My/Our Holiday Opinion:

We stayed at this hotel in June 2005.  Our first impression of the hotel was ok but needs a little updating.  It is very dark and dismal.  When we arrived in our room it was tiny with four single beds crammed wall to wall.  The bathroom was also tiny with not enough work surfaces.  Although there was maid service everyday which we really appreciated as you got clean bedding everyday, our room on arrival was not as clean as it could have been!

The food was a shock to say the least, it was very hard each night to put a meal together and the breakfasts werent upto much either.  We just didnt look forward to eating there at all.

The evening entertainment was poor,  anyone that claimed to be a singer mimed and the highlight of the week was bingo!  It also started far too late - 10pm.  The entertainment in the hotel over the road was much more worth watching.

The resort was lovely, we have been before and knew what to expect.  The port is a nice area to be situated in and there is plenty to do for children.  The beach looks lovely but the sand was hard and not soft enough to dig in, which sounds a bit petty but thats what children like to do!!  The 'old town' is definately worth a visit especially in the evening, it is so peaceful and relaxed, it even had a very calming effect on our children!!

Overall we had a good week, the weather definately made the holiday it was so hot.  But we wouldnt stay in this hotel again.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

Having just arrived back from a relaxing stay at the Bahia with my wife, we thought we would add our thoughts.

Becaused we arrive at 11.50am, our room wasn't ready so we had to wait about 30 mins. We found the rooms very basic and most importantly clean. Most of the staff were very friendly, but we found a couple of times when we had a couple of small issues, the staff didn't seem to understand what we were saying.

The food was spot on. If you like meat you've come to the right place. At breakfast and dinner they were very prompt at taking things away. When dinner finished at 9pm, they started taking things away at 8.50pm, so a few times we felt rushed whilst eating our meals. Try and get there as early as possible.

Sunbathing round the pool wasn't a problem. Plenty of sunbeds for everyone. We only viewed one nights entertainment, but people we spoke to said the shows were fantastic. Location - more for couples and families. Saying that the hotel is only 20min walk to BelleView which is the more lively part. If you want to hire a car, book through the hotel as it half the price you pay with Mytravel (Avis). San Amar is a must. They wine and dine you the whole night. They are very laid back in the resort.

Upon arriving for the second year the hotel was as good as normal we went across to out normal bar (the blues across the street) and to out disbelif it had changed hands we ate there it was not the same the atmosphere had changed so much and it just wasnt as freindy as we are used to.  the food was also not as good standard we soon found sgt peppers straight in front of the doors of the hotel where we spent many of evenings food was exclent and the jugs of beer and sangria at only 6 euros was a treat only 4 quid a litre we can say we will all be back and hope forest is back on his feet soon to

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

Overall a very good week in Alcudia...but, arrived at 3.00am to be told we had a room with a window (no terrace) on the 8th floor (after requesting a low floor when we booked holiday) However, we were assured that we would be moved the next day and we were, to the 1st floor.  Room was comfortable, clean and a good size for two - bathroom was the same.

We were amazed at how big the hotel was with lots of relaxing spots in amongst a large collection of exotic birds-which was a little different but not an issue.
Apart from the gentleman who booked us in on our arrival, the rest of the staff seemed to be just doing a job and not "really friendly" as others have said.

The FOOD!!!  Oh dear!! Can't understand the people who have said the food was fine let alone "lovely" - it wasn't good at all and smacked of a canteen atmosphere.  The choice seemed to be prominantly biased towards the German clientele as did the whole of the hotel.  We gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried breakfast once and dinner twice but that was a big mistake!!!  Further breakfasts were had at Sargent Peppers across the road, where they serve a good English breakfast with real mugs of British tea!! - staff also very friendly and welcoming.

We ate at various restaurants, all of which were very good with friendly staff - priced about the same as at home.
Hotel located short distance from beach which is clean, white sand but smelly at times. Smelled similar to sulphur/bad eggs and wafts in the breeze from time to time.  Sea lovely and warm (85-90 degrees) but warmer at 3.00am if you fancy a skinny dip (not a soul around either)

The shops around the resort are pretty bog standard as you would expect, with all selling the same things.  Alcudia market (Tues and Sun) was not 1km up the road at all, more like 3 which on a hot day is not nice!!! Wasn't really worth the walk, very busy and lots of rubbish and haggling - bought a necklace and bracelet for 40 euros which considering they wanted 120 euros for, wasn't too bad.

Would possibly return to Alcudia again on a cheap deal but not to same hotel.
Would be an ideal location for families with children as its quite quiet and peaceful.

Having read previous reviews on this site I was slightly worried.  When we arrived at 2.30am the hotel did not look its best but I can honestly say that we had a brilliant holiday.  The staff in the hotel were fantastic always cheerful and very helpful (even charged my mobile as we forgot the charger).

The rooms were on the small side we had three beds in each, but the rooms were clean and modernised and had excellent air conditioning, we could also hire a fridge and a safety deposit from reception.

The food was excellent I took my three boys who can be fussy but they really enjoyed the freedom of a buffet and had plenty to eat each day.

The gardens at the hotel were lovely with lots of tropical birds, playground, crazy golf, table tennis, darts etc.  The childrens entertainer was not overpowering but just enough.

The position of Hotel is great just minutes from beach and lovely port, a lovely mix and we had a fantastic holiday.

The swimming pool was clean and had plenty of sunloungers, and a poolside bar.

The hotel has just been upgraded to a 4 star for next year, we would definatly recommend it to anyone.

As like other holiday makers id been on this site to see what the review was like and I was a little worried, but id neednt had been.

The hotel was spotlis, the rooms were nice with air conditioning which in August you need. There were 6 of us went so I booked 3 rooms the only problem was they were on 3 seperate floors we had 1 on floor 6,1 on floor 3 and 1 on floor 1, the younger ones went on floor 1 I was on floor 6 and mam and dad on floor 3 I was a little worried about the girls as far away but there is internal phone so you can keep in touch at all times, also with it been quite a family resort it was as safe as it can be been as your not at home.

The food was realy nice im realy fussy and the girls are as well but there wasnt a day went by and there wasnt any thing to eat thay cook every thing you can imagen from fish, meat dishes, salads, food for the kids etc so well done to the kitchen staff.

ALL the staff couldnt do enough for you the maids, the reception staff, bar staff, waiting on staff all were realy nice.
The area is exelent as well its near to the beach, shops and the bus stop.

I would not hesetate and recomend this hotel and area to other holiday makers also I would go back again and Ive never said that about any other holiday.Well done to every body at Hotel Bahia de Alcudia that looked after us, Thankyou.

we have just come back from a fantastic holida. the hotel was great personally i think that it deserves more that a 3* rating.

the staff was great especally the bar staff who tuck us out drinking and shown us all the best places to go.  there was a great maid service every morning, a great breakfast and dinner lined up every day the food was wicked we had beef, chicken, steak n kidney pie and spuds or chip.  the hotel is close to the beach which was a lovely white colour and blue water.

there was a great british bar (sargent peppers) across the road from the hotel which was the best they are so friendly.  the night life doesnt start till about 12.00am but thye clubs dont close till 6am which was kool one of the clubs has a swimming pool in it which is well good when your drunk!!  the best clubs to go to are CHEERS, MENTA, BELLS DAIKIRI and ENJOY.  there has to be a speciall thanx to our reps steve(lilly savage) and dean who looked after us and was our taxi service bless them!

over all the holiday was that good we have booked to come back next year.

Just returned from a great 2 weeks in the Bahia de Alcudia.  After reading some reviews was a bit apprehensive about the food but we were all pleasantly surprised.  Food was brill every night and we even managed to find something to please a very fussy 9 yr old.  As in previous reviews we were a bit disappointed with the room size but we believe this to be an Airtours problem and not the hotels problem.  Rooms were spotlessly clean and all the staff in the hotel were very approachable and great with the kids.

