift the hotel room was basic still with sand on v floor  a lightbulb gone and also something was up with the consevtry doors.

Oh yeah and a drunk guy told me he was our rep but can i say this holiday was the best ever we met loads of great people also in the same apartments and had a right laugh the nightlife was brilliant even tho u do get forced into bars but u do any livley place ud go. BCM square was where we started off usually n i would't worry about the bcm noise as by the time u come home your either part of the rowdy bunch or too drunk to care . i definetly reccomend it guaranteed a good cheap time o ye n 4 6 euros i got 2 double vodkas and redbull a cocktail and 2 shots cnt go wrong ;)

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

We.re just back from our holiday in Magaluf, and had a great time.  The resort itself is fantastic.  Lots to do and see.  Loads of places to eat from Mcdonalds, mexicans, chinese, kfc and then your average pub type places.  The bars are fab.  Loads of places to go for a drink and a boogie if you like dancing.  BMC is supposed to be good, personally we never went but heard loads of people talking about it.  The beach is only a 5 minute walk away from the apartments and is lovely.

Apartments:
These apartments were very very basic.  But very clean. Maids came in every two days and changed your towels and once to change your bed linen.  There is two pools, with loads of sun loungers.  The only thing i would say, these apartments are definetely not for families.  At least 3 families asked to get moved while we were here as the music was keeping them awake at night and also it could get a bit rowdy during the day at the pool.  If you like partying and drinking to all hours of the morning, then these are the apartments for you.  If you have small kiddies then definetely not.

All in all, we had a good holiday and would definetely go back, but would possibly try and get somewhere different to stay.

the accommadation we were put in on a last minute deal was disgusting, it was soppossed to be a 2 star but it was more like a hostel, we were directly next door to the biggest nightclub, in which it kept my 11 year old son up, we got no sleep till 7 in the morning, 

the apartment was sopposed to cater for 2 to 4 people, we had one cup, one glass and 1 pan, we phoned a thomson rep to complain about this noise and lack of utensils, plus the lack of saftey in the swimming pool with two out of the three set of stairs coming away from the concrete, this was on the tuesday of our holiday we also reported these issues to the reception office of the apartments which were not rectifed, the rep promised to get these issues sorted out and promised to have us moved but we never and i think this was a poorly way to be treated, 

i would never recommend anyone stay at the magaluf playa apartments in magaluf as the staff are rude, the only good treatment was the people in the tom browns resturant downstairs from the apartments, the food is good, and they are very polite, 

the beach was beautiful, it has lots of activities, jet ski's, bannana boats, pedaloes, catmanrans and the views are lovely, dont miss out on going to the western water park which is only 5 minutes away from magaluf, we spent the whole day there, marine world was good, anf]d the fantasia golf resort, i would only recommend this as a resort for older people 18 and overs its not a resort for children as its more of a party resort, 

this was our first family holiday abroad and next time i will make sure its not a last minute deal, as i would defiantly choose where we stay next time as the magaluf playa was dirty, my son slipped in the corridor in fluid that was not water, it was urine we payed £800 for this holiday

and it was not even worth paying a £1 to stay in, i would never book with thomson again as the reps dont treat people that pay for last minute delas the same way they treat people paying more. we have booked another holiday which is a all inclusive in a beautiful hotel in the beautiful resort of cuba and guess what its with thomas cook and not thomson

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

Arrived 1 week October 2005 with my boyfriend. We booked flights through Easy Jet and these apartments through Holiday Nights, it cost about £120 each with flights for a week, so not bad at all. It was raining when we arrived at 11pm at night but did not let that spoil our fun. I sent Darren to the shops to get started with the Vodka before we ventured out, as soon as he stepped out the apartments he was offered drugs, so not excellent start! My first thoughts of the apartments:
Very big with excellent sized balcony.
Very basic with massive stain on the wall after moving chest of drawes (looked like sick) the fuuny thing is the next day day we mentioned to reception, we went out  and on return we found instead of cleaning the stain they just painted over it, never mind at least didnt have to stare at puke all week.

The Resort:
very good, good choice of shops and restaurents, there is a lovely Mexican restaurent called El bolereo, situated near the strip - mainly full of Spanish and German tourists. Fantastic food another world from the usual Tom Brown type restaurents in Magaluf.Also lovely Italian right at the end of the strip near Bananas.

The Nightlife:
Fantastic, such a wicked choice of bars. There are loads of stag/hen which is good fun, you get a few idiots but thats expected in this resort. If you love R+B go to Alex's bar/ the best bar in Magaluf. Also sooooooo cheap much cheaper than anywhere alse I have been , Greece, Turkey, mainland spain etc. Vodka +Redbull 1 euro is some bars. As a couple we loved very lively nights but I would not advise any couple to go wanting a relaxing holiday. One night we went for a meal and I was so mullered from the night before we decided to go back to the apartments for an early night...............no chance the music is banging around midnight, so loud I ended waking Darren (dont know how he got to sleep) up and going out at 2:30 am which is great because all the bars are open till 4am and clubs even later. If your a majour party animal and are going with your mates October may be to late as some of the clubs wre shut. BCM is worth a go, 20 euros and free gifts and drinks all night long..... a bit to much and now I have reached 25 a little dangerous as you really can have as many drinks as you an or can not handle!!

All in all wicked holiday we would deffo go back to Magaluff but maybe try slightly nicer accomadation.

Palma - good for shopping.
Best bar - Alex's
Have a great time, just expect to come back shattered!!! x

2nd time in Magaluf this year, these apts were booked for a cheap break away before the weather got too cold. 

Apartment was small, basic, and was starting to look a bit 'tired'.  However, it was very clean.  We were astounded at the list of charges for breakages on the back of the apt. door, and quite impressed by the size of the lock.  Our 8th floor flat gave us an excellent view over BCM Square towards the beach, and had the usual 'random' assortment of crockery and cutlery.  Didn't use the cooker or fridge (ate out all the time), but both looked clean.

We had no problem with the lifts, but they do say the maximum capacity is three people.  We did once see a group of eight people emerge from one, so I can see why they might be unreliable at times!

There were a few groups staying while we were there, but on the whole it was quite quiet.  There is a pool, but we didn't use it.  I don't think I'd want to stay here at peak season, as there's no aircon, and it's probably not the place for a family holiday as the rooms are very small, but since we only really wanted somewhere to sleep it was fine.  And it was very cheap!

Hiya well i wouldn't believe all the bad reports, the apartments r basic but they r clean. 

The apartments r rite nxt 2 the BCM which is good coz it means a short crawl home and rite nxt to walkabout and coyote ugly which is a gd nyt out. The strips about 5mins away and theres always something to do and somewere to drink at nyt. The holiday was that good that me and my friends ur goin bak nxt year for 6months to wurk and we are going to the magaluf playa apartments if they will have us back. You r allowed tae do what you want in the apartments and a wee tip to meet peepo in eh apartments is chap there door and have a water fite we found that wurks but dont get cot off eh security guard. Everyone was friendly and the staff were helpful.

Well to start off with the cab driver spoke like NO english but was very nice!  Cost of cabs are like 25 euros from the airport to the hotel which is right next door to BCM the biggest nightclub in Magaluf!  Wasnt as noisy as I thought it was gonna be or maybe it was just that I was so comatose I didnt know the difference!  LOL....Anyways, across the street was a small little bar (dont remember the name) but the DJ was rocking and we were like the only people inside dancing but there were people sitting outside!  Visited Coyote Ugly and danced on the bar and that was so much more fun that I initially thought it would be! Although from the looks of it the real fun was in the girls restroom where I caught two people "getting it on" (which I'm still wondering how the hell they did it b/c if you've been there then you know how EXTREMELY small the "rooms" are!!)

Ate way too much Pizza Hut and baguettes but MAN was it good!  Saw the Pirates show on Friday night at 1130 and though it was entertaining and there are some WAY talented people in it (sort of cirque de sole) I truly DONT think it was worth 50 euro...Maybe 25!

The rooms were OK, the floor was DISCUSTING so i highly recommend bringing an extra pair of old socks or flip flops to "get ready" in!  The shower would have been nice if the hand held part was attached to the wall (or at least had the capability) The beds were alright and seemed clean (that is until someone puked in theres) hahahaha The fridge didnt cool that well but it was colder than NOT! Loved the fact I had a full length  mirror in the bedroom!  Also at night sleeping wasnt too awful bad (HOT i mean) but there are fans available at several places to rent at like 2 euro's a day!  TOTALLY worth it if you're a girl that has to dry her hair for 20 minutes like me!!!

Walked along the strip towards Banana Disco went in a few bars including Bonkers (where there was a really cute bartender from Southhampton) Drink specials offered by the reps were pretty decent!  Got two vodka/diets for like 5 euro which aint that bad i guess plus a free shot (however, the shots are limited and not that great of selections) but did the trick for me as I dont remember coming home!

BCM was a blast!  MTV Base was there on Fri night and the music was OFF THE CHAIN!
Had a great time MTV and thanks for having the camera's in my face (among other places)numerous times!!!  All in all this was a great time!  The beaches and water are GORGEOUS!!!!  Have a great time if you're about to be on UR way!

The apartments were good, quite clean, Molly maid came twice during the week (p.s sorry 4 not washing up) Went with Escapades and this hotel is the place to be if you wanna have fun. made some amazing friends!! 

This hotel is for people that wanna be up all night and don't mind abit of loud music blaring!! BCM was a let down, full of sweaty old men! gross. The strip/strand was good, plenty of bars and clubs. The slingshot is a right laugh. Everyones real friendly over there but lads, watch out for the pr*stitutes that linger outside at about 6 o clock when the clubs end (they wanna take all your jewellery)

all in all, MAGALLUF is the youngsters place to be, The Magalluf Playa is good enough, didn't really spend much time there! Pretty clean, except there were a few probs with the door on 4d3. But thanx 2 Bill the caretaker it got sorted. Amazing friendly staff, best hol ever!! p.s GO TO THE ADULT PIRATE SHOW!

Hotel was fantastic, right next door to BCM if your after a quiet nights sleep then dont stay here, in fact dont go to magaluf at all!!!

had the time of my life, bars and clubs are all excellent, and great value for money... dont be put off by the PA's they are only doing their job, they are all really friendly and ask them wot they can do for u, eg we went to mulligans..3 euros got us 2 archers n lemonades each, 2 shots each and a jug of sex on the beach between us!!

staff at the magaluf playa were very friendly, we booked a 1 room apt between 4 of us and wen we arrived the staff kindly gave us a 2 room apt which was very nice.. one morning i was rudely awoken by someone pissing on my door but other than that i had a wicked time!! i would definatly recommend staying here!

I had a class time and i'd like to thank all the people i met over there, for making it possible

the hotel is generally for the under 21's, and If you are in that age group you will love the MP, the hotel is next door to BCM and is very close to all the night life, the weather in Majorca never lets you down, its always very hot.

The hotel: It's an ok hotel, there is no stipulation on noise and people are coming and going all times of the night, you get to meet people very easy and the accomodation is adequate, the rooms are small and sleped 3 ok, any more and you would suffer, the balcony's are huge which is nice, the pool is small and you get your usual loutish brits drinking around it, there is a small shop onsite for all your self catering needs, and Tom Browns below is very nice for a meal out.

Resort: I remember coming here when I was about 23 and enjoyed Majorca much better, we also stayed in Palma Nova and had to walk quite a way back to the room at night, which is nice as you get to meet people. Poco loco's is still good, so is Mulligans and Carwash club is ok, also Funky Monkey is very good and not packed.

Too many ticket touts and quite a few prossies loiter the streets but its still a nice resort with plenty to do.

To sum up, if your under 25 you will love Magaluff and the Magaluff Playa will be a great choice, if your over 25 I would not recommend the MP and would suggest you go to a quieter place like Palma nova and walk in to the nightlife when you want it.

we went on holiday for a week with escapades and had the time of our lives.
we did the escapades block package and it was money well spent, all the reps there are the bee´s knee´s... made a lot of new friends there and are still in contact now with our reps phil(zoe) and simon.

if it is your first holiday there you will want to go back and back again.
didn´t think to much of BCM tho, it was pricey to get in and the drink was pritty poor, plus all the PR keep on at us all the time so we didn´t go twice. a big don´t go from us...

the apartments are pritty basic but nice, all the staff there are english and will help you if you have any problems.

any way have a good holiday and remember do the block it is well worth it (bling and cabaret, so good). say hi to the reps from us

i have just recently come back from the best holiday of my life. its is my 1st holiday away with my mates.

the hotel was nice very clean and the staff were very nice ecpecially the cleaners if you know what i mean ;)very tasty. the rooms are very hot so make sure you hire some fans to keep u cool also hire a safe coz der are many tea leafs which i fort i left back at home.

oh and the clubs are orite aswel

you wont be able to get to sleep in dis hotel so pull a bird and kip at hers

Well what can I say: If you want a party free, stress free relaxing week magaluf is not the place to be! Its very lively but plenty to do, the beach is big so there is plenty of beds. Loads of pubs bars restaurants you name it they have it. The accomodation was good,there was only three of us and we got a 2 bedroom apartment so lots of space. The only air conditioning you have are the ceiling fans (the one in the bedroom hardly works) but you can hire more fans out at reception. 