The location of the hotel is perfect for the beach just a short stroll and the beautiful marina is also a short stroll away.

Although we did not use the entertainment every night what we saw was very professional and very well organised by the hotels entertainment team.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.

P.s If you go to this hotel you must visit Sgt Peppers bar across the road and sample Daves great cooking.  All the staff there make you feel more than welcome regardless of nationality or age.

We have just returned from the Bahia De Alcudia where we stayed for one week half board. The food was excellent although I do agree that the chips were never hot, however all other meals were varied and offered excellent choice from, fresh salmon to steak and kidney pie.  The staff were all friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.  Maid service was everyday and she even hangs your clothes up for you !!  The hotel gardens were exceptional with the tropical birds being the show stoppers.  There is a beautiful pool on site and there was never any wrangling for sun beds.  The hotel has a very large German clientel.

The Airtours rep 'Steve' (who sounded like Lilly Savage) was second to none, he even took our daughter and her friend to the local clubs and made sure they got back safe (be it 6am!!)

Entertainment was good in the hotel and there was always the choice of using the surrounding hotels if you got bored with the entertainment in yours. The bar directly accross the road deserves a special mention 'SARGENT PEPPERS' In here the staff are friendly and helpful and provide their own form of entertainment !!!! My daughter and her friend swear by the nightlife in the new town the clubs there are open all night, and have theme nights one even has a pool inside.

The market on a Sunday and Tuesday is very good for leather goods and gifts for home but be prepared to barter to get the best bargain. The hotel is about 150 meters from the shops which are all reasonably priced, no need to buy bikinis and sarongs at home they are real cheap in Alcudia.

Altogether it was an excellent holiday made better by the fact there were temperatures of over 100 degrees in which we basked on the white sandy beach !! We have booked for next year at the same hotel already.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

Before I start I should point out that I have stayed in many hotels around the world and am normally very fussy and expect a high level of customer service. We had never been to Alcudia or any of the Spanish resorts before and was slightly apprehensive after making our booking and reading some of the previous reviews.

Having read previous reviews about the rooms, I contacted Airtours upon receipt of my tickets to clarify that I was getting a family room which is what I had requested when I made the booking. I was advised by Airtours that in fact the hotel only has 1 type of room available and that it is big enough for a family of 4. This is not totally correct. The hotel has a number of different size rooms, unfortunately only one type of room is made available to Airtours. This was not made clear when I made my booking or when I contacted Airtours. Luckily when I arrived the hotel staff were able to organise a very large hotel apartment for me ie a large double size and a large living area that also had 2 beds/seats. The room was airconditioned and were very clean. The bathroom was excellent, large and very modern. These rooms were situated on the first floor and I gather there are not that many available, however, we were lucky enough to get them (without any help from the travel agent or Airtours I may add!).

I read many reviews of people complaining about the quality of food. This made me expecting the worse. I was surprised to see that the food was excellent, with a wide range of quality and quantity that you are spoilt for choice. On a typical night there may be salmon, roast beef, roast pork, chicken, sausages, vast choice in salads, soup, even fish and chips for the fussy ones. Also, there was a good selection of dessert. I think the people who previously complained about the food...liven up a little it is a 3 star hotel and not the Ritz!

The staff were excellent, were very  friendly and were very comfortable dealing with young children.

The location of the hotel was also good, a few minutes walk to the beach and surrounded within walking distance of a number of shops.

When we went there were hotel guests from a number of countries, Germany, Finland, Latvia, English and Scottish, quite cosmopolitan and all having a great time.

Finally, I should mention that the hotel entertainment was also excellent. There were magicians, acrobats, drag performers on different nights. Also, as there are a number of other hotels close by, you could also wander in and watch their shows if you got bored.

The resort is great, the water is clear and shallow and excellent for young children. Lots of good restaurants. There was lots to see and do and will definitely go back to Alcudia again.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

We have been on holiday to many places on the Spanish mainland, Canaries and Ballearics and without doubt Alcudia Majorca is our favourite yet. The position of Condesa de Bahia is about 2 miles away from the main port centre and for some it may be a little too quiet but it is excellent for a bit of R&R. The beach is literally three steps away from the pool area offering the opportunity to choose between the shallow warm sea and long golden beach with good sports facilities or the excellent double pool. This also allows easy access to the decent quality snack bar/cafe for drinks, ice-creams and lunch.

The hotel itself is clean with air-con and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but adequate with a daily maid service and views over the sea/pool area that were well worth paying the extra for. One minor complaint is that the walls are paper thin, which is not good when next door come back to their room at midnight with a grouchy, crying and tired young child then get up and start singing nursery rhymes at 6am. Still the hotel tends to quiet down by 12.30am and the maid arrives about 10am so you can sleep around it and still make breakfast for 10.30am. This leads onto the food which was ok - nothing fantastic but they do try to provide enough variety. The only piece of advice I would give is to turn the air-con unit above the kids food off - cold burgers and pasta are not attractive!

To get around and about we caught the bus up to the port (1 Euro each). It was crowded like they always are but easy enough from the main road 300 yards away. We also hired a Mini from the hotel reception for a day (48 Euro fully insured) and went to Marineland in the south of the island. The dolphin, sea lion and parrot show there were good but the entrance cost was a bit steep for what was on offer. We then had a Mini adventure exploring the island on the way back finishing off in the next bay round from Alcudia at Peurto Polensa which also seemed a great place to go (maybe a destination for the future).

Overall a very good experience.

Well being a 20 year old teenager i wanted a holiday that i could enjoy relax and get drunk on. When i found this place in a offer on the internet,i phoned up my firends and we planned the holiday. I expected it to be a real good laugh. I was totally mistaken. I usually start drinking at about 6 and went to the bar of the resteraunt. Firstly they asked me for a ID (This is the first time...EVER...that i have been ID'd.When going into bars and clubs they never asked me)anyway abit shocked i got out my visa and showed them. The skinny spanish person then reluctantly gave me a beer. I sat here drinking it waiting for my friends when the manager came up to me. He said i must leave the bar. I then asked him why and he said. 'we have some very important people and they requasted the bar' in a terrible english way. I decided not to argue with him and left in disgust.

The Location, overall, was good.250 miles away from a beutiful golden beach, with lots of sexy topless birds there. Thats were i spent most of the days, chilling and hanging about there. I wanted to stay away form the dingy, dark and damp hotel.

the rooms were small. The bathrooms were a tight squeeze and the balcony..well..was pretty terrible.Peeling and not enoguh space for a chair never mind a table.

If you want excitmement from the hotel the best your going to get is a tropical bird collection.

The facilities,on the whole rather shocking. The swimming pool was rammed full of 13 year olds bombing in.

Ont he whole a terrible hotel and i woudnt recomend it to nebody in the right mind. They wont enjoy it. trust me!

We would highly recommend the Bellamar Alcudia Apts, we had an excellent 2 weeks there and would go back in a minute. The apartments are basic but clean and really just exactly what you need. We spent most days lazing by the pool which has a poolside bar. There were a total of 15 of us there (10 adults 5 children) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The other guests were really friendly as well which also makes it memorable. The main town is about 15 minutes walk away and there is loads of bars and restaurants so you can always try somewhere different. We enjoyed everywhere we visited. We had a brilliant rep Colin who made our holiday too - he was very helpful and was always around making sure everything was ok. He recommended a Drag Show to go to which we had such a laugh at and they do a 3 course meal too all for 20euros pp which was fab and well worth it.