The staff are friendly and I dont think we had one problem to complain about.... but I would stress when the maid comes round to clean do try and get extra bedding from her as they kind of forgot about us. If you try and sleep between the hours of 2am and 6am you'll have no luck. The noise gets worse the earlier the morning gets as everyone is coming in from there nights out and the place does echo!!! but all in all a really good place to be if you want a party destination with plenty to do.

What a Dissapointment, Can't Believe we Had to come home what a fantastic weekend break. Nightlife is Fab, on my opinion you have to see everything there is nothing u should miss. 

The beaches are lovely although if u can't swim don't go out far! common sense will tell you. The rooms were very basic however who wants a nice room if u plan to stay up all weekend. The food wasn't the best, but plenty of places surrounding you, the bar staff were fab and very helpful. The pool is very shallow in the shallow end, so be careful and don't dive, there were several head injuries when i was there and that was only for the weekend, resulting in a fractured skull and broken neck bones so DON'T MESS ABOUT BY THE POOL. 

Watch out for the maids as things did get stolen from the rooms but just get a safe.it's easy. I recommend this hotel and resort to anyone over the age of 18, It Is FAN BL**DY TASTIC!Just go and get p1ssed. It's a downer when you have to come home.

Well what can i say about Magaluf it is absoultely brilliant, i loved every minute and i would definately recommend it to anyone! 

The Magamar on the other hand is a totally different story! Although the hotel was relatively clean and the rooms were perfect for what you need when on a self-catering holiday, other aspects were relatively poor! During our stay although towels were clean on the days stated, the one day our bedding was suppose to be changed it was never done until we complained! 

We also found that items tended to move themselves pretty easily from our room, for instance 50 euro's was stolen and although we complained nothing was ever done about this! So make sure all valuables are kept in your safe! 

The pool was ok and it was fun watching all the lads try to do all these mad dives and stuff! The food was ok and pretty cheap and the drinks weren't to bad compared to some of the bars on the strip!The only fault i really had apart from the maids was the noise! We found ourselves catching up on our sleep throughout the day rather than at night because between the hours of four and six and sometimes eight as everyone is coming in from the night before, so don't expect to get much sleep! 

I definately wouldn't book for this hotel again! But i would definately book to go magaluf again as it was brilliant, a definate must see is the pirates and go to the bcm and poco loco's!some more advice for those with freestyle don't book that ticket thing they offer we found it to be a rip off! if you want to book certain trips do it individually as you can do that aswell!

When we first pulled up to the Magamar we all wanted to head back to the airport but do not be put off by first appearances, the Magamar is clean, apartments are spacious, clean and well kept apart from no air con (needed in August), pool area was nice and there was no fights for sun beds so could sleep till 12.  Must recommend the full english breakfast bought in the hotel bar needed after a night out.  Hotel was loud but not as bad as some reviews make it out to be.

Magaluf is excellent resort for groups of young people, loads of bars and clubs but you must visit Pirates its a great night out with tasty food and free drinks.  Also we all enjoyed having meals in Tom Browns very tasty.

We are hoping to book up for next year and are jealous of you people reading this because you already have. You are bound to have a fab time both day and night!

Not recommended. this hotel it is really terrible.

Paid a fortune to go to this place and my god i was pleased when i bought a cheap ticket to get home. I'm used to partying that wasn't the problem - no air conditioning- fans that some didn't work, bedding never got changed until we asked(complained) fridge didn't work my god it was a nightmare. We paid 550 pound each for 2 weeks through thompson freestyle  and although it was not cheap i wish i had paid that little extra to get some where descent.

Magaluf is by far the only place to go on holiday. 

Everywhere is amazing I strongly recommend Mano's Bar, also try Joker's and for a really good time go to The Green Parrot, the DJ there is very friendly and will make you feel welcome. He always has a friendly chat with the customers over the DJ booth. All Germans must go there. 

Our hotel was the Magamar, what can i say, everything you could ask for is there, all the rooms are well air conditioned with a mini bar and en suite bathroom in each room. The hotel security are very friendly and the maids arrive twice a day to check that your luxury appartment is up to scratch. The view from the room we had (513) was simply stunning. You can see the outline of what looks like the spanish version of the ochill hills, and if you look really close you might see too deck chairs in the middle of a nuclear blast fallout area. 

So if your looking for a good holiday, Magaluf is the only place to go. Two thumbs up.

P.S the B.C.M is the same size as sly's in Denny and just as good

Not long returned from a weeks holiday staying at the Magamar Apartments and have already booked up to go back later in the year.

Me and the girls have been to several clubbing destinations and this is the best one by far!BCM'S is only a 5 minute walk away and the beach about 10 so the apartments are in a great location. The food at the hotel is ok but we went down the road and ate at Tom Browns most nights, free wine with your meal and really resonably priced english food.

Carwash is a fab night out with all your old disco music and BCM'S foam party is fantastic. Girls take your camera'a the male dancers bodies are absolutly amazing!!!

Would definatly reccomend this hotel or any of the fiesta hotels as they are all in good locations

Looking back at previous reviews, the theme that this hotel is in need of refurbishment is true.  Our room (301) was shabby,not particularly well cleaned - the glass doors were covered in fingermarks - there was a sock on the balcony that looked as if it had been there all season - there was only one chair and a cracked table on the balcony - and despite numerous complaints to the hotel reception - the air conditioning did not work at all - even though they kept telling us the technician says it was.  On arrival at 05:30am we found there were no towels in the room.

You have to rent the tv which although we are not on holiday to watch tv is probably worth doing as the sockets in the room (apart from the one by the cooker)did not work and so it was no suprise to get some mossie bites during the night as I could not plug in my mossie repellant. If you rent a tv they must put the fuse in to work the sockets!

Hiring the safety deposit box is worth doing as it is very reasonable.

We still enjoyed our holiday at the resort eating out most nights at Tom Browns and enjoying a drink in the bars although we were not too late in bed all was well - as has been mentioned in previous reviews - until our great English youth decided to return at around 5:00 am and decide to let everyone know how they got on that night! The fact that our air conditioning - which evidently operates 2pm until 2am - was not working and we had to keep our balcony doors open did not help.

We spoke to some other guests who did say the food in the restaurant was good and the vending machines selling water, soft drinks and beer at reception were in my opinion reseonably priced.

The hotel is next to the beach and as the sunbeds around the pool are cramped together we spent all our time on the beach.

The Aqualand water park is great although we were told the Western water park next door is also very good although Aqualand is better for the younger kids.  The park is only 15 minutes walk from the hotel.

The hotel internet is expensive and our girls went to one accross the road from the hotel which was very reasonably priced.

The hotel provides a courtesy room to shower for those who check out at 12 noon and have late flights. To make things worse - this room was well decorated and the air conditioning worked.  The room was on the ground floor near to the manager office so either the hotel is starting to refurbish or it's something to do with the proximity of the managers' office.  If we had had this room it would have ut our holiday in a different - much better prospective.

Been to this Hotel twice a year for 7 years now.Always made very welcome from the director down to the cleaning ladies.
Food superb and what a choice.
Good food to be had at The Black Bull.formerly The White Rose,opposite the Samos hotel,which is next door to B C M.Also good food at The Happy House on the sea front.
Enjoy going to Benny Hill's and Manos.
Pirates Show is a must as is Western Water Park.
For 18/30s the strip is the place to go also B C M. The P Rs are a bit of a nuisance but if you are firm they tend not to bother you.
Going again in September and am really looking forward to it.
Have also stayed at Hotel Guadeloupe,Samos,Magaluf Park and The Antilas all of which are good hotels but we prefer The Majorca Beach.
Staff are all superb and make you really welcome.Thomas Cook's rep also look after you.

Stayed here before about 6/7 years ago - not much had changed apart from letting in a lot of young people. No complaints about the room, we had a massive aprtment that was cleaned every day. I Like this hotel as its on the outskirts of Magaluf as I've stayed in the centre before which can be a nightmare when its busy!
Would not recommend this hotel for families as it is now full of 18-30's who have a habit of forgetting their room number at 5am & decide to shout as loud as they can until one of their party wake up to let them in!
Staff were very friendly & helpful. 

I would stay here again.

Had a good time at the Majorca Beach. The room we were put in had a big living space with kitchen and dining area, with a seperate bedroom area and a good sized bathroom. The view from our balcony was amazing, It looked out onto the sea and pool.

The food was pretty good, could of been better but there was always plently of choice.

The entertainment was a letdown but It was fun at times. For little kids it would of been good.

Don't expect Magaluf to be a family place because it's not. There were groups of lads at the Majorca Beach, they wernt really a problem but they took over the pool some days and shouted from balconys.

There is 2 pools, one for the children. To get a sunbed you have to be up early or you can get up a little later and get one near the beach that belongs to the hotel.

Overall was a good holiday for what we paid.

This holiday was a nightmare from the start.

Reception shabby. First room we were given, bathroom ceiling covered in damp, furniture shabby and very old and balcony railing loose (3rd Floor). View was trees covered in patio chairs and rubbish presumably from apts above.

Moved to 11th floor, even though I am terrified of heights. We were told this was only room available. Windows open to waist height, very frightening if you have a young child. Again furniture shabby.My son cut his foot on glass left on floor. Air conditioning practically non existent. Air con switched off by hotel at 3a.m. Heat was extreme and no one could sleep it was so uncomfortable.

Pool dirty. Thick scum line round top of pool. We did not use it.

Had complained to Thomas Cook reps every day. Had asked to be moved to another accomodation, reps never got back to us about this. We were eventually moved to low floor room, 3 days after we arrived, when I had told reps I was definitely going home. This room had to have cushions and a table replaced and air con repaired before we moved in. Thomas Cook rep said a lot of things were not replaced because young crowds stay at hotel and damaged fittings. I said it should not be advertised as family hotel then or 3*plus, which in my opinion it most definitely was not.

I was so ill with the stress of the first 3 days, I went home with my son. We had to arrange our flights ourself. Thomas Cook did not arrange any for us.

This hotel has the potential to be very good it has a beautiful setting right on the beach and stunning views. However, it would need to be renovated and stick to one clientele.

As soon as we arrived at this so called family hotel i had to ask the rep if we were at the correct place, this was due to the several groups of 18-30,s who were qued in front of us at the reception  however we laughed it off joking that how unfortunte it would be to stay next to them all in the hotel,i think we jinxed ourselves as yes we were not only next to these groups of 18-30,s there were more ,many more ,without going into to much detail and coming across as some type of prude who is only used to 4-5 star accomadation , this hotel was your worst nightmare, 

im a great believer of live and let live and have been to various hotels etc all over spain for the last 30 years and have never made one complaint, this is the exception ,the main areas of concern were the various objects and liquids that were being dropped from the upper floors, the very loud  music coming from various rooms , the constant use of offensive language  around the pool and at night ,every night, the nocternal activities of these drunken gangs coming back(between 3-6am) from their various watering holes not only kept us awake ,it was frightening the kids.

This hotel, in my opinion,to have the word Family connected to it is slanderous in the extreme. This aside  the Pirates night was excellent and the various restuarants we visited were great. We heard that this hotel was going to be downgraded next year and if you look in next years brochure there is no kids club or     entertainment.  In my opinion they have already downgraded this year.

Hotel was lovely reception was spacious with air-con & plenty of seating also had wide screen TV to watch the world cup.  Room was clean but there was some ants we had to get rid of firstly & did get some mosquito bites but that did not affect my enjoyment of the holiday.  Cleaners were in every second day with clean towels & bedding.  Balcony view was excellent right over the beach, could watch the water-sports.  Air-con wasn't great & the room was always HOT!!  Large selection of food & very tasty, had a different main dish on each night along with the usual favourite eg. chips, pasta & pizza.  Location of the hotel was also good with stairs from the pool area right onto the beach.  Pool area was excellent could almost always get a sunbed with entertainment for kids & adults each day including a quiz!

The overall location of the hotel was excellent on the main road 5min walk to BCM.  We would walk into PalmaNova each night for the amazing nightlife & would usually get a taxi home for 3/4 euros...well worth it as it is very hilly in PalmaNova.  BCM, Carwash, Boomerangs & Icon all worth a visit would also recommend the banana boat & pedalos.

An overall excellent holiday & would defo go back!

This was our 5th time in Magaluf, 2nd in this hotel.  We thought for the price we paid it was excellent value for money and would go back again.

Accom
We stayed for a fortnight last year and had a bigger room and a shower over the bath (we were in the block on the right as you look from the road).  This time the room was acceptable but the shower was a nightmare.  It was just a shower tray with a curtain round it.  On the 3rd night we found that if you wet your body, turned the shower off did the soap/shampoo bit with the curtain completely open then closed the curtain only to rinse off then it was bearable.  We still needed to build a dam with towels though to stop the flood of water from the bl**dy thing.  Be warned though that if you do that the water is cold when you first turn it on again. The beds were pretty uncomfortable but no worse than any others we have stayed in..
On a positive note the rooms were clean with maid service every day.  There is a hairdryer in the bathroom which was actually quite a good one, it didn't keep cutting out like some do when they get..