If you are thinking of going to Bellamar Alcudia I'm sure you will love it.

Apartments basic but clean & tidy. The pool was ideal and plenty loungers to go round.  The beach is 2 mins round the corner and is excellent. There is a supermarket across the road and fab Sandwich Bar. If you come out of the Apartments and turn left walk approx 10 - 15 mins and you`ll come to Smiths, amazing food all day, great entertainment and really friendly staff.  Turn right out of the apartments, again approx 15 min walk you`ll come to all the bars and restaurants.  The Peach Pit is great for the kids and do great food. Olas has excellent food and have a kids menu for 6 euros (good selection. Tamarinos is a bit dearer but worth every Euro!!
The only thing that I disliked was the main road outside the apartments, we were told it be busy at peak times.... 24/7 it`s constant!!! The motorbikes and scooters are the worst, but, after a few days we got used to it and blanked them out.
Finally, I can`t go without mentioning Colin, the rep, what a lovely guy, visited the apts twice a day and made sure he spoke to everyone who was around the pool.

Good Holiday.

the bellamar apts are very basic,so basic in fact that you have to supply your own loo roll!!.a/c also a no no.

on the plus side, due to apts not being filled to capacity sun loungers were plentiful,a bar has also been added to the pool area.the location of the apts was off the beaten track with a very busy road outside.for entertainment you have to walk into the main town, ther was nothin on in apts.

the beach, wich was just round the corner was gorgeous.what made this holiday was the mix of guests!(they know who they are)colin the rep also deserves a mention,he was honest &down to earth although i wonder if he ever did get a white pool ball!!!!!!!!!!!

What can I say! What a fabulous holiday. I was in Alcudia with my boyfriend for our first holiday together abroad. It was fantastic.
We arrived in Palma airport at about 4 in the morning so didnt get to our apartments in Alcudia till about six if you include drop offs etc.
This didnt dampen our spirits though. We were met by an absolutely fantastic rep Colin Idiens who is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He was so friendly and helpful and always on hand if you needed assistance. He helped in making our holiday so brilliant.

The apartments were basic but perfect. Everything was there that we needed, except for a small electrical problem.. but nothing serious. The balcony was lovely and the pool was always quiet as there are only 20 apartments in the whole building. One of the only problems we encountered was that the hotel staff didnt speak excellent english.. but just give colin a phone and he will help you  out with anything!

The beach is just around the corner and is absolutely breathtaking when you first see it. It literally took my breath away. I would recommend buying inflatables as alot of fun can be had cruising the waves.
The food in Alcudia was not amazing but it was fine for us. We ate at Lunas Grill most nights and there was always alot of amusing, musical entertainment on. I recommend Thursday nights when the Beatles Tribute Band play! they were fab!

Well all in all we had an excellent holiday... we will definately return... for two weeks next time. Seguro were an excellent company to go through, there for you  at every stage! Colin was the best rep ever!... if your thinking about this holiday just go for it, you will love it.
Thank you Alcudia!

We were very impressed with the location - Sienna 1. All-inclusive was really good, the restaurant staff were so pleasant.

We did not hand in our wrist bands as the hotel had instructed and no one noticed, I do not see how they can make you hand your wrist bands in. We left the bands with our room keys in the room on departure with a hefty tip.We used our wristbands for the lunch before departing the hotel after at 2pm; so do not surrender wrist bands if you are entitled to a complete weeks food or you will miss out.
We only stayed a week but the rooms we had overlooked the boat going to the beach and the restaurant/canal area, pefect - rooms Sienna 1 (133 and 134).

We were cross because we did not have a TV and needed updates because we came from the floods in Gloucester. Five requests for a tv were not granted.I felt because we went with an internet provider we had no representative. However, I soon got over it.
The night time shows were fab - ABBA, Queen etc the Grease show lacked some dialogue, but hey we were on holiday. There were lovely teenagers working in the all inclusive bar, so friedly.
The pool at Sienna was quiet and relaxed overlooking the lake. 10 out of 10 holiday.

Just got back from 2 wonderful weeks at the Bellevue. We too shared the same apprehension that many other reviewers had, having read previous reviews, but I can assure you that we had a great time. Accommodation was basic , but functional, although Air Con would have helped. We stayed in the Minerva 1 which had the benefit of the room being shaded all day and not warming up too much. I imagine if you were on the other side then a hired fan (which are easily available) would be a must.

We were half board, and we thought the food was tremendous  - freshly cooked, plentiful, and varied. They had something for everyone (except for the fish n chips / pie n mash brigade who gave the odd grumble  - You're on holiday , in a foreign country , for goodness sake. Expect to eat different things - you never know you might be enlightened !) Restaurant staff were very helpful, and worked their socks off.

Kids were well looked after by the entertainment staff. We would probably have gone out and done more, but the kids were so involved they never wanted to go !

Lots of family friendly bars around the resort. I would recommend the Crazy Horse among others.

Went to the nearby waterpark, which was small, but not too busy , so you could go on things over and over again (which we did !)

The resort of Alcudia itself is very nice, especially the beach, which is spotless, with nice shallow clean water. Port de Alcudia is approx 15-20 min walk (or a few euros taxi ride if you are lazy !) and is well worth it, by day or night.

We weren't affected by the mozzies, until the last night, when I got a couple of bites. Use a good spray (we used Boots extra strength), and plugs / citronella candles for the room and you should be OK

Thoroughly Recommended !

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

APPARTMENTS:

Just spent two weeks at the Belle Vue.  As with many people was a little concerned having read the reviews, but I can't say that there was anything that caused us any concern.
Went with my wife and two young children as well as my parents.  Arrived in resort just before 10 pm.  Booked in at reception and the coach took us to out respective buildings.
The complex is massive and we were in Ceres 1, which was relatively central, altough we didn't really go anywhere else within the complex as it was just so huge.  Ceres was one of the smaller buildings.  It had a pool, but there was never anything going on around it.  The daytime activities were mainly centered around the larger buildings (Leda and Minerva - I think.)

The accomodation itself was fine.  A little dated and very basic, but large and spacious and comfortable.
We tried the show garden on our second evening.  Needless to say, we never went back.  Unlike many people, we didn't find the mosquitoes a problem in the garden.  It was the price of the drinks - I bought two soft drinks and two alcoholic drinks and didn't have much change from 17 Euros.  Still, with the amount of people all inclusive, I guess they need to make the money from somewhere.  The size of the show garden was a problem too.  With a curious 3 year old, it was difficult to relax when he was running around everywhere.

RESORT:

Alcudia is a fantastic resort, but massive.  It was quite busy when we went, but that was to be expected being high season and all.  It was difficult to see it all with two young children.  My parents managed to see a bit more of it and recommended going to the old town.  The streets in the main resort are lined with restaurants, bars and the good old souvenir shops.  There's plenty of supermarkets to choose from too.  Don't use the Spar shops on the Belle Vue site - very expensive.  I went to the Leda Spar to buy some water (8 litre bottle) and it was 6 Euros.  They kept the bottle!!  Go to Colber across the road from the main complex entrance.  Very reasonable and 5 litres of water for 99 cents!!!

The beach is lovely.  Gorgeous white sand and beautiful clear water that you can walk out a long way in before it gets deep.  Again very busy at this time of year.  Not so many people if you walk further along towards the port itself.  We only went to the beach once as the kids preferred to be by the pool.