Food
We thought the food was excellent and apart from a piece of fish with a million bones in, never had anything that disappointed.  This is a Thomas Cook only hotel and the Brits were well catered for.  Breakfast had the choice of cereals, fruit, continental or fried stuff.  For some strange reason chicken nuggets make the occasional appearance along with random green vegetables too! The coffee blows your head off (good for a hangover) but the fruit juice was cheap and nasty.
Evening meal again had plenty choice and everything was well cooked and kept nice and hot.  The ice-cream is gorgeous!!

Facilities
There are payphones, there is internet and a shop.  In reception there are vending machines - one for beer and the other gives you cheap bottled water (cheaper than the shop)

We never used the pool as it is very small and they young ones tend to take it over.  As the hotel is right on the beach it didn't matter to us anyway. 

As Magaluf is a haven for the young crowds please be aware that you may encounter rowdy behaviour in the hotel, especially the height of summer.

Out and about
Directly across the road there is a supermarket and although the Majorca Beach is at the quieter end of town it is still in easy walking distance of the nightlife.
If you want a really good meal and a nice strong drink turn left out of the hotel and across the road on your right you will find Pelican after the off licence.  Carlos is a great character and his measures of vodka are fab!  For great food at lunch if you are on the beach try the Ancla Verde it is lovely.
We found that The Square was great fun and The Strip was good too but maybe a bit too rowdy if you lke the quiet life.  We were conned last year in a well known pub opposite BCM with an offer for 2 bottles for x amount of euros but because we shared them the price went up - when we questioned we were told the offer was only if one person has both bottles.  Outrageous!!  There are bars that have tribute acts on (Supremes/Blues Brothers etc), there are karaoke bars, bars that cater for families and of course the lively ones with the chart/dance/rnb music too.

To sum up, Magaluf has something for all ages but be warned that the young crowds do make a lot of noise at all hours of the day and they do consume huge amounts of alcohol.  That being said, we have never seen any trouble in all the times we have been there.  Yes we've heard shouting/singing etc but it is what you come to expect in a resort like Magaluf.

The Majorca beach was very good value for money and we would definitely go back.

We have just returned after a week in this hotel and had a great time. The hotel is at the quiet end of the beach and we found it a very relaxing base. The food was very good and service always friendly, any requests we made at reception were actioned immediately.
The reps have two welcome meetings, a 'family' one and a 'young and lively' so you can choose to attend either or both.

The beach is one of the best we have seen and the hotel has free sunbeds at the bottom of the grounds only feet from the beach.

Tom Browns is 5 minutes away on the front and you can get a 'latte' for 1 euro (compare that to UK coffee bar prices). A great place if you fancy a light lunch. I can recommend the prawn cocktail with french bread washed down with local beer.

Best purchase was an electric fan with a big clip, 10 euros from shop opposite the Red Lion. We clipped it at the side of the bed to add to the air conditioning at night. We plan to use it on all future hols.

You can be entertained by 'people watching' whilst sitting outside the many bars. We saw a dozen bat men with the full kit including floor length capes. These stag and hen parties are a real treat. I can also recommend the live music in the bars, from irish folk to Four Tops and Rod Stewart soundalikes.

All ages can holiday here not just the young ones though we never stayed out after 1.30am so we did not see the 'young and lively' at their worst!

been to magaluf a few times now and have noticed a rapid decline in the resort this time.stayed self catering so never tried the in-house food,some said it was ok others said it was not great.for a 3star its not a bad place,but does need updating a bit.

entertainment is nothing special but the reps try hard and thats the main thing(errol singing and stewart dancing is always a giggle).hotel bar is expensive and the pool is quite deep so beware with your young children.best places to eat are probably titanic bar,tom browns and the happy house.the  serious downside to this hotel is if your going for a party in magaluf its a great base but if your looking for a family holiday beware,the place is loaded with youngsters singing,screaming,shouting from midnight untill 6am.the security guard downstairs is more concerned about sleeping and smoking than stopping the noise.

also watch youre bags,serious thieves working the area,normally waiting untill you get off the coach to collect your bags or they pretend to help you with bags in your room.they stole my partners mums bag on thge first week and they followed another woman to her room and took her bag.

Hotel is about right at 3 star. bit dated but clean and tidy with good maid service. food in hotel was good value at 10 euros per head. Alchol was expensive and reps entertainemnt not up to much. Beach is 1 minute - beware of all the people who get up at 7 - 8am to put towel on sunbed. 

Pirates is a must. Tom Browns good food but Happy House is better value.Palma Nove 20 minute walk or 3 minutes on local bus.Hotel is at quiet end of town but only 5 - 10 minutes from all the action. Good choice of pubs and food .

Go on a pedalo to the island and back - Marine life is great. BCM is for 18 - 25 year olds but we still went and had good nights.
Use BIP supermarket - 5 minutes away its the cheapest about (we stayed self catering).

Would go back to hotel again but a lick of paint is needed and new mattresses - bit on soft side otherwise we had a great time.

first of all i dont think i will book with thomas cook again unless i really have to the cabin crew on the plane were horrible and very unhelpful my kids did not have any kids meals on the flight there or back even thought i paid for them and when i asked one of the crew why? because this had happened the year before she was useless and i heard her say to a fellow crew member i,m not in the mood for a fight and looked at me all i ask is why ,i did not go into the boxing ring with her and i was not rude or shouting, no need for that when u pay alot of money out for a holiday.

MAGALUF

what can i say about magaluf it is brill great for all ages i love it and will be going back the kids love it and the people are great this is my second time there and it is still great.The best place to eat is TOM BROWNS great food ,great value and great staff their big breakfast is gorgeous and they do a brill steak. We went on an all day cruise for 35 euro per adult and 15 euro for kids it was a good day out even though the weather was not all that good all week but i suppose it was the end of may.

HOTEL

the hotel was not that bad ,it was clean and the staff were great and we had a wonderful view and the reps were ok too,but would not go back there again because it is self catering,it cost us a fortune definatly goin all inclusive again next year.

Apart from the weather and the thomas cook cabin crew who could not give a monkeys and thomas cooks overall attitude with good loyal customers who give them thousands each year it was a great holiday plenty of beer and laughs and loads of goodies for kids

Thanks to this website we had a very nice holiday at a very nice hotel.
When we were searching for a bargain on the TV Teletext we'd done our 'homework' by looking at this site, so knew which hotels to avoid at all costs.
 
When making a booking on the phone, I advise you to check your paperwork carefully before travelling.  We failed to do that.  When my husband made our reservation the lady at the company assured him (verbally)that hotel transfers were included. Unfortunatly on arrival at Palma Airport we discovered that was not the case so had to pay about E30 for a taxi.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Mallorca Beach Hotel. I agree with other reviewers that the place would benefit from a bit of refurbishment (having old frayed carpets and two lifts that seem to take turns at breaking down) but on the plus side it was scrupulously clean and any requests we made to staff were dealt with immediately (and with a smile).
The place is right on the beach and at the pool there are more than enough sunbeds for anyone who wants one.  We never went down til after breakfast and we always found space at the pool.

We had plenty of wardrobe and drawer space in the room, and a very nice bathroom.  It has to be said however that the beds were years past their sell-by date.  Mine wasn't too bad but Brian's was like a hammock!
Our room was situated overlooking the busy road and there was some noise if you had the balcony doors open.  That didn't bother us a great deal, but might be a problem for a family with small children. First thing in the morning come the dusbin men and street cleaning machines. But realistically that's the price you pay to have a resort that's immaculately clean.

Worst noise comes from the drunken youngsters staggering back from nights on the town.
We didn't mind so much hearing racket from the street, but we found ourselves woken every day (bang-on 5.30am) by someone staying in the hotel.  This person (who obviously never had a key) would come back at the same ungodly time every morning then ring the room buzzer constantly until their mates opened the door.
I noticed that in some of this web site's previous reviews, concern being expressed that this lovely hotel is being given-over to the 18 - 30 brigade.
When we were there, although there were still couples and families in the hotel, there were also several large groups of young lads and lasses.

In all fairness I must say that for the most part these were nice, polite young people who only wanted to have a good holiday.  But there were others who were rather more rowdy and on more than one occasion were taken to task by hotel staff/security/Holiday Reps.

As an ultra-fussy vegetarian, for me food has always been problematical when on holdiday and in the past when staying in hotels, I've often survived on salad and bits of fruit for a fortnight. This time however I was pleasantly surprised.  Not only was there a proper vegetarian option (sometimes a choice of two) at every meal, but there were lots of nicely cooked vegetables and imaginative salads on offer too.  Compliments to the Chef!

For all that Magaluf has a 'reputation' as a real Party Place, the pace of the nightlife is as manic (or not) as you want to make it.  As well as 'The Strip' there are lots of quieter bars and family orientated places with good shows on offer.
This pair of 'Old Fogies' spent most of our evenings on 'The Strip' just People Watching.  What great entertainment to observe the antics of the young (and not-so-young), many of them Hen and Stag parties in fancy dress.
Better than anything you see on TV!
These folk would get extremely drunk and sometimes fall over, but everyone was really good natured.  Unlike a Saturday night in Newcastle we didn't witness a single incidence of aggression or any fighting. 

In summary.
Nice clean hotel with good staff and excellent food.
Lovely clean resort, nice beaches and friendly people. 
Prices are very reasonable everywhere for food and drink.
Good place for a holiday.

had a last minute , 1 week break at this hotel, £220 each for 4 of us, 2 our ages were 30,35,5 and 7, when we arrived , it looked nothing like it pictured on the website, it was ev better, the rooms were spacious an very clean, altho noisy at times, cos its near "shagalluff", a few parties of yobbos, but didnt really bother us, plenty for the kids to do, the entertainers there are brill, reps are a bit crp, an seem to want ur money for crap trips, but we didnt bother anyhow, hotel excellent all round , pools clean, close to the beach, altho, the lifts were small, and there seemed to be no1 under 50 that worked there !!, wouldnt sup in the hotel bar its a bit pricey and well to be honest, the mozzies were out the week we were there, so i got eaten alive, but u expect it in hot places, magaluf itself, waasnt wot i thought, i expected rowdy pissheads and clubbers everywhere, but unless u go rite into the strip, u wont find it, nice places to eat an drink are the robin hood, boselecta, happy house and tom browns, all serve good quality grub, and about 1.50 euro for a pint of san miguel, the best p[lace was rambos bar tho, he kept his glasses in the freezer, even better, but we didnt go there till the last night !!!

places not to go !!!  MAXIMS the "italian place" what a absolute joke, all the food was terrible, my chicken was raw, so i sent it back, literally 10 seconds later it came back exactly like it was, so i asked to see the chef, being a chef myself i couldnt wait to hear his explanation, but never saw him, so refused to pay, that was ok with them, but was left feeling empty and annoyyed, anyhow, wont ever go back and i hope u avoid it too, oh also, downsatirs was a seafood restraunt, an they had a lobster tank in the window, blatent these lobsters had been there a while an where stinkin like hell r4ight up to the table we were sittin at, GROSS !!, apart from that place all brill, oh 1 last thing, dont try swimming to island, its very far, doesnt look it , but it is, get a pedleo instead

accommodation and food were excellent.
However recommend that anyone leaving on the late flights to the UK, of which there are about 6 on a Saturday, are careful leaving possessions in the locked case room.  I had a pair of shoes and a parasol stolen, obviously by someone else leaving on one of these flights. I can only hope the heartless female who considered it OK to steal my Kookai shoes, never thinking that someone had actually worked to purchase these, has by now broken her ankle in them as retribution!! 

The system for allowing late departees to shower is also chaotic - we were told to come to reception on the night and that we would be given a room key and towels - sounds simple - when we arrived at reception at 6.30pm, we found out that the hotel, in its wisdom, only allocates one room for this purpose. 6 flights by my rough estimation would equate to over 1,000 people, if everyone chose to shower, how long it would take giving each group a half hour time slot I would not even like to calculate. Most would certainly not make their flights home.  The lady in reception was very, very unhelpful, as were the Thomson reps whose response was, Its The Hotels Policy - well it is obviously one that is in urgent need of change. The room did also not have towels, when we eventually got into it.

Apart from this chaos on the departure evening the rest of our holiday was very enjoyable, the food excellent, cleanliness and room excellent. Would return, but maybe on earier flights!

I would highly recomend this holiday.
The hotel itself was lovely the staff are extreamly helpful and not to mention the food was wonderful.
only thing is if the weather lets you down not much for kids to do. the pool was clean tidy as were the rooms.
I would suggest not going to palma not alot there just clothes and over priced items which could be got in england , your better off going to fantasia crazy golf in palma nova is great fun for all ages.
The water parks are only a short walk away so very good for those hot days great fun best one is western water but if possible go to both.
would highly recomemend highering a peddle boat cheap& good to a tan.