MISC.:
The kids' My Travel kids' club was good.  Our 3 year old went all the time.  But our 6year old wasn't interested.  That's nothing against the club, she was more interested in the pool.  It's worth putting the kids in just for a couple of hours rest from them!!!  You will need to stay on the complex though and tell the rep where you will be.
Like I said, nothing really happened around the Ceres pool, but if you wanted a sunbed, you would need to be up early. If you didn't go out before 7 am then you wouldn't get a bed.  Still there was plenty of grassy areas to lie on, and we took out platic chairs from the balcony down a couple of times.  One morning all the beds were reserved by 4am (ridiculous).  I don't go on holiday to get up at that hour.  People would even put towels out the night before.  We tried it, and never saw the towels again!!!
I had a pair of Animal shorts stolen from the balcony.  I told the rep and she was about as uninterested as she could have been.

You can of course use ant of the pools on site.  There is a smaller one just opposite the fromt of Ceres 1 next to Apollo and by reception.  Not so busy.
If you want to avoid being dinner for the mozzies, then get some Jungle Formula cream before you go.  Boots and Superdrug sell it.  I put it on every night and didn't get bit.  Saying that my wife never put it on and didn't get bit so it's all swings and roundabouts I guess.  The only times I got bit was during the day when I didn't have it on!!!

FOOD & DRINK:

There are plenty of places to choose from to eat and drink in the resort.  At the cheap end is Yummy Yummy (next to Colber supermarket).  3 courses for 8 Euros and quite good quality aswell.  Another place that does the same deal is Nevada.  Come out of the main entrance and turn left.  Next door to Burger King so you won't miss it.
The Lago Chinese is great - 12 Euros for all you can eat and kids under 5 eat free.  Turn right out the main entrance, go over the bridge and it's along on the right hand side.
Lunas grill is a little more expensive than the others, but boy is it woth it.  The steaks are huge!! I highly recommend it if you like your meat.

Walk past Lunas and turn left and you will come to The Shine.  We found it totally by chance at the start of our second week.  It is brilliant.  It is a british bar with british staff.  For two adults and two children for evening meal including deserts, side orders and alcoholic drinks it was around 70 Euros which I thought was extremely good value.  They have a quiz every night and bingo.  We won just short of 300 Euros on the bingo over the course of three nights.  If you read this and you go to the Shine say hello to DJ Nigel from Mr and Mrs C x 2.  Each night from 8 pm they have the kids hour with scooby doo with games and dancing.  And on a Thursday evening they have a repltile show.  I can't recommend this place enough - brilliant.
The Cheers bar is also good value for food and they have entertainment for the kids too.  Its further into town.  If you go down the road opposite the Lago Chinese you won't miss it.

I would recommend going to see the Crepe man just by the bridge.  Even if you don't like pancakes, it's worth it just for the entertainment value.  He's truely funny.

So overall, I would recommend Alcudia but not if you have very small children as it is such a large resort.  I wouldn't go back to the Belle Vue.  Not because we didn't like it, we thought it was great, but it was just too big.  We prefer somewhere that has just the one building so you can do all the activities.
I haven't winged on and on about the mozzies and the weather like a lot of people do - hey you can't do anything about it.  The mozzies were here long before us humans, and the weather does as it pleases, you can't control it.

If you are going to Belle Vue, don't let all the negative reviews put you off, we didn't and we made the holiday what we wanted.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

After reading many reviews i was worried this holiday would be a flop.  Completely the opposite.  We had a great time, flight was great, transfer great and studio great.  I'm sure some previous people must have been expecting the Ritz or something. At the end of the day you get what you pay for.  we wanted a clean safe resort and place to stay for something that does not cost the earth and this is exactly what we got.  Helpful staff, great cleaning maids who came often and a room that had all we needed for a 2 week holiday.

The choice of food in the resort is a little limited but the food you get is very tasty if not a little repetitive.  The crepe man is great to watch and the crepes are lovely, try the banana and chocolate sauce its lovely.

Hair ladies are plentlyful my daughter got her hair done and it looks great.  I would recommend getting your hair braided.
Cheers and the peach pit are good if you have younger children as the entertainment is aimed at them.  We went 2-3 times as there is only so much cartoon heros music you can listen too on a holiday.

The show garden entertainment was ok, could have maybe been a little more professional given the size of the complex but still it was ok.  Gets a bit boring though as everything is said in 4 different languages so takes a while to get through things.

As a family we never go to the same place twice however there was nothing bad about the place so would do again with no regrets, lovely holiday.

First time that me and my family had been abroad for a holiday and we certainly wasn't disapointed,we stayed at the Hoteur Bellevue in appolo 1 at Alcudia and it was basic but comfortable, mozzies were an issue but not so much as to spoil our holiday, loads of stuff for the kids to do and we felt welcome in every bar we went in none more so than the Peach pit which is located on the back street near the cheers bar, my young daughter made this her her favourite due to the attention she recieved from staff there, weather was exellent 27-36 degrees at 6.30 in the evening, water park was good 17 euros for an adult 8 for a child,we travelled with Thomas cook and were offered a smartcard for 10 euros this proved a good investment as there were 7 of us and nearly all the vendors were welcoming of the card,

So thanks to the Bellvue, and all the others mentioned for a great hol see you next year!

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

I would NEVER EVER go back to the Bellevue complex or reccommend it to anyone.

Our 1st room in Minerva 2 was small, dirty and had old appliances. I had to put a towel over the pillow because it smelled so bad! After not sleeping the first 2 nights, due to the noise from bars on the street beside the complex and the drunk people shouting outside my room at 3am, I demanded a new room. The 2nd room, also in Minerva 2, was slightly better cos it wasn't as noisy but it was as shoddy as the 1st. The electricity in the room kept going off and we got electric shocks from the cooker. When we complained they told us that this was common in the apartments and there was a trip switch in the room so we could fix it ourselves. The room was cleaned every 3 days, which meant we had to ask for toilet roll at reception and leave rubbish outside our room cos the bin was overflowing.

The 1st pool we tried was awful! There were a group of lads throwing a rugby ball between the big pool and the baby pool, which hit a small child. We tried the Leda pool next which was a bit better. The Minerva pool was the best but we had to get up very early to get a sunbed. Water pistols were a problem as they caused many fights - they should have been banned! The food in the poolside bar and the supermarket was a ripoff. The food in the nearby restaurants was disgusting - especially in Yummy Yummy's, Lunas and Roma pizzeria.

This was my worst holiday ever! I hardly slept for 2 weeks cos of the noise and the heat in the room.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

well what can i say...
we stayed here 3yrs ago and had a fab time in ceres 1. so why not again we thought?
well we should have thought again!

we arrived at 9.30pm to find we were in the fedra 1 (back of beyond). then they told us we were on the 9th floor with 2 young boys but it was not happening! we ended up on the 2nd floor.

we had a very noisy first night with people in the pool till late and then then young groups coming home noisily. if you want a sunbed around the pool, don't expect a lie in.there were about 40 sunbeds and 20 chairs for at least 120 6 bed apartments, you need to be up and out for 7.30! mind the people with towels out early usually turn up after lunch! some people even put there towels out on their way home at night (very sad)!

the first day my kids were in the pool all day. later thet afternoon my son could not open his eyes he was in that much pain. we had to hold his hands and guide him round for the rest of the day. we were all suffering from itchy skin after swimming and very dry skin. we later discovered others were having the same problem....
only on day 5 did we discover the cause of this problem, the maintanence team asked two families (us being 1 of them) to get their kids out of the water as they needed to treat the water as the pump was not working. to my horror they poured 10 gallons of chlorine straight into the pool and said wait 15 mins then they could go back in the pool!
my hubby went to find the mytravel rep.... what a joke, they are in the furthest biulding away and were too busy to deal with the problem.
we found a rep from another company who sorted the problem out for us, although  another holidaymaker had seen them treating the pool in the same way 3 times during the night! we didn't go in the pool for the last 6 days, we went to another hotel were our relatives were staying. it was like a palace compared to hell vue.
this hotel is in desperate need of aircon in the rooms.

we love alcudia, and luna's grill is a must! but the belle vue or hell vue as it is better known, so a rep told us, never ever again. as for my travel?? TOTAL WASTE OF SPACE!

Well wat can i say, after reading the reviews i was very worried about going. We had a night flight and had a hour delay at the airport. once arrived we found our rep and coach very quickly. and when arriving at the hotel the rep ran into the reception and found out what block we was in and we got dropped there.
we stayed in minerva 2 which was lovely.

we ate mainly in the hotel as it was very cheap and yummy!!!! during the day we hung around the pool/ beach which was amazing. in the evenings we went to the most amazing resturants eva, called lunas grill ust over the road from the hotel it was amazing food and was very quick they had a different tribute bands on every night in cluding abba and takethat.

we went on the robinsons boat trip which was a great day out. worth the money. the hotel enterinment was great too including high school musical and abba. there was bingo every night. at 11 the kareoke bar openings selling very chep drinks for 1 enro 50 the karoke went on till 3 in the morning and was a great laugh. let me just say they are very generus with the measures of alchol, it was a cheap night lol.
on your way home beware of the sprinklers once they start you cant get out the way of them but when your drun k its just very funny.
i got a few bites but it didint bother any of us. there is no air conditioning in the rooms but we left our door open and got a nice breeze.

holidat was great will deffently go again.!!!!!!!

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

We were dropped off outside the main reception, and as we checked in, we were given details of the building we were staying in, and we expected to have to walk round, which was fine by us. But one of the men on the reception told us that he would drive us to our hotel in the company can, he took out suitcases to the van for us, and was extremely helpful.

We stayed in Minerva 2. The room was absolutely fine, plenty of wardrobe space, and a kitchen, although we always ate out and so never used ours. There was heaps of storage space, shelves and cupboard, and the balcony was large enough for the three of us. We  were aware of burgularies, so decided to play it safe, and for 32 euros, 10 of which was a returnable deposit, we hired the safe for a week. Each room has a safe, but you have to pay for the key, and you will be given a reciept which you MUST keep, otherwise when you return the key, you cannot get a refund on your 10 euros!

The beach was lovely ,although there was a man going round with a wheelbarrow full of fruit yelling about the products he was selling! It is not very far from the hotel complex, just down the main strip. The only annoying thing about walking down the strip was the looky looky men, and women offering to braid your hair.

Good places to eat are Nevadas, Champion, Cheers, London Bar and Lunas Grill. The Tivoli Terrace was terrible, if you asked for the bill, they would tell you they would get it for you, and 15 minutes later you would still be waiting. There was not a single time (we went once for breakfast and once for tea)we asked for it and didn't end up having to go to the bar and ask again! I also ordered an extra drink, and it never came.

The best bars are prince of wales, bells and cheers, they are all open into the early hours. Start at the prince of wales, from bout 10 while 4, then onto either cheers or bells til 6 or 7.

There are many shops and a chemist opposite the entrance of the hotel, and i got an eye infection on the 2nd day of a 7day holisay, and was dreading going to the chemist, thinking they wouldn't understand me, but the lady of the counter was the most helpful person, she spoke excellent english, and gave me some eyedrops which cleared the infection up immediately.

Overall, the holiday was excellent, and we would definitly go back.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

After reading all the reviews on here we were very apprehensive about going to the Bellevue Apartments.

We stayed in Cerise II and the apartment was spacious and clean although a little difficult to find.

We can't comment on the food in the complex as we were self catering and after reading some of the reviews on here we were put off, but we did have friends staying and they did eat in the complex and they were pleased with the food and had no bad tummies.

Whoever said there was a limited choice of places to eat outside of the complex must be very short sighted as there were loads of places, my daughter particularly liked the Jolly Roger which was about 5 mins outside the Bellevue.

The pool by our apartments was a very good size and very clean although some people did try putting the towels out very early and the life guard did take them off when she arrived much to my amusement.

The night time entertainment in the show gardens was excellent for both kids and adults and it was no problem getting served.

The town of Alcudia is very family orientated and the beach is absolutley beautiful.

We would recommend the Peach Pitt if you have quite young children as they have childrens entertainment every night with a visit from various characters inc Bob The Builder,Fifi,Tinky Winky and others. My 4yo loved it.

Also if you like horse riding there is a ranch about 10 mins walk from the Belle vue called Ranxo Ses Roques which is also excellent with very friendly hosts.

My only gripe would be the Moquitos as although I can't say I saw too many they must have seen me as I have about 15 bites all over me until I bought a repellent from the nearby supermarket which seemed to work, unfortunatly I can't remember what it was called but it was yellow with a red top lol, my gf was bitten about 5 or 6 times, my 10yo about twice but thankfully they left my 4yo alone.

If it wasn't for the mosquitos I would definatly go back to the Bellevue but it didn't seem as big a problem as some seem to have made out so don't worry if you are going soon. In fact my 4yo and gf  loved it soo much they didn't want to come home and my 10yo only wanted to come back as it was too hot for her and for me.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

This was definately a 'grin and bear it' holiday. We booked 5 nights at this hotel on an all inclusive basis and, to be fair, we paid next to nothing for the accommodation - £250 for 2 of us for 5 nights all inc.

HOWEVER, had we paid a single penny more or had to stay even one night longer, I really would have had enough. I understand that you get what you pay for and we were only on a cheap last minute get away so I could put up with the same food at both lunch and dinner for 5 days. I could also put up with queuing for thirty mins for our drinks at the bar (or rather sitting on my own for half hour whilst my other half got the drinks). What is wholly unacceptable was that food was undercooked (we were not ill however)and there always seemed to be none left. The wait for the food to be topped up was so long that you could have jumped on a plane, gone home and brought food back again before it arrived!

We also saw RATS in this complex. Oh yes, whilst sitting watching the (extremely amateur) entertainment on our first night, a rat ran across the floor underneath all of the tables where guests were sitting and into the bushes. We were not the only guests to witness this and the hotel staff did too! Also our room was only cleaned once in our whole stay so this meant towels were not changed, we had no toilet paper and the sheets were filthy/beds not made. On the third time of complaining we were given some hand towels (all they had left) and some toilet roll.

The pool area was clean but the pool was freezing. We sunbathed on the grass for the duration of our stay as there was no sunbeds and we were not about to get up at ridiculous o'clock to reserve them. Our room was adequate, a few things broken however.

The staff here are all RUDE and unhelpful. There was one member of reception staff who helped us but all other staff including waiting staff, cooks, bar staff etc were ignorant and miserable as well as rude.

The drinks machines were always out of order in the restaurant. There was also a huge group of Spanish school children (teens) on a school trip who caused problems for people. Being a teacher I am quite tolerant but you really don't want this on your hols! The toliets on the complex were filthy. Disgusting. Say no more. Many people had probs with mosquitoes but we wore hardly any repellant and hardly got bitten - maybe we're not as tasty as others!

Overall, this hotel is not equipped for all-inclusive. For £25 a night each, we found this hotel almost acceptable but some basic expectations were missing. We agree with other reviews, it is like a trashy council estate and a lot of English holidaymakers with the wrong attitude (rude, dropping litter, noisy etc) are not a good advert for us (and yes, I lived in a council house for the first few years of my life!). Funnily enough though, in this hotel, they were not too far out of place.

At the end of the day, a smile and good manners cost nothing and if the staff had these then maybe we would not have noticed the bad food, rats, queues etc. On second thoughts, maybe we would.....Get what you pay for? Yep. What do you expect for so little money. Really though, if we ate and drunk out of the hotel each day then it still would have been a cheap holiday, but we should not have to. I've written loads so not going to discuss the resort itself apart from to say... I went here ten years ago and it was 'nice'. Ten years later....a 'dump'.