I would say best place to go. 10/10

We booked and paid for our holiday in SEPT. going to REY DON JAIME-SANTA PONSA.
On arrival at this hotel we were told that they did NOT have our booking and the hotel was full (we booked this hotel on good reports from other holidaymakers)
The hotel faxed our documents to THOMAS COOK who eventually apologised for the mix up and after 5 hours waiting offered us the MAJORCA BEACH in MAGALUF

We collected our luggage and set off to the  MAJORCA BEACH.On arrival it was obvious that this hotel was of a poor standard.We were given 2 rooms on the  first floor.The decor was past its sell by date .The balcony was on the same level as the kitchen roof and rubbish from above would land an arms length away.
The food was ok even though it did not vary very much .
Entertainment was mainly for kids with a game of BINGO every night.

WE DID NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL and will never go back.
MAGALUF itself was not our choosing and we would not recommend it to people who like a more select type of holiday.

Just returned from magaluf last week (sept 2005)and had a brilliant time. 

I thought the hotel catered for all age groups. We stayed on a self-catering base and found the facilities in our room suitable. The day time entertainment by thomas cook was enjoyable for all as me and my friends found ourselves joining in with the games as well as the children. 

The hotel is located right by everything is just a 5 minute walk to the bars and clubs and the hotel is right on the beach which is really handy. Lots of really good bars and clubs to go to recomened coyote ugly , walkabout bar , champlins , paddys , and the office bar. i would recomened BCM's to blokes as its always got wet t-shirt competitions which goes abit to far and live lesbion SXX Shows, which i dont really think girls are into and this happens every night but they do play really good music the place is massive and you get loads of free stuff which is fun. went to the steak house for a nice bit of steak but would recomened you go to Tom Browns instead much better and cheaper.

Really good holiday for the young and lively hotel suits all ages.loved to go back but for 2 weeks

When i booked this holiday i booked it on the Thomas Cook Sun savers Deal which meant i booked it 6 month before got it fairly cheap for the first week of sep on half board (£380)including everything transfers e.t.c only catch was we didn't know which hotel we we're in,as it was out of 3 all on the same strip in Magaluf and on the beach. 

Originally i really wanted to be at the sol antillas which was next door cus its a 4*,however i was pleasantly surprised by this hotel out of the 3 it seemed the worse but it had such a great atmosphere,the staff we're very friendly the food was fantastic(so much choice and always really nice) and the rooms we're really spacious and always clean. All i would say that was bad about the hotel is that it needed to be refurbished as it was quite dated and it only has one pool,which meant you needed to get up early to reserve a spot on a sunbed but it was right by the beach anyway so not all was lost.

Magaluf was very nice, the beach was gorgeous and the water was very warm and clean,lots of bars and restaurants would recommend Tom Browns for lunch (very nice)bars we're not bad and P.R's not too pushy! would recommend going to the western water park(walking distance) and the pirate show is very good however they do pack you all in on very small tables which means you cant always see anything!! Overall I was very impressed with Magaluf and would definately return but probably in a higher season so we don't get any rain or thunder cus there's not much to do when the weathers like that!!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone,food excellent,maid service also excellent and hotel staff always approachable and friendly.Setting is perfect for families as hotel is situated on beach front and is to the east of the main clubs and bars areas,although it was occasionally noisy this was not a real problem.

Hotel entertainment,especially the reps shows were also excellent and catered for all ages.My only complaints were the fact that it was lucky dip with the lifts,you had to be in the right place at the right time even if somebody on another floor had called the lift before you,also although we had a five year old with us we were given a room on the 11th floor (top).There are excellent restaurants in town and the old familiar fast food outlets.Before booking any excursions with your holiday company, check prices with the local discount outlets they can be cheaper,sometimes quite a bit cheaper.

Overall this was an excellent holiday and we shall return.

If you decide to go to this hotel and get put in room 16 ask to be moved immediatley, as it is above the air con/generators and the service entrance to the hotel, and is very noisey.

The reps were very unhelpful, so if you have any queries go straight to the management who are extremely helpful.

The entertainment at the hotel is like nothing I have seen before and do not intend to see again.

Food was good, have had better, but then again had worse.  Hotel is kept clean, rooms done everyday.

Pirates show is excellent highly recommended.  If you book with the reps just be warned that you get dragged into 2 bars, whilst on route to show which is only a 5 min walk from the hotel.  Tickets are cheaper at a place over the road from the hotel.

All in all a poor holiday, never had to complaine before, but have about this one.  Could not wait to get home which we eventually did after a nine hour flight delay, which opens a whole new story book, so won't even go there!

We will not be returning to this hotel ever!

Booked this hotel with Thomas Cook as it was advertised as a family hotel. Simply put, it wasn't. Yes the entertainment was fantastic for the kids, and I cant fault that as I have 2 litle ones, the rest of the hotel is a bit of a shambles. The gift shop in the main lobby of this "family hotel" sells hardcore porn playing cards prominently displayed on the counter for the kids to see. When mentioned to the absolutely useless and clueless Thomas Cook salesmen .... err, I mean "reps", all you get is lip service. If you aint buying their excursions, they aint interested in helping you.

The hotel is also filled with groups of 18-25 lads and girls so it is not what it is advertised as. When they put 2 groups of lads on either side of our apartment, I went tocomplain to the reps as they woke my kids up at 0430 partying (and puking) at the top of their lungs. The TC rep (Chris) said to me that wilst yes, Thomas Cook owns the hotel and THEY sell it as a family hotel, they have no control over what another tour operator sells THEIR hotel as, and as such, he could (surprise surprise) offer me no help.

As for the hotel itself, it is very tired. Our room (a 1 bedroom self catering apartment) was adequate, but not much more. The shower/tub, had peeling paint. The walls in the room had GRAFITTI scratched into the wood panelling and all the mattresses needed changing. My back was killing me by the end of the holiday. The hotel staff were quite decent though. The maid on our floor was always their cleaning our room and Francisca in reception is a gem. Too bad I cant say the same about the Thomas Cook reps. The TC entertainment staff was fantastic for families with kids. Cant fault them. The Kids Club is not worth the money. Not bas but not worth the money. The mainline reps though......USELESS!!!

The resort itself was a pleasant surprise to me though. I am an American living in the UK and as such, I had no prior experience with Magalluf. As far as I knew, it was just drunken yobs shagging in the street, but it wasnt. Sure, go up the hill after midnight and you will find that but all in all, the resort was family friendly, quiet and clean. Tom Browns (on the beach) is the best place close to the hotel for families to eat. No single meal will run you more than ?12. I highly reccomend the Salmon Taglieatellie and the Sirloin.

Would I go back to Magalluf? Yes, in a heartbeat. Would I stay at the Majorca Beach, possibly but only if I could not get into the Sol Antillas (next door). Would I book another holiday with Thomas Cook, not in a million years even if you held a gun to my head.

When we arrived at the hotel, our first impression was that the outside of the building didn't seem very updated. However, the reception area seemed very well presented and the staff were helpfull. We'd heard from some of the reviews that the showers were very tiny but we were very lucky as we had a bath and decent sized bathroom and room. We also had a sea view and over looked the pool and Sol Antillas's, which was great! One dissapointment was the pool as it was small, especially for the amount of people who stayed at the hotel. It definatley isn't a place for families as it is very roudy and not so good for couples. 

We went the first two weeks in July and there were alot of young groups that seemed to take control of the pool area. The beach was the best place to go though as there was plenty of space and we bought lilos to lie on rather than paying to hire sunbeds, as we heard they were quite expensive. As for the food at the hotel, the first few days there was a wide range and variety of food, however as we were staying for two weeks, the food did get quite repetitive.One eating place we would definatley recommend is Tom Browns, theres one situated on the beach front and two in the centre. It is English run and the food was great value for money. Also plenty of bars and clubs, BCM is not the place to go unless you are in a BIG group or SINGLE! Plenty of other small clubs around for couples. Make sure you book to go and see Pirates adventure, it was one of the best night's out we had, cost 46 euros each but well worth it.We also recommend Western Water Park, good for all ages.

Overall we had a great holiday and the weather was great, apart from two days where it rained. Would definatley go back to Magaluf but think we would try a different hotel next time.

We had a brilliant time at the Majorca Beach.  Half Board - food was very good but at times repetitive.  When we booked we were told this was a family hotel and no one without children was allowed in!! However if you have also been told this it is a lie and the hotel is slowly being ruined by the groups of 18-30's that are being allowed in.  Excellent entertainments team, excellent resort with loads to do for the family.  

Would definately go back to Magaluf and the hotel if they made it families only again.

On arrival at the Majorca Beach with my grandson the lobby was full of loud young men and women (18 - 25) group.  I chose this hotel because it was advertised as a family hotel and was told that the above age group usually stay in the centre of Magaluf.  Witnessed them being drunk and using bad language in front of children and no one approached them to confront their behaviour.  

The room I was allocated smelt of cigarette smoke and overlooked the busy road and dust bins.  Part of the curtains were hanging off the rail.   On asking the reception staff for a change of room they were not at all helpfull and said I would have to use the room until after the weekend.  Only on approaching a Thomas Cook supervisor was I able to get my room changed.  

The hotel was a great disappointment with regard to the decor and standard of the hotel room.  There was no where to sit comfortably in the room, expect if you sat on the bed with faded bed covers and curtains.  Tiny TV (which you had to pay for) was sat on a stained white plastic table.  I felt the majority of the hotel staff were not that friendly - I asked one member of the bar staff for a plastic cup or paper cup to take a drink of water, he said "No we are not a supermarket", when I said I was a guest of the hotel, he again said No and told me to go to the supermarket.   

The only positive was the location of the hotel near to the beach and the food served in the Restaurant, which was good. I would not class this hotel as a 3 star and would not consider staying at this hotel  again.

Hey there just got back from this holiday today 31st july 2005 had a half board with this one and what a mistake that was, now where do I start lets go on the whole of the hotel 1st,when we arrived you think WOW not bad, when we stepped in thought I was going to collapse the reception area was boiling hot and everyones rooms were mixed up that created a huge problem,anyway got to our room cant complain stayed at the 6th floor top part of the other side of the hotel which had a whole sea view and a lovely view of the hotel opposite 'sol Antillas'<--(gorgeous hotel) anyway the room was boiling and when i rang reception they said air conditioning is on at specific times e.g 19hrs-00hrs then the whole night struggle as theres no air outside and found that even sleeping on the balcony didnt help,got attacked by the mosquitos whilst doing that, when I complained to the Thomas Cook reps they were NOT interested fobbed me off totally which was totally out of order!!

SWIMMING POOL: Well forget it you NEVER get this as this is for the SAME old people who wake up early hours of the morning to put their towels down who dont even use the pool but leave them there for the sake of it, the pool itself is TINY not enough for the amount of people there and plus theres NO lifeguard there too. I walked past this pool several times and yesterday upon leaving overheard people complaining that somebody had done the doings in the pool. What we found was by walking across the beach we used the 'SOL ANTILLAS' hotels swimming pool they had about 5pools all with a lifeguard and enough for others to use, and the swimming pools were heated too which was great!!

FOOD- The food is like SCHOOL DINNERS, lots of selection to eat NOT HEALTHY, best bet is to do SELF CATERING here as you get a fridge and kitchenette, and not need to pay 49euros 4the week to hire a tiny fridge for 2cans of coke,plus theres LOTS of restaurants nearby too!!!! Plus in the canteen you have to pay for ALL DRINKS with halfboard EVEN water!!!!!!!!!!

SHOWER-If your unlucky like us and almost 90% of people who ALSO complained about this then ud be lucky to even get in it, u have this shower curtain which sticks to you and the water is leaking eveywhere as the shower is tiny and therfore our room flooded so all our towels given were used to mop up our floor and the same for the others! Also Thomas cook didnt care about that they said they couldnt do anything (what a surprise)..

ENTERTAINMENT- This hotels entertainment isnt for couples or young people its more for families with children which is a shame so I found also by going to 'SOL ANTILLAS' their entertainment was great all sorts for everybody there.

HOTEL ROOMS: They are small and being a couple all they did was push up TWO beds together and found that we were falling through the gap and they need NEW mattresses too and AIR CONDITIONING that works night time!! Theres a safe which you have to pay for and a tv which if you have a SANYO remote control take it with you,you can watch tv for free....

apart from that had a great hotel thanks to 'SOL ANTILLAS' if i had a choice id NEVER EVER GO TO THE MAJORCA BEACH HOTEL EVER AGAIN... ID GO TO ANY SOL HOTEL THEY ARE FABBBBBBB

After enjoying a great holiday here when we were single we thought we would try a family holiday at this resort even though our friends thought it would be too rowdy for our 3 year old but we found it to be a lot more family orientated than our last visit 10 years ago.

Most of the noisy nightlife is in one area, Punta Ballena, and didnt get going until after midnight. We booked this hotel due to the excellent reviews it received on this site and we were not disappointed.  The location, right on the beach, is superb, we were not fortunate enough to get a room with a sea view but the room we had was very clean and spacious.  

The hotel staff and reps were excellent, the food was very good although became a little repetitive by the second week, I think the chef tries to please everyone! It is cheap to eat in the resort if you fancy a change.  The public areas inside the hotel are looking a little worn, (also the lift was a bit temperamental at times) but the outside areas were very well kept and clean. The childrens pool was shaded by pine trees which is great for the kids but not for sunbathing, the larger pool was also clean and well kept.  