Finally, bear in mind that whatever time your departure (or arrival) you have to give in your all inclusive wrist band at noon on your departure day. We did not get to the hotel until nearly 1am on our arrival day, hence missing a days entitlement! However, I argued this at main reception and (after sounding off about the downfalls of the holiday, including the rats, in the middle of the reception) I won. We kept our bands until we left at 8pm so it's worth arguing your case - Good Luck!

From our experiences, I would hate to see this resort or hotel in peak season...............!!!

Dont ever go here in june if you want a stress free holiday. Within 2 hours of our arrival 150 - 200 spanish students made their presence very clear. We were the only family on the 9th floor. The other 11 apartments were vacated by unaccompanied teenagers. We were kept awake until 3.30 by shouting, loud music. When that stopped the constant ringing of the door bell started. Every single night of our stay was  a noisy party(theirs not ours)So many people were complaining. We were in fedra 1, and people in fedra 2 were kept awake by the noise. The reception staff were not interested. Reps tried to get us moved on several occasions, but as the number of people wanting to move were so many they couldnt do anything. They were overwhelmed with trying to sort out all the problems. We were told to call the police and they would beat the **** out of them.

The accomodation itself was fine, spacious and clean. The cleaners were great. very helpful. The complex is huge. Our  problem was the fact we had been put in a block with all those teenagers. Their teachers had been put in a seperate block so not to get disturbed.

Alcudia is a lovely place. Tivolis is a great place to eat. We had several lovely evenings there. The beach is lovely. The kids had a great time in and out of the clear blue sea.

We would definately go back to Majorca, but for the Bellevue? Not a hope in hell.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

This is the 2nd time we have been to Majorca but our first time to these apartments.  Four words come to mind and they are CHAV CITY and NEVER AGAIN!Anyone planning to go away for a nice family holiday then please think again.  If you plan on going to sleep before 3am every morning then this is NOT the place for you. It seems to be a main attraction for loud obnoxious lager-lout families who have no consideration for anyone else trying to enjoy thier holiday.

On arrival we went to our allocated apartment to find that it hadn't been cleaned at all from the previous family.  The beds were still dirty and the kitchen was full of mess and dirty pots.  When we complained we were given a better room in Leda 3.  We had a 2 bedroom apartment that was very spacious and a large balcony over looking the pool.  There were 5 of us but only enough linen for 4 beds.  The maids came in 3 times a week and changed towels but the beds were only changed once in the 2 weeks that we were there.  The walls were very thin so you could hear what everyone else was doing. Absolute nightmare with the pushchair as the lifts are extremely tempramental!

The pool was nice but lack of sunbeds is a real problem. Many people getting up at 6am to reserve them with towels and then going back to bed and not coming back down until early afternoon to use them. People often reserving sunbeds for thier children who were in the pool for most of the day.  A man was there reserving 12 sunbeds and 6 chairs one day and over half of those were for kids. The lifeguard eventually started taking the towels off the sunbeds that were not being used which then lead to confrontations between families when they realised someone else had got their sunbed and their towels had been thrown to one side.

We booked 2 weeks self catering but on arrival paid to eat Half Board for only 5 days and am extremeley glad that was all that we wasted on our money on.  A case of 'same stuff, different day'. Very boring and most of the time under-cooked. We all had the runs at some point during our stay.

Mosquitos are a huge problem but not surprising there are so many as complex is situated beside a large, stagnant, dirty lake full of rubbish.  We went to the Show Garden once and never returned as we were all savaged by mosquitos who are obviously immune to all repellants.  I don't think we were missing much as the entertainment left a lot to be desired.  The people running the children's rides are extremely rude and unhelpful.

The beach was lovely and submarine vision boat trip was good.  It was only two hours which was ideal with the kids.  Well worth doing as reasonably priced.

If you have already booked then good luck, hope you have a better time than we did.  If you are looking for a hassle-free fun-filled holiday then DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE BELLEVUE!

Just one other thing you should know.  Beware of getting ripped off by shops and restaruants everywhere.  Any chance they can, they will.  Most evenings extra items were added to our food bill that we hadn't had when eating out.  Souvenir shops will also short change you.  Check prices of everything and always check your change.

We are far from being snobby and are always up for a laugh but this is the worst holiday we have been on and has put us off booking another package holiday.  Majorca is a beautiful island and we will definately return one day but definately not Alcudia and most definately not to Bellevue.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

Just returned from the Bellevue Apartments in Alcudia. Booked direct with Air Berlin and had a fantastic flight. Booked our Transfers through low cost beds and again no problem. We stayed in a two bed apartment which was booked through low cost beds and got a very reasonable rate. The apartments were very spacious and very clean. When we arrived we had no microwave in the room but once we spoke to the reception we had one taken to the room within the hour. The complex is very big, situated on a lake - so beware of the mosquitoes. Not so much of a problem in the town but loads around the lake. We stayed self catering so cannot comment on the all inclusive facilities. The main area with the shops and restaurants is on your doorstop. We ate mostly at the Lunars restaurant and had fantastic meals every night. Waiters are very friendly and live music good. We did try the Tivoli restaurant but nothing special. To be honest couldn't find too many other places to eat!! Bit limited i think.

Overall very good complex - would go back!

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

Returned last week from a 2 week all inclusive holiday in the Bellevue.

Overall a great holiday had by all (17 of us went altogether ranging from 6 months to 60yrs) with something for everyone.

The rooms were fine and the maid service fine - no complaints.

The food was fine - non of us suffered from the runs or anything. I was looking forward to a curry when I got back though.

We stayed in Diana 2. Everything around was clean and safe for kids. The pool area was nice. During the last week a "lovely" family from England invaded and needless to say they managed to get up most peoples noses. Its groups like this that give the rest of us a bad name. The managed to smash a light about 2 in the morning, they made loads of noise at night running from room to room, they smashed the vending kiosk in the lobby, they kept jamming door buzzers on during the night to wake everyone up, they just left the pool strewn with rubbish (plastic cups, ice cream cartons, fag ends, etc etc......) When you come across people like this I am ashamed to be English. If its you Im talking about and you read this then you should hang your head in shame - you sh**heads.

Entertainment was fantastic and the kids thouroughly enjoyed it. Queues for drinks was a pain. For paying guests there are two bars in the showgarden and 1 for all inclusive, this was often manned by 2 par staff. Also loads of queues for the ladies loo's. There are 2 for the whole showgarden which is totally inadequate - dont forget to take out loo roll with you as there are never any in there. A couple of tips - go to the loos in the morocco bar and take a tray or something else suitable to carry drinks. Order at least 3 times what you need as queues will be approx 45 mins. (this is only usually between 9-10.30, other times the queueing is OK).

Now onto the general theme on the reviews - MOZZIES. Loads of them !!!! Even people in our party who dont normally get attacked were covered. Sitting in the showgarden during the mini disco was great fun. The kids danced while nearly every adult in the place sat wafting mozzies out of the way. Normally, these little pesky buggars attack without you knowing but in this place they just attack on mass. I would suggest buying Bens 100 Safari Strength repellent (95% deet) as I dont reckon others work and take plenty with you. After I ran out I spent about 28 euro in the local chemist and it was crap, waste of money. My 2 yrs old and 8 yrs old bot came home covered in bites from head to foot. Luckily, my daughter didnt get any for some reason !!!! Also, my kids screamed when I tried to put the local stuff on - they said it stung and I had to whip them in the shower. Other families with kids said this had happened to them.