The childrens facilities were great and the reps worked extremely hard to entertain the children but there is no kids club for under 5's.  Overall the hotel was excellent, but we were surprised that there were quite a lot more 18-30's staying at the hotel than we expected, although we didn't experience any problems with noise, for example, some families did. We both celebrated our birthdays while we were there and the hotel left a bottle of champagne and a card in our room which was a lovely surprise. 

The beach was fantastic, one of the best we have been to in Majorca, and the weather a fabulous but very hot 39 degrees on most days.  For great places to eat we found Crusoes on the beach to have the best setting, and fab food and Tom Browns very good value for money. The best family entertainment was in the square outside the BCM club, free shows every night from hypnotists to Hawaiian dancers, and free kid's face painting. 

If you go to this resort, you need to bear in mind that it is full of 18-30's; if you are looking for a quiet family holiday then don't book here but don't be put off by its reputation, we would not hesitate to return to either the hotel or the resort in the future.

this was our 3rd visit to the hotel and what a difference 2 year has made. We don't know what Thomas Cook has done but the hotel is full of loud ignorant yobs we spoke to 8 family who were complaining about the loud music and partying nearly all night security were up and down the corridors every night Take away rubbish littered the lifts god knows what the staff thought about british youth this is not a family hotel now or at least this year maybe Cook will see sense and revert back to form.

we wont be back until it goes back to super family staus be careful before booking with a family the hotel has been ruined

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

I'll start with the hotel.  It looks as though it was built 60 years ago and they have'nt spent a penny on it since.  There were huge cracks on the walls, plaster falling off the walls.  Rooms are very small and there is no way 4 people would fit in a SC apartment.  At night, the hotel became a free for all for all the White Trash from Britan.  The hotel did'nt seem to have any security and there were guys urinating into the swimming pool, off their balconies.  The noise went on through the night untill 6.30am.  In the morning, the place looked like a bomb had hit it and this was night after night. I was so glad a did'nt have a family with me.  This is not a family hotel!!!!

 If your idea of heaven is every bar showing Only fools and Horses 24hrs aday and advertising the fact they sell "Chicken and chips" then your in luck. If you love being surrounded by British on the beach that leave all there rubbish on the beach to float into the sea, then your in more luck.

i stayed in this hotel in june and the hotel was lovely food was fab!!!!! also they have there own little private beach its fantastic. the hotel is good location good for night time yet quite enough to get sleep. i would recommend this for families or couples the pool area is nice also for people who like to snack they have a little market in the hotel its great overall it was a good holiday and i would go back again thomas cook reps were also fab too.

Well - where do I start.  If you are booked into this hotel I hope for your sake you are 18-25 as this is the average age of everyone staying here.  It is certainly not the family hotel we asked for.  It is shabby,and in desperate need of re-decoration.  

One of the most entertaining things is watching the toilet rolls being thrown over the balconies each night accompanied by shouting and screaming until all hours.  

We will never come back here and are sorry we ever did.

This was our 2nd time to the Majorca Beach. The 1st time the weather was awful but the entertainments team worked so hard to make our holiday enjoyable, and it was.  This time we had high expectations but wondered whether it would still live up to our expectations.  It did!! 

When we arrived there was a problem with our rooms as we had been allocated two rooms on different floors, which wasn't acceptable for us with having children. Reception worked really hard to change our rooms so that we were together. 

We went Half Board, the restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. The food can get a bit repetative but is well presented and of excellent quality. We were there for 2 weeks so went out to eat occasionally. You can get a full breakfast at Rambo's for under 3 euros and the staff are very friendly. 

The entertainments team were fantastic, they worked so hard and dragged us up on stage every night. The kids loved it too. Just one thing to note for families with young children, the main pool is very deep and although there is a smaller pool for children, it is quite shaded so can be quite cold. 

The location of the hotel is right on the beach where there is lots to do and boat trips on offer. Don't miss the glass-bottomed boat or the Attraction Catamaran, both provide a good day out. Magalluf has lots of bars, restaurants and shops and there are plenty of bargains to be had. Plenty of Duty Free goods at amazing prices.
Jose is a waiter in the bar in the evenings and he is so friendly and attentive and he is fantastic with the children - be sure to say hello to him.

Will we go again? - ABSOLUTELY

the hotel is a joke for the price we paid (£380 each). the room that we had on the ground floor was very basic as it only consisted fo 2 beds, a bathroom, a table, wardrobe and 3 pictures. when we arrived we discorvered the toilet didnt work, howver it wasnt fixed until a day later after i complained twice. the receptionist is rather stict but can be really helpful. the reps are also very helful and also very friendly. the food was the worse ive seen in a hotel, very basic, same every day and uncooked on some of the meats.

a holiday is what you make of it, so we had a great time clubbing til 4-5 in the mornin, especially as the security guard couldnt care that we were in the pool drunk a 4am!!!. the hotel is mainly for 18-30's though i wont be returning to this hotel.

the resort is excellent, top clubs, cheap drinks, but be careful of the pr*stitues in the street as they apparently steal your money. would defintely return to magaluf again though.

The hotel staff were amazing and me and my husband had great fun the kids found the nightlife great.We were self catering the shop wasnt to far away and the local restraunts were nice too. if your not to fusy which we arent. the pools were great sunbeds were in great supply and air-conditioning in august was a must have. the apartments are spacious we didnt spend to much time in the apartment although my husband did. 

we would definetley go back a great holiday for everyone.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

The people who worked at the reception was very welcoming and got along well with the kids. Our room was nice and spacious. We had a tiny tv, which you could only get one channel on it, and that was a news channel which was in spanish. NOT VERY HELPFUL! But it wasn't that bad because you hardly had time to watch the tv anyway.

The entertainment was excellent and all the holiday reps were pleasent, friendly and a great laugh. I recomend the Thomas cook reps night out - You can drink as much as you want and has seperate entertainment for youngr kids.
For days out - Western water theme park, marine centre and taking coach trips to other sides of the island are ideal for all the family.

Places to eat - Tom Browns are great for all the family, it sells english food and the owners are from Manchester. The waiters and waitress are always there to help and are really friendly. There are 3 restuarants that they own in Magaluf - a sports bar, an internet cafe and a restuarant which you can have a game of mini golf. Robin Hood pub is also good place, with cheap food. Lady Tavern does the best deserts.

The hotel is situated on the beach, which is fantastic and you can do a lot of water sports. The only problem we found on the beach is that jellyfish were often in the shallow bits of the water and one lady actually got stung by one. There was a doctors surgery situated below the hotel which was fantastic.

We are looking forward to our next holiday there and its definitly a place to go if you got kids to think of.

never been to magaluf before and to be honest it was quiet because we went in october but it was brilliant. the hotel was lovely but i agree with the comment about the shower in the rooms ( tiny is an under statement ). 

food was lovely and staff were really friendly. big hello to alison ( owns funky monkeys ) she looks like melinda messenger. and to ben who works at pokalokos (sorry cant spell) i hated the pr's but he was lovely. 

would def go back again.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

Wanted a nice quite break and this is exactly what we got, the resort was reasonably quite as it was September but plenty to do, we booked flights and hotel separately which made it cheaper (would recommend), got taxi from hotel and there is a taxi rank directly opposite the hotel.

When we arrived at hotel it was late at night and took a while to check in, as the man on reception was very incompetent and pretended he couldn’t speak English! But the room was lovely. I don’t expect this man is still there as everyone complained about him, but the rest of the staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble.

We hired a fridge, which was well worth it kept all our drinks nice and cool!! Our room was lovely and spacious and even had a Hair Dryer in the bathroom!!

The hotel is above a doctor’s surgery, which is handy, and there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel, the bus service is very efficient and cheap, great if you want to go to Palma for the day, which is well worth a visit!

We found that the supermarket prices varied greatly the further you walk the cheaper they get!! There is one opposite the hotel called Bunnys and is one of the most expensive (absolute rip off!!).

Anyway the Hotel is excellent only let down is the pool (old square shaped), great for everyone especially families, located in an excellent position directly on the beach (for more hotel details look on Iberostar website), excellent staff and entertainment team all very good with the children, and now the best part the FOOD, 10/10 Majorca beach for the food, I was concerned when I booked because my sister is vegetarian but I had nothing to worry about, the best vegetarian selection I have seen at any hotel (they have a special vegetarian area and a special children’s area). 

All in all we had a great holiday and will defiantly return an EXCELLENT HOTEL don’t hesitate to book you will have a great time.

Hotel is in a great postion on the beach.
This hotel is great for last minute deals and nothing else, the rooms were only cleaned (quick wipe over).
The pool area was very small. The pool itself always looked dirty.
Entertainment was ok for children. Lifts broke down everyday and are very small.

The resort is very good for everthing including food,bars and entertainment (Tom Browns)

Beach is superb and beds are cheap per day.
Would go back to the resort but NOT the hotel.

second time to this hotel, absolutely brillaint.
The location of this hotel is right on the beach, away from the busy strip of magaluf.
the kids clubs are fab, all prebooked before we arrived so your not messing about when you get there. 
Go to robinson crusoe's for meals - excellant!!
Mambo's for frozen cocktails!!!!!
entertainment at the hotel different show on every night, the entertainment team at the hotel were all brilliant, don't know where they get there energy from all day and night keeping everyone entertained.

The apartments are very clean and spacious, with big balconies overlooking the pool and the sea. The food in the hotel is excellent, loads of choice of meals salads and puddings, good kids range of meals to.
booked at first choice in blackpool, got a really good deal with brilliant service, the girls are ace, will defo be going back in there to book the same holiday for next year.    Say Hi to Jose on the beach bar!!!!!!!!!!

As a couple booking a last minute deal we very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel! 

I myself work for on reception for a hilton hotel here in London! Upon arrival the hotel looks very nice from the outside, we then made our way into the hotel to check ourselves in, staff was very friendly and very quick!

Our room was 303 which was on the third floor! Our room was very samll and the shower was extremely tiny!! very small in deed, every time we had a shower our bathroom was flooded and the shower curtain would stick to ur body!! Im not a large lady but anyone bigger then myself would prob has difficulty in having a shower!! we laughed this problem off as we had never seen such a small shower before! and at the end of the day the  maid would clean up the bathroom the next day! our room over looked the pool and beach so we were lucky at that, as others looked over the main road! not so pretty!! 

We then went down for dinner, which we found to be very well presented and an excellent choice! there was soup to start, a salad bar, kids bar and main meal bar! then also and excellent choice for desert! a waiter comes round to offer u a drink but coca colas wew only about 1.20 euros! and an excellent choice for breakfast! lots of fruit, a good selection for ur fry up and even chicken nuggetts!!! not sure why?! also a great selection of crossiants, breads, toast etc and free tea coffee orange etc! 

Entertainment was good, a bit silly but it done the job! Bingo every night which u could win around 350 Euros! hotel is directly on the beach and we tended to go for the sunbeds on the beach rather then the hotels as the were nearer to the water and only 2.50 euro for the day! we purcashed a few excursions from the reps, Pirates which was fantastic! well worth the money! the Attraction catamaran which gave us a great tan and good views of the Island and we went to the Western water park which was excellent most people said it was the better of the two water parks! Lots to do even if u dont like water slides! 

Would def recommend this hotel!! very nice very friendly! we talked to many people in the hotel and made great friends! another couple we met had a son of 3 years! we had a look at their room to find there bathroom was twice the size of ours and they were only accross the hall way! in 312 thou they were jelous of our view! In the  end we had a great holiday and we love Magaluf! Food in Tom browns was excellent and we also had a chineese from the place next door to tom browns on the beac front! for only 3 euros for a dish of ur choice with rice! dont be put off by how cheap it is! it was very yummy!

Def would visit hotel again! excellent last minute hotel!

Just returned from cheap week away at majorca beach hotel magaluf.

Hotel very good,clean ,friendly staff especially hotel barman manalo. Food was very good and rooms had air con and were kepy very clean daily. Did't watch any entertainment in hotel but people we spoke to said it was pretty good.Before you go to hotel if u have access to the internet got to the " iberostar " website and choose the hotel and you can do a virtual tour and see exactly what the hotel is like. There is a shop in the reception area that sells everything u could want or need and plevty of vending machines for drinks... even a beer one !! 60 cents for a can of san miguel!

!Beach is good but costs 7.5 euros for 2 beds with parasol for the day which the reps don't tell you about also do NOT buy drinks off the sellers with buckets on the beach they will rip your a*e out...some poor kid got stung 9 euros for a can of beer ( 60 cents in shops )

Nightlife........
the hotel is just off the main strip so you Can get away from it and have the option which is good as we only wanted a " quiet " break...ha ha until u get sucked in by the atmosphere.

Did'nt do any clubs but i suppose BCM is the place to go ( we did'nt) and funky monkeys and bannanas.
If like me though you are into DECENT music ( funky house etc ) and quite cool surroundings then there is a bar not quite on the main strip but only a very short walk from the main drag called.....
MAMBOS. It's the kind of place you go for a few hours before you go clubbing or the kind of place you can stay for the NIGHT and enjoy some banging tunes new an old.2 great lads in there will make sure you have a laugh and always have good deals on drinks & coctails etc ( make sure you have a " WHIZZBOOKA " shot if you go )
we went pretty much most nights and if like me you've been clubbing since 1991 - now then DON'T give this place a miss.....ask anyone on the strip directions to it and you will not be dissapointed. Shane the owner and Daz who works there will also be there to tell you where is good to go.

hi,me and my friend have just got back from a fab holiday in magaluf,we stayed at the majorca beach hotel we had only booked it 4 weeks before we went,we got a bargain the view was amazing we were on the 2nd highest floor room 1007 we had a view of the beach,pool and the island,the room was huge nice and clean to,the clubs were great only bout 10 min walk,beware of PR's. 

The weather wasent good it rained for 4 days we were only there a week,i would def recomend these apartments they were GREAT.

This hotel is excellent and exceeded all our expectations. 

It is located right on the beach, if you want the nightlife in magalluf it is only a short 10 min walk to all the bars/disco's/nightclubs etc, however if you want to be away from all of that this hotel is ideal. The hotel room was very large and the food was excellent. There was so much to chosse from each evening we were spoilt for choice. The hotel staff were very helfpul and the Thomas Cooks rep Ben was brilliant, he helped us with a problem and we hadnt even booked with Thomas Cook.

If you are a drinker the prices vary, so look around, however there are many cheap places to drink, obviously the strip is more expensive but you expect that and go there later!! Mano's bar is worth a visit I would have to say they are the most friendly on the resort, you can get a card to collect stickers each time you buy a drink and get a free t-shirt or baseball cap when it is full.

This hotel is rated as a three star but I would say it is better that some 4 star hotels i have stayed at, we will definatley return.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

I came back today and could not be more eager to write about this place! For me and my mate Magaluf lived up to its reputation, and I didn't want to come back. First the accomodation...great! No complaints, the food was gorgeous and the staff were very helpful. Theres a shop for your convenience, and the hotel is located right on the beach. There are sunbeds for use of the hotel guests only too which is a nice touch, although the sand was alright for me!! This place is perfect foe everyone...singles, couples and definatley families, as its five mins away from main strip and nightlife it was spot on!!

As many young people do, we went to Magaluf for the nightlife, which again was just amazing. BCM was great. We always forund 'our' promoter who gave all ladies discount tickets. This meant we paid 12euros to get in with an all inclusive bar, so thats about £8!!! Total bargain! Also if you went paid and got your stamp before 12 you were given a load of free gifts, so I wasn't complaining! T-shirts, rucksacks, footballs, thongs... you name it I got it free!!!

We were told also on our first night that BCM have now opened a bar halfway up the strip which opened at 9pm, i(f you go out that early), so again you can pay, get your stamp, drink as much as you want then head to the main club later, wants you've paid thats it.

The strip and other bars are all wicked too, however the promoters will not take no for an answer and after while it can get to you, head down, just keep walking!! We never got home until about 5am/6am, and for all those clubbers out there you'll be pleased to know theres a mcdonalds and KFC for those drunken munchy cravings.

We didn't go on any excursions, but our main aim for the holiday was to party and relax on the beach. However, some people we met over there went to the adults pirates show and said it was an absolutely amazing night. It was expensive but totally worth it apparently, this too along with the water park is not far at all from resort.

I really could not praise this holiday up enough, I was a bit anxious as I booked it through teletext but to be honest it was probably one of the best holidays I've been on. Two of us went but it never seemed like it, I met so many people over there and i was very sad to leave. Magaluf is just amazing, If me and my mates were going away again it would be my first choice. Without a shadow of a doubt, I WILL be back again...

We have just returned from a fabulous week's holiday at this great hotel. 

Ideally situated at the quiet end of Magaluf, we asked for a quiet room on a low floor due to having a five year old, and this is what we got. The room had air conditioning which was great as the nights were getting hotter and you could sleep with the balcony door shut. The room had a TV and I would also recommend a universal TV remote as the hotel charge for a remote per week. 

The food was very good and the waiters cleaned the tables straight away. Plenty of choice for the kids. The Kids Club was great and for a few Euro's extra, they took the kids out for an evening giving us three hours of peace!! When we arrived there were plenty of sun loungers as it was the first week of June but started to get busier towards the end of the week and a little rowdier in Magaluf, possibly due to the football. Would recommend Benny Hill's Disco Pub on the strip for the kids and Tom Brown's and the Happy House on the beach front for eating during the day. Marineland was excellent as was Pirates which is a must for all the family. We were lucky as our son was chosen to go on stage for a game with the Pirates. The Britannia Jet boat trip was good, however, not much to see in Camp de Mar where the trip stops and not much time for a swim.

We will be booking again for the same time next year and would recommend this hotel. The hotel staff are great, especially Jose the waiter/barman. Evening entertainment not brilliant but there's plenty going on outside the hotel.

The Majorca Beach is in a great position as it has direct access to the beach. it is close enough to the resort centre whilst not being on top of the main nightlife.
We had an apartment on the 11th floor with fantastic views over the bay of Magaluf which was lovely!
The hotel caters very well for families and has day time activities around the pool, so if you are thinking of partying all night and sleeping all day - forget it! The daytime entertainment will keep you awake!!
Overall a great holiday in a great location.
I will definetly be returning!!

We have just got back from a great holiday,there is nothing you could fault with this hotel it has everything.
We went half board for 1 week the food was outstanding there was so much choice for everyone, even vegeterian's

There's a little shop in reception where you can change your money or purchase a snack , there's vending machine's to purchase bottled water or beer.
The location was directly on top of the beach ,there's two swimming pool's and entertainment going on during the day around the pool's.
The bustling nitelife is really close at hand and it's not just for the young! you'll be fasinated by the man whose dressed up as a statue, really clever.

There's plenty of great excurtions too a must was PIRATES a brill show for all the family, also WESTERN WATER PARK is a good day out MARINELAND was great you get to see the dolphins/sea-lions show so don't forget the camcorder!!!!

The room's are spotless and there is maid service every day ,with fresh towels.
We would definetly go back,but for 2 weeks so don't take any notice of the bad reports on here as you will love it and i'd be the first person to print otherwise!!! enjoy.

The hotel suited us fine,its situated at the end of the bay but,only five minutes from the nightlife.Plenty of great places to eat out along the beach road.The Reps do a sterling job with the entertainment for both adults and kids, all the staff were very helpful. Great hotel rule of not claiming sunbeds until 8ish,if you're earlier your towel is taken away. Small problem with the main pool the depth is quite deep six feet all over. I recomend the public transport to get around both cheap and on time. I must say Magaluf has cleaned its act up its not like ten yaers ago. 

A great family resort and a great holiday.

Have just got back from a week. After booking the holiday we were a little worried about the reputation of the location but needn't have been. The holiday was fantastic. The weather was great so there was no need for expensive excursions. However there was loads to keep the children occupied. Ours are a little to old for the Kids Clubs but the hotel reps were great fun and there were plenty of activities throughout the day.

The beach and bay are superb. Very safe for the children.

The hotel food and choice was the best we've seen. There are not as many facilities as some (the swimming pool is the old uninspiring rectangular shape - but not a major concern with the beach so near) but clean and everything works.

We would not hesitate to go back to the resort or hotel. Will probably go self catering as things seem to be so much cheaper and you can eat out quite affordably. Would recommend Tom Browns and Happy House (they're next to each other on the promenade).

If you can, take a travel kettle (teas and coffees not provided for evening meal, you have to go to the bar and buy one after) and a universal TV remote control (the hotel charges for the week).

The hotel is clean and tidy situated on the beach which is lovely and clean.We went half board and the choice of food was excellent not a bad comment about any of the food they even had a childrens buffet section.Room could have been bigger buthey you only wash and sleep there dont you.I would recommend Benny Hill pub for all round entertainment especially for the kids our 6 year old loved it.Not one bad comment to say about food,accommodation and location would definately go back next time for 2 weeks instead of 1.

First time to Majorca,very impressed.  Hotel great,rooms large very clean with excellent views of the beach.Food plenty of it but very repetative,chicken/turkey,pork+fish curried roast or whatever else could be done to sound as if a different dish thus we ate out most nights.

Weather,5 days of rain,wind thunder + lightening,2 days sun but we loved our time in Magaluf + the Hotel.The Thomas Cook staff were "Fantabulous",we had no kiddies with us but what we saw of the reps in charge of the kiddies club they were the best we have seen at any hotel we have stayed.We hope to visit this hotel again in the near future but s/catering next time.

The Majorca beach is a total nightmare, it smells of bad drains, it allows groups of all male and all female s*xes, which basically makes it an 18s/30s, totally roudy holiday we got no peace at all. If it wasnt drunks puking up everywhere it was youths having s*x on balconies, please beware it aint for families anymore, thomas cook are totally ignorant when we tried to complain too them.

Highly recommend this hotel as it was brilliant! The evening and daytime entertainment was very good suitable for all ages. The food was also excellent with a different range every night plus the usual favourites such as ice-cream,chips and burgers.

Spent most nights at 'The White Horse' Bar across the road from the hotel as the drinks were cheap (2 pints for 2.99 Euros!!), the waiters were very friendly(especially Hosè who never stopped all night serving drinks, having a chat and a laugh!), air-conditioning inside or you could sit outside and watch people walking to the BCM clubs around the corner.

The maids were brilliant and always stopped to talk in the morning they did a great job of cleaning the rooms too. The receptionists were always ready to help with changing or exchanging money, matches, postcards and information.There are no words to describe Anges on the door to the dinning room she always said 'hello' and helped out anyway she could.

We also went on the tour around the hotel seeing the freezers and kitchens etc couldn't believe how calm the chefs were 2 hours before dinner!!

Definately recommend the Western Water Park as there is something for everyone and plenty of places to eat and shows to watch (about half an hour walking distance from hotel).

The Western Encounter was very good too. First you get on a coach, have a quick break, then onto a half an hour boat ride, hour for lunch, back onto coach for a while, then onto wooden train finally getting back onto coach, all while seeing the sights with a guide.

Fantasia golf: 54 holes of miniture golf at nights (or day)really takes it out of you the next day but absolutely brilliant although do watch out for the water!

Finally, the pools (1 saltwater, 1 kiddies' and 1 chlorine). Make sure you are down beside the pool with your towels reserving your space at least at half past eight as the sunbeds are unchained at nine sharp and there is a rush for sunbeds.

Will definately go back to this hotel as there was everything you wanted right at your doorstep!!

Now that ther are cheap flights for the weekends, do what we did and get away for a few days.
Good Hotel and food, Best to eat in Maxims restaurant - ask for Tony he will do anything you want with a bit of notice.
Drink in the Plaza Bar A bit more expensive than other bars - but that keps the riff-raff out!
A day trip to Palma City is a must - it is like a mini Barcelona!

The resort is absolutely brilliant!  I've never had a better time, going out everynight up the strip!

BCM was a bit of a let down not at all what I expected, I wouldn't even say it was worth the 20 euros to pay and get freebies because theres so many other bars to go to right through to the morning!

PRs were pretty annoying as well it took us like an hour to get to 1 bar due to all PRs for BCM!

As for the appartments they are pretty basic but I guess your hardly in them there good enough to sleep in and the balconys fab!

I wouldn't bother with the pool we were at the beach all time.  The reps are really good and helpful as soon as we arrived in the early hours of the morning they were there to help and show us what to do, we only went on the bar crawl with the reps to see were to go, that was good apart from getting roped into games such as 'the body tequila'.

Well how do i start!, the magaluf playa is the biggest dive ever!, 

when we arrived in the early hours of saturday morning and finally got to our rooms, we were horrified to find that it was still DIRTY from the previous holiday makers! there were dirty wet towls on the bathroom floor,used glasses in the livingroom, and sick and spit all over the balcony! NICE!!!!!!... the pool area was just as bad, there is hardly room to swing a cat!, n the pool was littered with shoes cups etc....

The reps were fantastic tho and really did try to make our holiday as gud as they cud!!
The beach was wonderful, very clean with plenty of sun beds... the only thing to keep an eye out for is the men/women that are selling the fruit and drinks!, be warned they will try to rip u off, i wanted a piece of melon and they tried to charge me 7 euros! i managed t get her down to 5! which is til a rip off, also they charge upto 15 euros for a can of coke! so make sure you just tell them to go away.