We wouldnt go back to the Bellueve, just because of the mozzies. If this hotel had been located anywhere else then my score would be higer. However, dont let this put you off. Some people arent bothered by the mozzies.

Overall, we had a good holiday and got a great deal. I would suggest to anyone with kids to have a look at otbeach.com website as kids go free whenever you go or book so with 3 kids for us it was a great price. We paid £3000 for a party of 10 for 2 weeks all inclusive and one of these weeks was the kids holidays!!

read the reviews and taken plenty of repellent as there are mossies everywhere!
we stayed in fedra 2 and our 2 bedroom appartment was spotless and spacious.we had no problems with noise in fact it was a little to quiet for us!
we didn't eat on the complex but did buy a few groceries from the mini market and they were priced the same as in the main street.
as the complex is so big it was a 10-15 min walk just to get out on to the main road and a further 10 mins to the beach which is stunning.
food and drink in alcudia is similarly priced to here in the uk we ate in lots of different places and no bad tummies.
pirates adventure is worth every penny, loved by all ages,we also went to marineland and aqua land which we all enjoyed too.
alcudia is lovely but a week was enough for us as its a little too impersonal and repetative

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

Never again!! Just returned from one week (thank god only 1 week)at the Bellevue. We stayed in Ledra II building, which I must say was a great size two-bedroomed apartment. Only the cleaning service led a lot to be desired. Beds were only change once during our stay and not made the other days. In fact I think the maids only came into our room twice the whole week we were there. The floor was never cleaned.

Main problem was the food - YUK!! We stayed all inclusive. QUEUES, QUEUES, QUEUES - we spent the whole holiday queuing and waiting. The restaurant definately can not handle so many guests - one chef cooking meat at night (he got in such a panic I think with the length of the queue - he just tossed the meat onto the serving tray before it was even cooked properly. Finally after a quick battle with other holidaymakers who had also been waiting ages managed to grab a piece of meat - only to get back to the table and see it still raw in the middle (pork)! By this time the rest of the food was cold on plate. Problems every day with uncooked food!! Needless to say we got the runs!!
Sunbeds - If you like getting up around 6am to reserve your sunbed you should be fine. Otherwise you have no hope. We managed to claim beds around the pool once during our weeks stay and then the kids got moaned at by the miserable life guard for shooting water guns. She told them they were not allowed to use them in the pool - WHY ARE THEY SELLING THEM IN THERE SHOP IF THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE THEM????. Not much fun having to sit on a chair all day cos your kids want to go in the pool.

The showgarden be prepared to be eaten alive by the mossies - Beware after standing in that QUEUE for your drinks you may have been bitten to death!! Queued for a drink for around 45 minutes. Gave in in the end and ordered 3 each (these were to last us all evening and by the time you got to the third it was horrid) but this was the only way round it. And being All Inclusive I would have preferred more than 3 drinks each all evening. Honest it was too much effort.
I could go on and on. But I'd just like to forget the whole experience.

Don't like to worry you but if you have booked this holiday August I dread to think what it will be like.
Needless to say we will NEVER BE RETURNING HERE!!!!!!!

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

Accomodation:Tatty,appalling.
Staff:Rather rude, unhelpful need to brush up on their English.
Location:Shocking.Quite a trek to the beach as there is only one entrance and exit out of this hideous resort.
Noise:Very loud at night regardless of your location on the resort.I stayed at the opposite side of the show gardens and I felt like I was 2 feet away.Loads of inconsiderate yobs f*ing and jeffing throughout the early hours of the morning.Drunken muppets screaming shouting and trying to sing.walls to thin in the appartments felt like you were sharing a room with the entire block of holiday makers.

Entertainment:Erm..... If you call it that. The mozzies seem to enjoy the resorts entertainment they flock to the show garden
Food:Dont eat at the resort there are nicer places to eat out side on the main road.Sadly most places serve the same food.

Beach:That was the only decent thing about this holiday.Could've been quite happy setting up a tent there had it not been for all the rain and wind we experienced in our first week.

Would NEVER EVER return there again.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

We found both good & bad points about this accomodation. The negatives would be the permanent smell of drains, lack of sunbeds & as so many other people have stated, the mosquito's. They seem to be immune to any repellent sprays/lotions you may use & all 4 of us got bitten on a daily basis.
There is a dirty lake which runs through the holiday village & this obviously atracts them, but don't be fooled into thinking they only come out at night! They are on shift work & will bite you from breakfast til bedtime!!

The positives did outweigh the negatives though & we did have a great holiday. We were self catering & stayed in Fedra 1. Our apartment was very spacious, lovely & clean, & we had no complaints about the maid service. We had all kitchen facilities to make a meal, such as a hob, microwave, toaster & kettle. But more often than not, chose to eat out at the local restaurants.

We had no trouble with noise - day or night - but did have 2 seperate visits of Spanish teenagers. They arrived en masse & stayed for about 4 days, & although they didn't cause any noise as such, during their stay it was almost impossible to get a sunbed or swim in the pool.

The hotel facilities are outstanding. My eldest had a choice of golf, tennis, darts, snooker, archery, football, bikes, pony riding, the list goes on... all this & of course he could also play in the clean swimming pool.

There was a miniclub which occupied my youngest for 2 hours each morning & again in the afternoon. She did something different every day, played games, did art & craft activities, etc. & had the chance to win certificates. It was extremely safe & she always had to be signed in & out.

The entertainment team were very friendly & spoke about 4 languages each! The evening shows were also very good. We saw tribute bands to Abba, Westlife, Jackson 5 & the hotel team put on their own performances to Grease & Disney.

I have been twice to Majorca now & don't think I will return. The mosquitos spoilt it for me as we were inundated, but if you find a magic formula to deter them, you should have a fun time here.

was our 3rd time to majorca bit first time to Alcudia  we stayed for 8 nights at the Bellevue, we were in Fedra 3 which was at the very end of the complex which is massive!

The pool was always freezing, not enough sunbeds and no bar or music. there was a shop near by though. The apartment was nice but walls were so thin you could hear other peoples conversations and loads of banging moving furniture etc. We thought it was to far from the beach but a nice walk entertainment wasnt to good one small bar for all inclusive queing up for ages glad we werent all inclusive!Alcudia is a lovely place great for the kids plenty of nice places to eat and drink we ate at a different place every night,we went to Lunas grill to watch the entertainment every night "take that" tribute were really good as were the rest of the entertainment. the hair braiders were a pain always asking to do the childrens hair even though you told them no. The beach was lovely not to busy.

we went 24th may till june 1st wouldnt like to go july/aug would be to packed and no room at the pool or in the bars if you wanted a table. I only got bit 3 times by mosquitos and we found the spray good enough to keep them away.

we would go back to Alcudia but not the Bellevue.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

Sorry to say if someone paid me i wouldnt return to this hotel again.

We were dropped at reception 2 adults 4 children ages 6,4,2,1 and advised we were in minerva 1 block, no explaining where about the block was, given a map and that was that no offer of a luggage trolley which we later found out was available for a 10 euro deposit.
Off we went in search of our room 4 kids 2 pushchairs 5 suitcases it was not fun, luckily an elderly couple staying close by helped us as they knew where to go.
Lifts, appauling big enough for 1 small pushchair 1 child and adult and that was a squeeze thank god we didnt bring the double pushchair it would not have fitted, the lifts were constantly breaking down, my husband would often go up to the floor via foot that the lift was apparantly on get in it to bring it down to us, our apartment block  had 6 floors we were on the 3rd floor room 312 inward facing.
Our first impression of the room was good it was a good size the balcony especially big and safe, kitchen ok cupboards looked new, the fridge was dodgy wouldnt keep its temperature, freezer compartment didnt work.
we had a kettle toaster microwave, mop bucket a very smelly tea cloth, which was never replaced, basic kitchen bowls etc 2 hobs no oven, as we were half board it was ok.
the bathroom was adequate the window had no lock on it though and easily swung out far enough to allow a child to fall out of it so we tied it up shut.
bedrooms, 2 of which both had 2 single beds, good sizes wardrobes a safe in one, beds comfortable enough.
living area had a tv unit and tele single chair settee bed and coffee table, there was a table and chairs too.
All a bit dated but ok.