The nite life was fantasic tho, with BCM charging only 15 euros(for women) and 18 for men, this includes loadsa freebies, entry into all the venues and your drinks free all nite! i thote that wa fairly good, and its the best club in magaluf by far!....
pirates is another fantastic nite! probally the best on the island! a definate must see!...
so to sum magaluf up, its fantastic very lively and the beach is fab, jus DO NOT STAY AT THE MAGALUF PLAYA!!!!!!!!!!!

just arrived back from martinique which was our very cheap holiday.

the rooms were clean but worn a little but made no difference.got lucky and had 10 days of sunshine in the 80,s.not what we expected for oct we took our winter woolies for the evening but went out in strappy tops. the youngster season had finished more or less when we got there so fairly quite would not recommend these apartments in july and aug if your taking your family as very noisy i beleive.the facilities were excellent as still entertainment in the day and evening.

the pool was nice but the indoor even better as my 6 yr old nephew was in it 7 hours a day. there was a 5 aside football pitch for the kids which they played at the hotest time of the day, a tennis court crazy golf,table tennis pool tables and a few games machines.a great time was had by all of us as the kids hardley bothered us and we were able to relax.

eating out was a bit of a bind as they sell the same stuff in each restaurant but cooked differently.tom browns was always busy the food we had wasnt bad but you wouldnt have the same meal again.best breakfast and lamb roast at the lady tavern.dreams breakfast not bad either at 1 euro 90.went to mcdonalds.pizza hut and kentucky none of it was too bad.my husband brother in law and nephew went to the indian and that was good. drinks and meals fairly cheap but not as good as before the euro.not so many ticket touts either 

all in all it was a cheap holiday and better than we ever expected would go to martinique again but not sure if we will be as lucky with the weather next time.

just returned from the martinique apartments and the weather was fantastic, the beach was fab just beware when you go into the sea as it can dip suddenly. for breakfast and luch we went to tom browns on the beach which was fantastic! prices were reasonable and they had a huge choice even for us fussy eaters. you can even colour pictures in whilst you are waiting and have them displayed on the wall.

the apartments were very clean we did'nt go to the pool as we preferred the beach which was only 2 mins away. there was a supermarket on site which was very useful and there is a few shops and bars around about inc a cash machine. its near enough to bars to walk too but far enough away so yr not disturbed by the noise. as it was off season when we went there were quite a few families in the apartments but i imagine in the summer its mainly filled with groups of young ones.

the pirate show is fantastic it was 35 euros and we paid a futher 9 euros to get seats nr front and some champagne. you do pay extra if u want sword and bandanna though which are an addtional 5 euros each.

we went to mulligan's bar which was fab and played excellent music lennons was also good. car wash is another good one but watch out for false teeth on the dance floor! there are loads of touts though and they will try and get u in the bars some of whom won't take no for an answer one actually carried dawn in to the bar!

we would def go back to magaluf and the martinuque but def in the low season again rather than july/august as it would be far too busy then. it appears that rambo the security guard does'nt work in low season as we did try to hunt him out to no avail no matter how much we shouted rambo! he must just work in busier times.

Just returned from Magaluf couple of weeks ago, stayed at the Martinique.  Dont stay there if you like a good nights kip!  Although in our forties, we are still young at heart and loved the nightlife, but we still wanted some peace and quiet once we did get into bed.  Loads of gangs of lads whilst we were there who thought partying on the balconies in the early hours was great fun. 

The apartments themselves were very clean (three times per week the maid comes in) We didnt hear of any trouble regarding thefts or anything but we hired the safe for our valuables just in case.  I would strongly recomment you hire a fan cos at night you wont be able to sleep without it. We just left it running practically all the time.

We found the majority of the nightlife catered for the young 17 to 25 yr olds but there is still plenty out there if you enjoy a lively night out without feeling like a dinosaur!  Our favourite bar was Juniors, which is good twenty min walk from the hotel but is very popular with the local spanish people and the salsa music and atmosphere is fantastic. (The young PR outside from Lanacashire was a loveable rogue)  We ate out every night and the best ones we found were the Blue Bar, which is in Terra Nova (walk along the beach til you cant go no further, up some VERY steep steps and its just along from there)  Also near by, the Mexican restaurant which was superb.  Robinson Crusoes (right on the beach) was a great bar to either just drink or eat and the staff were great and very friendly.

As for the trips the rep try to sell you.  Pirates: YES without a doubt. fantastic night out.  Caves of Drach: AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! we were picked up at 8.30am and SEVEN hours later we arrived at the caves where we stayed for just over 45 mins. We were very annoyed cos they take you to the jewelry factory, the pearl factory, etc etc.  a complete rip off. Take the bus to Porto Cristo and pay at the door.  Catamaran Cruise:  Definitley do this if you fancy a day of total chilling out and a great tan. we loved it.

I wouldnt go back to Magaluf again as it was a tad tacky overall (blackpool with the sun)and far too english.

Just got back from a great week at the martinique apartments. we were very impressed with the rooms as they were nice and clean and spacious. though our view was pretty bad the rest made up for it. the pool a nice size and the food at the pool side was ok. if your thinking of taking your family here with small children or your nan, think again! you wont get much sleep. it's possibly the noisest hotel in magaluf.

Though beware you might experience some funny phone calls in the middle of the night which freaked us out as they was quite rude. dont worry if you are girls, cause theres about 10 blokes to 1 girl. Especially if you was as lucky as us, we was surrounded by 32 men who was on a stag do for 3 days. the laughs we had (hello to all the n*b heads especially jay and ryan)

we was about a 15 mins walk form the strip so take plenty of comfy shoes that wont hurt you.
eating out was nice especially the ness bar which was along the beach.

overall weve really enjoyed our holiday and concidering there was two of us we never felt alone.

Given that this website was a great help before we booked our holiday I thought I'd return the favour. 

The Martinique proved to be as good if not better than we could expect from 3* self-catering accomodation. There's no oven but that was about all we found lacking and we didn't feel the need to cook in the room more than once anyway. Get a safety deposit box, it's a small price to pay. And don't worry if you're still in bed when the cleaners come, they'll clean around you or come back later and give you clean towels every couple of days.

Going in September, the nights were hot but we didn't feel enough need for a fan and just left the balcony doors open (which wasn't much of a problem on the fifth floor). We didn't get any problems with noise and didn't bump into the infamous Baseball bat weilding security guard once! The pool is great and there's generally always cool music being played there which gives it a nice atmosphere.

Don't bother using the attached supermarket because you get ripped off and you can find all the same stuff in the spar just around the corner.

Food-wise in Magaluf, if you want standard English food then you've got it made but if you don't then you have to search a bit. I would recommend the Magaluf Chinese at the roundabout near the bottom of the strip for good value and nice food! Also the pizzeria near the Britannia pub is pretty good but don't let them sting you for bread before the meal! Snoopy's bar, the Balmoral and Willy's bar were all great for lunch.

The beach is great, safe and clean. You have to pay ?2.50 to hire a sunlonger for a day if you want one but we just laid out towels on the sand where there was loads of space anyway. Western Water Park is also good...some tasty lifeguards! Pirates is wicked too...ahem....

As for nightlife...if you're a group of young people who like having a laugh then go to magaluf. Going in September I think it was probably better for us students avoiding all the schoolkids! The PRs are really annoying when you first go out but just be polite and listen to them for a bit and you'll soon miss being accosted and offered free shots (usually fruit juice!) and cocktails. 

Most of the bars on the strip look pretty much the same and it all depends on who's in there and what they're doing. They're all good really. Just go with an open mind and you'll have such a laugh. BCM, we thought was worth it for e20 all inclusive although we were told that was being banned in 2005. Amazing fittie dancers and wicked music...even blazin' squad couldn't spoil it! We wne t back the next night to the foam party...just a word of advice, don't stand under the machine and get a mask! We ended up suffocating and wretching our guts out. Still a good night tho!

Just one more thing....go to Palma for a day!!! We went mid-week and it was such a nice recovery day. The cathedral's amazing (e3.50 to get in) and wondering round the city is really nice. Lots of funky trinket shops that you don't really get in Magaluf. The bus in was modern and comfy (if you get a seat) and took 45mins. It runs until 10pm or so. They're pretty regular all day.

We had the funniest week, I got back and got ill. I wouldn't advise trying to go to work after you get back!

The resort is ideal if you are looking for a party/drink based holiday.  The apartments were good, the room sizes were fine for 3 people.

The resort starts to get livley around 11pm for the bars etc.  when walking down the main strip you will get reps for bars, trying to get you in .  This is good if you play your cards right, don't be afraid to ask them what free drinks they will give you.  It works better the bigger the group.  

The best club we did was BCM planet dance, its only 20euros to get in.  But this uncludes free bar which includes all local spirits.  BCM also gets named DJs playing, the week we were there it was simon from blue(missed this one) DJ sammy plus others.  The pirates show is really good.  The cost to get in is 47 euros.  You need to book the show stright away because they were turning people away on the door.  The show is worth seeing,  the food at the show was fine,  but the only free drink you get is sangria.  If there is a popcorn party at any of the clubs, go.  It is like a foam party but with popcorn being used.

There are loads of places to eat.  Dreams pub does a fry up for 1.90euros,  really good food for the money.  Also Tom Browns does good food for a good price.

Well what can I say ? I have been to Magaluf 6 times and this has been the worse of the lot. The place is the best on earth for clubs and food etc, but this hotel was a joke.

Great pool, great staff, good entertainment but no sleep! It was so so noisey. When you have had a good night out, you expect to come back to your room and beable to get atleast 5-6 hours in. But with everyone running riot around the hotel, smashing things up and shouting til 7am in the morning, it is very very hard.
Security are known to be tough... what ever! They wee to scared to stop people causing havoc.
We came home totally exhausted and recommend this hotel to people in groups between 18-25, this is not the place if your a couple and are looking for some sleep at the right times.

Accommodation: The apartments are well suited for groups of young people who are looking for a wild holiday although there were about 4 other families there with young children. the reception staff can be a little rude at times and are not helpful in the slightist! the room was cleaned 3 times in the week although the balconies are never touched. being on the 1st floor we would wake up in the morning with the balcony covered in fag ash and food thrown from above, also a nice selection of shorts and towels blown down by the wind. Dont leave towels and swimwear out overnight to dry as it will be flithy in the morning.

The kids loved the pool, although it was a bit dirty after the pool party with olives and streamers floting around in it. The sun loungers are always taken early but this is the same anywhere and the kids club is ok but is only open for an hour, there is football and volleyball in the pool and balls are available all day but dont even try and put a lilo in!

The snack bar was average, doing a mean chese toastie! we also had the breakfast buffet one morning and for 6 euros this is not a bad choice, you can eat as much as you want and there is continental,cereal,fry up and fresh fruit and yoghart, tea,coffee and juice. the resturant is naff so dont bother with HB as you will be wasting your money. It gets very stuffy in the rooms but you can hire fans for about 15 euros a week.
You have to pay for the satelite telly which is 18 euros for the week so we didnt bother.
These apartments are average and could be a lot better with friendlier staff and better food, the evening entertainment was ok lots of free drinks to win.

The resort itself was nice, Benny Hills, Mano's, Snoopy's and Linekers are all good and Benny Hills is great for the kids, McDonalds, Burger King and Kentuckey are all open till 3 in the morning which was a highlight for my 11 year old, he was amazed you could get a big mac at 2 in the morning! The beach was nice and clean and it was 7.50 euros for 2 loungers and an umberella for the day.

Aqua Land is a 10 min walk from the apartments and is a great day out! you have to pay for the loungers inside and food is dear but we took a packed lunch and just bought drinks, spent the whole day there and went on everything!
Pirates is a fantastic show for the kids, although be prepared to spend some money, swords, bandana's and treasure bags are all well expensive, also be aware that the guns are metal and we werent allowed to take this on the plane home, even though we had packed it in the luggage like the reps will tell you. they cost 10 euros and although they are great it is not worth having a crying kid on a 2 hour plane journey!

My 4 year old son needed to see a doctor and we took him to one on the road next to the coach and horses and Mano's, all doctor will say they are british but please do not go to the one in front of the Iberostar Hotel. the one i went to was a lovely english man and although it cost us £50 for a bottle of antibiotoics hearing the horror stories of others who went elsewhere i would say this was cheap at half the price!

All in all we enjoyed this holiday but wouldnt return to the Martinigue apartments as there are many nicer places in this resort.

If we went back to Majorca we would probably try Alcudia for a more family orientated atmosphere alhough we all had a fantastic time and the kids loved it.

Just got back from magaluf this morning! we were due to go out to visit two friends who were working out there for the summer but after 8 weeks and 4 days before we were due to go out they decided they had had enough and came home! we decided to book the hotel and flight separatly and it turned out for the best as people we met there ended up paying an extra £300 than us.

As we had had such a good deal on the hotl price wise we thought that the hotel would not be very good.  However, as we walked into reception we were all very happy.the reception lobby is lovely and spacious and even though we were on the top floor (room 513) we weren't complaining! the rooms were clean and spacious with fresh towels and bedding every other day!the balconies were huge and the living room and bedrooms were also! we ended up sleeping on the balcony most nights however as it was so warm in the rooms!
the pools were clean and there is always hotel entertainment on nightly.

we spent most of our nights out at crystals and chaplins- however all the reps for the bars will try and ge you in by giving you free shots so just try and gte as much as you can from them! as mentioned a lot- tom browns is a good place o eat as is Robinson Crusoes!

we had a great time and would reccoment this hotel to anybody! we nearly booked to stay in the hotel don juna which is next door to the hotel martinique, but after looking around it i would say we definatley gott he best hotel!! the only problem was the amount of noise that went on at night! for most of the holiday i didn't realise as i was out til 6am but then i got ill and had to stay in bed for 2 days and thne i realised how noisy it was!! maybe this may no be such a good hotel for young families!

Looking forward to next time!can't believe how fast it went!

When we arrived we were greeted by reception and were pleasantly surprised when our party recieved two rooms side by side as we didn't expect this in the middle of the season. The rooms were basic but were clean and tidy. Maids come three times a week but beware they refused to tidy our room as it was so messy!

Security guards were strict about noise at night and some of our party got fined 100 euros for being too loud at night.

Magaluf as a whole was amazing. Loads of pubs and clubs and I definately recommend Dreams - which is situated right next to the hotel - for cheap drink. BCM is also great, costing 20 euros entry with a free bar all night, I especially recommend the foam party and would say it was the best night of my holiday! don't be taken in by the PR's offers of buy one get one free, yea thats the case but you usually find you pay over the odds to compinsate for your 'free' drink.

Only trip we went was to the Western WaterPark which was good, we got free passes when we entered BCM on a Friday night for the next day.

Overall we had a great holiday, so much so I've already booked to go back next year!

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

Left for Magaluf on the 10th of July for two weeks, arrived back on the 24th of july and have only just recovered!

Well, where do i start! Magaluf (shagaluf) is the best place ive ever been to! Sun, sea, cheap alchol and plenty of s*xy women, what more could you ask for! 

The Martinique is very well situated and within minutes you could be at the beach! The apartments were very clean and there was a separate bedroom, also the balcony was of a reasonable size so! The staff were ok, the woman at reception was a bit of a grumpy b***h but bothered! The pool was very nice much bigger than expected! 

theres loads of places where you can eat, but we chose to eat at the same place which was called balmoral! owned by a scottish guy who is a good cook and the food is so cheap! We went out every nite at about 11 and we went to a few bars near the hotel and then moved on to the strip! the nearest and cheapest bar/pub was called Dreams! well cheap and once you get to know them they ll give you shots all nite for free! The local pub is also situated opposite the martinique but was normally empty! BCM is about a 5min stroll away and is 20 euros to get in with a free bar all nite but they only serve paper cups which dont even match half a pint! 

The main strip is a 10min walk away from the martinique and the best places to go are: boomerangs, carwash, tokio joes, bananas! you can buy a pass which admits you in to all of these clubs including one more but i forgot the name of it! boomerangs is by far far the best of them all! they play a mix of RnB and hip hop! they have live performances from Romeo and Lisa Mafia on alternate thursdays and they also have quality Dj s like shortee Blitz! Carwash is CHEESE music so if you like that kinda thing then you ll love it there! Tokio Joes is good for the girls who wanna get away from being touched by every boy on the dance floor! they have a strict rule which is GIRLS ONLY on the podiums! if boys try and dance on them, the music stops until the get booed off! (very funny)Also Hip hop and RnB!

Didnt really like Bananas cos there was trouble when i went! big fights! Trance music goes to the head! Moving on, Every sunday nite the reps take you out on a bar crawl which was very well organised! Our reps were the best reps eva, there names were Laura and Emma, you meet at a bar called jokers have a few drinks walk to the strip whilst singing songs! you then go to a bar on the strip called Venue which was quality cos the reps get you hammered and play some games with you! very explicit!!! you then get free admission to boomerangs! the bar crawl is completly free and the girls walk round and tip vodka down ya during the bar crawl! You have to go to PIRATES!!!! one of the best nites out although at 49 euros you expect a good show! you get food and drinks included! 

Also go on the BUNGEE thing, what a rush! Its cheaper during the day at only 12 euros but i went on it at nite when i was off my face at 2am costing 25 euros, well worth it tho! 

all in all Magaluf is quality the Martinique is quality and we will all be returning in the very near future!!!

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

The crazy Bolton birds from room 325 (the only room to be)have just landed back in Manchester and what can we say other than absolutely gutted!Magaluf is the greatest place on earth! It certainly lives up to its 'shagaluf' expectations!!!
We had the best 2weeks of our lives in the martinique-what a place!

After a lazy day by the pool, the vodka was cracked open and us 3 crazy ladies hit the strip! Bananas is definetly the best club over there-thats if you like scouse house! and scousers cos the place is full of them! We were in our element-shorts and loafers galore!! Then we'd stumble back to the hotel,trying to be as quiet as we could because as soon as the security guard hears you he's chasing after you! needless to say that we got chased quite a few times!

The Martinique was a top place to stay,we'd definetly recommend it! and as for Magaluf-words can't describe how good this place is!! We'l defo be back next year without a doubt! Roll on mag 2005!!

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

This year me and my three friends went on our first holiday lone and we had an amazing time. The apartments were very clean and the rooms spacious. The pool was nice to but we didnt really see it until afternoon time. We couldnt really say the best places to eat because we lived on mcdonalds but the local had good breakfast if u r up for that time.

The nightlife is the best part of the holiday. We usually started of in the local across the road from the apartments and seen our fav barman pablo! The strip was good and the best clubs to go there where bananas, boomerang,tokyo joes, fusion and carwash.

The BCM was the best place to go it was absolutley packed and always made for a good nite. Its about ?20 and drink is free for the rest of the night. Downstairs is millenium beach and that is good if you like a  bit of rnb and cheese. Foam party was good in there and they have good djs we saw judge jules, seb fontaine and ultrabeat.

The apartments were noisy but we were adding to that noise. They had internal phones ad we made good use of these. And for any vodka lovers if you go to the Spar beside jokers you can get a 5litre bootle of smirnoof for ?36 a very good invastment!

We had the best time of our lives coming home was so depressing we will deffo b back next year. Glasgow girls will b touring again!!!!!!

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

The previous reviews proved to be correct in that, although the apartments themselves are very nice, well maintained, good sized rooms and great balconies (if you're lucky enough to get a pool view as we did!),these are far more suited for the groups of lads and girls. With around 200 rooms, there were perhaps no more than 10 families staying while we were there.

The pool lifeguard was a regular jobsworth and does not permit lilos, ballgames, tomfoolery etc and is quick to fetch the manager. The lifeguard ended up in the pool for his sins.
We had some problems with the service at the pool snack bar where they tried to serve my children recycled old chips.
As most of the guests would be partying at night, we experienced problems with the noise in the early hours in corridors and across balconies, also some nuisance  anonymous internal phone calls. Little was done by the hotel staff to put a stop to this.

Reception service was very good. There is no kettle in the room and you have to pay extra to hire one. Also satellite TV service is extra with a very limited choice of channels - typically Sky movies wasn't working so we didn't bother.
We did not hear of any attempted room break-in's while we were there and did not experience any problems from other guests other than the noise.

The evening enterntainment wasn't great, the best bits were the magic show and hypnotist.
The best restaurants we found were Titanic right by the beach on the first  road leading to it, also Lucy's opposite BCM nightclub.
There are two supermarkets attached to the hotel which were OK, but Spar to the right on the main road past Balmoral was much better value and choice.
Whatever you do, don't go the Palma on the bus - what a nightmare journey lasting about an hour and they pack you in like sardines. Better by taxi, approx 18 euros.

While this may sound somewhat negative, we enjoyed our holiday but wouldn't choose to go back to these apartments again.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

We have just arrived back from our first hol abroad ever, as you can imagine all sorts of worries crossed our minds but we needn't have worried at all. The hotel was very clean and well run with the staff always helpful, although the hotel entertainment wasn't up to much there was plenty to do outside the complex.

The beach was great though as we got near the end of our hol it had started to get more full. For nicer beaches travel into Palma Nova a taxi is only 5 euros and well worth it, (thats about £3.50 ).

Places to eat are everywhere but be careful some of the 'proper' resteraunts put a service charge on top ( the italian next to the piano bar ). Uncle Toms on the beach front was exelent value for money, The best place for breakfast we found was just opp. the hotel in the local pub, only 2.70 euros for full english.

A good day out was at the golf in Palma Nova. Also the Pirates night for adults only or for the whole family you choose which you would prefer but be warned there is an awful lot of swearing in the
adult one ( laughing at the thought ).

It did start to get a little noisy on our second week but we coped after all dont go to this resort if you want a quiet hol.

My son at 17 had the time of his life and will be going back to same hotel when he goes with his friends.
My daughter also said she would go back again, when she is older to go on her own.
We would go but only in early season, all in all a great holiday for all of us.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

stayed at martinique for one week. i had never been before and went rather early in the year. biggest let down was the weather only 2 nice days it was nicer in manchester whaen we landed home! 

magaluf as a resort is great. if you have children of about 10 to 15 they will adore benny hills! get in there about 8pm for a table and you won't roll out till gone midnight I promise. the staff are brilliant and the kids will need peeling off the premises! to eat you can't beat Jokers. 6 of us sat down every night and all ate really good food, with drinks, beer as well, we paid no more than 26 euros! thats value. 

the beach is lovely and a boat trip is a must although they took us past the only nudist beach in magaluf which was out of order, it was EMPTY! martinique itself was good. any problems were dealt with immediately. the hot water went off for one day and they gave everyone in the hotel a free breakfast. that said the food left a lot to be desired so i would go self catering at these particular apartments. 

even though i am a die hard aiya napa fan i would like to visit magaluf again at a time when its warmer,my kids loved it.

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

We went through teletext and booking flights and accomodation seperately meant we didnt have any reps as such. However we tagged along to the welcome meetings and they were all very helpful. However we felt the trips were overpriced so booked elswhere (plently of offices in town, look around for best deals) and thoguh the reps told us we wouldnt get as good deal as they offered we blantenly did better!

The apartment itself was spacious and cleaned regularly throughout the week, although I must say being woken at about 8.30 by the maid whipping the curtains open came as a bit of a shock to my sister! There was a couple of evenings when we didnt have hot water but the staff were very apologetic about this and by the morning it was fine. The lady on reception was very nice and friendly, even when people moaned at her about minor things all day.

Pirates is definately worth visiting, but again buy tickets in town. it was an amazing show, loads of food and free drinks all night, and all the pirates come talk to you all after, we have some shocking pictures!

We were only a short walk from the main strip, with plenty of bars on the way, and a taxi home if you are too drunk, i mean tired, to walk only cost a couple of euros.

We booked a late deal and got it pretty cheap but if we were to go again i would definately consider martinique again, they were close enough to the nighlife but quite enough to get sleep once you finally got to bed!

well what can i say ?????? how about the noisiest hotel in the world for starters. the walls are made out of paper i reckon. we could hear everything that the neighbours were doing all night and morning hense a serious lack of sleep. the weather this time of year was rubbish had 3 days of serious cloud & wind , 2 days of rain and storms and two averagely hot days.the cleaners dont know how to clean in corners , piles of dirt and sand in every corner of the rooms all week. the apartments are fairly big but cooker didnt work and the radiator leaked for two days b4 anyone sorted it.entertainment is poor and the pool had lots of stuf floating on it all week. the food is very basic and we ate out a lot because of this.

beach is clean but the whole place is boring. unless your there for mindless drinking theres sod all to do here. the rep sold us tickets for 3 outings which were a rip off .
1.fantasia golf (ok but dont take long) 2. caves de drach (avoid like the plague ALL DAY sitting on a coach to see caves for about 45 minutes)
3.marineworld (shows were good but it only takes about 30 mins to walk round whole place)
this is the second time ive been to spain and this is the last , its overated and dull and tacky . might as well goto blackpool !!!

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

Please warn all parties of young lads who are going to Magaluf to these appartments to be on their guard. The management at this property are exercising  zero tolerance to groups of young lads and my son and his five friends were subjected to a beating by the military police after the management called them for a random drugs check. Non of them have ever taken drugs .After being searched in their room(nothing was found) my son  and his friends were beaten about the body and told that if they were called back the next evening they would get hit in the face. This was their first evening in the resort and they had only arrived there at 8.30pm that nigh. My son and two more of his friends were only 17 at the time of the holiday and had done nothing wrong.
The rep for Libra holidays told them that there was nothing they could do and that families with children had previously been subjected to the same ordeal.
My son and his friends kept a low profile for the rest of the holiday which I think was the managements reason for doing this in the first place.
Don't go on holiday to this hotel or its appartments....they want the money  that young lads spend there  but in return they frighten you to death and treat you worse than animals....

My/Our Holiday Opinion: 

The Martanique was clean and basic and obviously a place for young singles, as on our first night having just arrived when we ventured out onto the balcony we were faced with the lads opposite flashing us!!

The room was quite spacious with a living room, kitchen area which had two settes as beds and a seperate bedroom with two beds i think the apartment would be better for only two as with for of us it was a bit cramped. the balcony was quite large and we had a really nice view of the pool. the pool was nice and clean but there wernt many chairs so we nearly always went to the beeach which is excellent and always ahd chairs but we did have to pay for them which is not cheap at 12 euros for two chairs and a Parasol.

the staff at the martinique were freindly although the escapades (18-30) reps wouldnt quit bugging us to sign up to their trips which was a pain considering we hadnt come on a 18-30's holiday.

Magaluf is great if you want a night out there are loads of bars and clubs BCMs is the best for the foam party but be careful not to submerge yourself to much as you may not make it out alive!!!!

the resturants in magaluf were very basic with mainly english menus which was fine if you only wanted a quick bite before going out.

overall magaluf is great for its beeches and nightlife and the shops arnt to bad, the Martanique was good base for us girlies to have a good holiday, the only thing i would winge about was that the rooms got extremly hot (no air conditioning!)if you want to cool down you have to pay for fans at reception which are extremly noisy and dont really do much!