Maid service was appauling they would replace towels monday wednesday friday, change the beds once a week, they made the beds a max of 3 times in the 2 weeks we were there.
We cleaned the floors and bathroom and kitchen as either the maids hadnt or if the had they had done a useless job.
Food, lifeless bland luke warm boring, undercooked, when we complained to management about the pink sausages they just said thats how they are some people dont like them fully cooked.
we hardly ate there in the second week as we all came down with a severe sickness diahorrea bug lasting 6 days there were a lot of familys the same, i blame the food and lack of cleanliness for it.
I can safely say we have never been so sick the worst one was my 1 year old, poor thing.
when we did eat in the food hall they were constantly running out of food, you were always waiting for something to be cooked by which time the first food you had on your plate would be stone cold by the time you ate it.
table service was slow, we were always waiting for them to clear plates, severe lack of highchairs 5 max in the restaurant if you were lucky, take a harness as most highchairs didnt have one.
When we complained we were moved to the leda building restaurant in the second week, the food wasnt any better still the lack of highchairs, smaller restaurant though.
We only visited the food hall as a family for the first few days before the sickness set in, my son seemed  well again  one evening and was hungary so went with me for food that evening,by the morning was being sick again, needless to say he wouldnt eat in there again, even a chicken and mushroom pot noodle from the nearby colber supermarket tasted good and flavoursome, that says a lot about the hotel food.
colber supermarket is much cheaper than the onsite spar, the spar has a tendancy not to price everything and by god do you get a shock when you get to the till, use the colber, just turn right out of the bellevue and across the road.

We were not the only ones with the sickness we got quite friendly with one of the reps who was from holland he said his room mate and 4 others from his team had it also.
swimming pools were busy, which didnt bother us as we used the beach which took about 10 mins or so to get to what with all the kids pushchairs buckets boats towels etc wasnt bad.
Enteretainment was around the minerva pool at about 10.30am in the morning, but wasnt up to much, we found the pool at the appollo building behind reception suited us better as it was small for the kids.
There was a sign saying no reserving sunbeds but that was a laugh loads of beds were being reserved this was
probably due to the severe lack of them, it also stated that the pools were to be emptied at 6pm for the chemicals to be put in, im sad to say this never happened frequently we saw people in there past 8pm at night, so was it any wonder there were so many sick people about.
The public toilets were foal to say the least the ones in our apartment block, the showgardens ones reception, they were all disgusting.
the about 10 times over in one area.

The outside grassed areas were very well kept, the mini disco which was in the show gardens at 8pm followed by the evening show at 10 pm were fairly good, but the mozzies down there were too much a real pain which kept us away, we used jungle formula, but believe me the smallest bit of skin you missed they would bite, luckily they didnt touch the kids at all though, you could spot the people staying at the bellevue a mile off due to the amount of mozzie bites.
the kids playground opposite the morroco bar was well maintained and good fun for them.
There was a small fairground each evening near the showgardens around 2 euros per ride, very grumpy owners though.
crazy golf was a good laugh as was the go karting quite expensive though at 20 euros for 8 minutes.
The grounds were not very pushchair or wheelchair friendly as where are apartment block was to get to our original food hall you had to go over bridges to get to it to bridges with steps either side great with pushchairs altenatively you had to walk all the way round which was a good 10 minutes extra.
From our apartment block it would take 10 minutes to get to the exit of the bellevue, the top of the main strip, loads of hair braiders, thank goodness my kids are boys, looky looky men with sunglasses, no frills excursions nearby to the colber supermarket.

Beach lovely as always could walk out for ages before it got deep, horse ride from the beach back to the bellevue 15 euros, was a good laugh, banana boat etc on the beach, once out of the bellevue we had a lovely holiday, i wouldnt stay there again and certainly wouldnt recommend it to anyone, sorry for those already booked, im normally easily pleased i love majorca just not here, it was certainly hellview for us and not belleview.

alcudia was great, we all had a fab time i would go back again!
loads to do but i think 1 week there is plenty. We staryed at menerva2 i recommend u take plenty of money if u have small children like me! we spend a bomb and things were a little pricey!

we ate in yummy yummy's that was good for money and pretty english. we ate in cheers which was a little walk away ova the bridge and left by sol alcudia hotel that was nice and good entertainment for kids, disco everynite and childrens games also karoke, but liked kids off dance floor bout 10, i wish we found it earlier but round the corner from cheers was peach pit and it was the same sort of thing but i rekon better. kids welcome all night was open till 3.30am while we were there we saw jake from tweenies, bob the builder and fifi, my little girl loved it! not sure if they served food tho! beech was lovely nice a shallow for quite a way, people come round with a wheel barrow full of fresh fruit for 3 euro was lush and juicy. wouldnt bother buying lilo and floats if u cant afford it as there were loads of people who dont take theres home and give it away! there was loads of chinesse restaurants dont go to the first 1 it was horrible food and was rushy go over the brigde towards the beech and theres better ones. there was a pancake stall which was just before the bridge wicked there the man who cooks the pancakes is really fast a wicked/funny to watch some people had there video recorders out! u will know what i mean if u see him!!! mozzies were a bit of a pain i didnt get bit but my sister did so it depends really! i was a bit nervours about the cot thing coz reading a few on here bout cots for babys well if there all like the 1 i had it was fine really nice actually!

i was woundering if there would be a kettle or micro or anything and no-one said anything bout them but there was, we had a mirco, kettle, toater, electric hob, was pleased about that!

over all it was a good holiday. recomend it. have a lovley holiday!

My/Our Holiday Opinion:

Have just returned from a average holiday in the belle vue apts. It was a good location with shops and supermarkets very near by.Therre is also a pharmacy oposite the main entrance. The beach isnt exactly easy to get to unless you are willing to pay for the little boat that goes there and back although it does not exactly go the whole way(you have to cross a busy main road).Do not worry iff you see any jellyfish as when they are washed up they are unabel to sting (i no this because three spanish people picked it up and took it out of the sea when it was washed up)anyway .. the rooms where quite adequate although no AIR CONDITIONING.

Also if you are booked into this holiday MAKE SURE that before you go you buy mosquito/insect repellent as a lake is sittuated inside the resort and it seems to be a holiday place for mosquitos and if you dont purchase some you will almost be bitten to death! Also a word of warning DO NOT go to the mini golf course as there seems to be more mosquitos than humans there!I was slapping my legs for dear life but no use the next day i came up with about 50 mosquito bites!

The most annoying thiing that happened all holiday was our card key to get into our hotel seemed to refuse to work .. Well we were coming back from a late night of rather good entertainment ( it was about 11:30) we climbed up the stairs to the third floor to get back . Oh , no our card was not working! So we traipsed to reception to tell them. The gave a card a sort of swipe and said "It will work now" we thanked them and went back to our block thinking this was the end of it.But oh no it still wouldnt work  so we went back to reception for the second time and they said they would send a qualified man to come and use some electric device to unlock the card swiper on the door so we went back and waited for him and after 15 mins the time was now (12:00) and i had a sleppy 5 year old practically asleep standing up he arrived and he took us up to our room and swiped the door but .. it didnt budge . So he sent us back to reception to get  another room .. well i wasnt happy with this as all
